  1. Quite simple really. If the chip in that ECU is the same as the chip I analysed from another SPL Central 20 ECU, it isn't suitable for cars over here. I've laid out actual real data in the previous post, entirely up to you whether or not to heed it or listen to others. Best solution: Have that specific chip analysed yourself :) Oh, I think I bought a C20 ECU years ago for about £40. I've had them for the RB20 as well. Do you want a car with 11050 RPM limit and too much timing for UK fuels? If so, I've still got the map
  2. Shilling is against eBay rules, ending an auction early is not though.
  3. This is pretty definitive: http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm At 241lph / 13.5v / 3 bar, it should flow enough for 540ish bhp at the fly.
  4. It's annoying, but also up to a seller whether or not they wish to end an item for sale for any reason they wish (they get 4 options IIRC, no longer for sale, error in listing etc). Well within eBay rules. You can also end an item early to the highest bidder.

Can't do the 17th, I'll be at Pod that weekend.

  7. Years of mapping Nissans for ya :D There is no guarantee that the map in this ECU is the same one as I first analysed years ago, you need to check each specific chip to be able to say 100% how it is programmed. Then throw it away and get it remapped and set up properly :smartass:
  8. I've had a C20 ECU before. On the C20 map I have before my very eyes right now: 11050rpm limit. Timing mapped up to 7500rpm, fueling up to the standard 6400rpm. Both fueling & timing only mapped to STOCK load (boost) levels. For fueling this is 88, timing 96 (these are arbitrary values). Just the same as the JWT maps, well over a decade old and created when hardware consisted of EPROM emulators and/or burners and software was archaic. Kind of obsolete now. Timing is way too advanced for anything less than 105RON. Its 6°-7° more advanced than the stock JDM map at heavy load. This equates to 24°-27° at full load. That's race fuel territory... Fuel map is terrible, same as stock until medium to heavy load, then just dumps in a load more fuel. This is a bodge way of having suitable fueling past the load point of 88 off the end of the map, so to speak. AIV flags disabled. Fuel increase rate 94%. Safety RPM limit same as stock 4400rpm. Speed limit disabled, fuel cut disabled. It's a typical old school JDM overly-advanced map. I personally wouldn't use one.

  10. Quoted for truth. Let me know how you get on with the GTiR. Mine's a bit of a beast and I'm just building one back up from a bare shell for export purposes :cool3: As for the Scoob, driven quite a few now. The most recent one was a UK spec 2000 Turbo S Reg, really nippy and very nice to drive, but had quite a few issues (weak clutch, massive oil leak). I personally wouldn't choose a car like that as a daily, wouldn't choose any Jap turbo car to be fair, hard to keep them standard knowing how much power you could have. I reckon I'd have an M5 if I had to choose a fast, smart daily driver. I find it quite difficult finding the time to enjoy both the Pulsar & the Zed, and more often than not look forward to driving the MK3 Mondeo V6 ST lookalike. I've even started modding the engine in that though. It's a disease
  11. From stock intercooler to a cheap eBay FMIC & dual intakes, lag (boost threshold) was reduced noticeably. The only time I've made a car more "laggy" after modifying the intake was when I went from this: To this: It pretty much ruined the drivability of the car, but it was needed to cool the charge at 32+ psi :D
  12. I was hoping to get to Pod last weekend to set some times in the Zed, but was stuck up in the north of England. We've got the making of a strong team over on IMOC, and giving the power:weight ratio of my MR2, will definitely be running that car. May run the Zed as well, though :D
  13. I thought I specifically showed you that as I fitted the chip whilst you were there. It was either that or I may not have managed to tax it before the Post Office shut, plus your mate would never have made it to work on time ;) Did I not leave the ECU bracket in the car for you? If not, drop me your address and I will send one up to you along with the four screws. My own ECU is unbolted at all times, I wouldn't have let you take the car if it was problematic in any way :thumbup1: Both doors locked just fine on the fob when I last alarmed it and went to tax it for you at 4.30pm. Not sure what has happened there. I've had a similar issue on my main Zed a couple of times with a totally different alarm system. Rectified by locking the door from the inside and unlocking/relocking via the fob. Try a few different combinations. It could be that the lock actuator has failed though, which would be really unlucky. To lock the door, whilst open use the inside lock and close the door with the handle up. Don't lock your keys in the car! When the engine is up to temperature, put the heater on 40°C and it will come out of the footwells mainly. Reduce it to around 27°C and you should notice the heat coming out of the centre vents. As has been said though, only Nissan knows where you want the heat! For the stereo, you could take a feed from the cigarette lighter as that definitely has 12v running to it as the wideband was powered from there. One more thing I totally forgot to mention, it's running a PTU from an RB26DETT. No rewiring required, but the plugs are different, hence the electrical tape. It's not ideal, but I've run exactly the same in mine for over a year. At the moment, yours is in the stock position on the driver's side cambelt cover. It's always worth separating the loom section at the temp sensors and relocating the PTU to a cooler place. I would have done it, but I only had about 3.5 hours to prep the car for you including swapping the interior :whistling: Don't forget you can disconnect the AIVs. Let me know how you get on.
  14. I've used it directly on chrome trims without any primer (I was in a rush). Did the job well, although I did catch one of the targa trims with something and it peeled straight off. Same as with any paintwork, it'll only look as good as the sprayer's skills allow.

  16. N75 valve is the OEM boost solenoid.
  17. Yup, I've got a black Auto TT showing 75k miles. Got a few little things to do like sort the targa & windscreen mouldings and it'll be ready to go. Not advertised it yet, was going to this week at some point.
  18. You just need a 487bhp 3SGTE in there now..... :whistling:
  19. Hello & welcome! Have fun restoring it :D
  20. There's another Zed on that site as well
  21. For the original misfire, ensure the injector connector isn't full of Nissan's patented green corrosion. I've had Zeds running on 4 cylinders due to the loom. Simple listening test with a long screwdriver found which ones were down. As for the current issue, definitely a corrupted chip or faulty ECU. However, I have been able to cause a CEL & fans on constantly by uploading a known good map from one car to another car with a different ECU (same type, different part number). The poor running is caused by the ECU dupming in a load of fuel. If you had a wideband hooked up, you would see around 9:1 AFR with the CEL illuminated.
  22. I only use UPS or Fedex, had issues with others not turning up. Sent wings, bonnets & many carbon fibre spoilers all over the world with no issues. The wing on its own won't be a problem size-wise, but the tailgate might be.
