Give it a year or so when the terrible reputation of these cars as being unreliable engine melters with no potential has long been forgotten. Also, what we need is for everyone to buy all the snotters, do them up and sell them for decent money. Collectively, we can do it :cool3: Sell it then :laugh: P.S. 'Turbonoz' stickers add £500 :whistling:

Noooo, I have a bone-stock black JDM Auto TT with 75k miles on it as well. The Turbonoz car is going nowhere! Just need to fit an exhaust system then go see what it can do. With Santa Pod being cancelled his month, the urgency hasn't been there to work on my own fleet. Then there'll be an update ;)

Yup, always the way with 3 out of the Big 5. Last GTO driver I saw gave an appreciative 'is it about to break' nod as they carefully navigated a roundabout. GTO: Wave, nod, pull over and help them fit a clutch RX7: Wave, nod, pull over and help them remove plugs to dry, refit, flood, remove plugs to dry, refit, flood ad infinitum Zed: Wave, nod, pull over and compare chest wigs Supra: They think they're better than us. Yeah, if it was a Mine's ECU for £17, it would have been a steal. Saying that, you've basically got a non-customisable ECU written for Japanese fuels, so how much it's really worth is a bit of a conundrum :laugh:

Polarity doesn't matter, it's just a coil inside the injector. If it did matter, they would be marked :)

You can't remove a genuine Mine's EPROM from an ECU without some serious hard work. Plus that's definitely not a genuine Mine's EPROM.

Ah OK mate, now it makes sense. It was late and wondered if I was reading things correctly :laugh: What you say is 100% true of course: The mapping methods involved are the same regardless of the turbo set up, be it big single, sequential or parallel.

Is that meant for me? If so, not in the slightest. Definitely not :) Above are examples of actual fueling maps for the two different scenarios zhoodyx asked about. The specification of a turbo will have a massive influence over the shape of the fueling map, which is what was being asked unless I've read it wrongly. This is assuming the car is being mapped thoroughly & correctly, of course. Although they are for different engines, the overall shape show the difference between a typical twin-turbo and a big single fuel map :thumbup1:

Examples Normal set up Fueling map from my forged & cammed 1998cc Pulsar running a standard T28H-sized turbo. Runs 12.08s@115mph 1/4 mile in the middle of summer: Big turbo set up Fueling map from my stock 1809cc 200SX S13 running a large "T70" turbocharger with 382bhp/326lb·ft @ hubs: Both maps ran the respective cars at 11.5-12:1 AFR when on boost, despite looking completely different. Both on NIStune with Z32 MAFs. The S13 was running 510cc injectors, the Pulsar runs 560cc.

The big single would be laggy (high boost threshold), you'd be looking at a GT45 at the very least. The fueling map for a "laggy" large turbo set up is very different compared to the fueling requirements of your typical well-matched set up. Yeah, no problem with that at all. You would simply take the MAP reference pressure from the balance tube, if you were still running the stock plenum. You would also need an IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor for the ECU to calculate the mass of the air entering the engine. With an aftermarket system, you need to map this variable (IAT compensation - typically a 2D table).

I was tooling around in a 330ci today. Made me appreciate why I stick with Nissans, and just how good the 300ZX really is. The sound of the Bimma had it trumped though.
