  1. I think "Supaflex" and "Polybush" manufacture in a variety of polyurethane hardness gradings. With softer available for a more compliant ride. Tbh, I wasn't overly happy with the end result on the civic as I expected it to be both sharp AND comfortable but I had no experience with poly bushes. (My son now has the civic and its lowered on coilovers and adj arms etc - comfort is a memory!
  2. Those cars are bleedin awesome!
  3. I rebushed my Civic EG with red ES bushes. Though it no doubt sharpened the handling, it made the ride a bit harsh in comparison to std bushings especially noticeable over rougher tarmac surfaces. I think you can get black ES poly bushings which are a bit more compliant. I have a full set of ES for my Zed and have a fully bushed rear subframe ready to fit but I think the bushes will take the edge off "comfort" when fitted.
  4. Check your rear tyres. If they are unevenly worn at all (esp on inner edge) they car give a bearing noise. I have had it on an Audi TT rear, a bmw mini rear and a vauxhall vectra rear which, when I put the rear wheels on the front, the bearing noise moved to the front!! Dont overlook the tyres. It gives a very similar noise as a duff bearing. if in doubt, try the tyres with abou 16psi and then with about 42 psi and see if the noise changes. If it does, it's probably the tyres.
  5. Chinese turbos...........that's tantamount to treason for lesser mortals! .......I can hear a posse in the distance....and theyre a-saddling up an comin for you!!:2guns:

  8. Do your homework. Ask someone who knows the tyre trade, somone in a busy independent tyre shop (not a kwikfit employee). They will tell you- all this latest tyre grading info is not worth label its printed on in many cases. There has been plenty written about it on the web recently. If low cost tyres were as good as premium brands they'd be fitted to new cars. You just need to keep asking who drives on what brand and how good or not are they. If you stick to premium brands you take a lot of the guesswork around quality/grip etc out of the buying process. Good luck.
  9. Statute of limitations is a good idea in some respects. However, if your mother, aunt, sister, wife or daughter was raped/sexually assulted when younger (not necessarily when a minor) and kept it secret, buried for decades and then some event brought it to the surface. How would you feel about statute of limitations preventing them from prosecuting? suppose the attacker was very much still alive and enjoying life and your loved one reveals a horror story? It's clear that the public are now weary of the relentless wave of these allegations but they need to be pursued nonetheless. If Savile was still alive would we tell his victims that they could only make a complaint if they were a minor/child at the time of the offence? Just a thought...

  16. What happened to Mac and his car? Did he pass away?
  17. Who knows? I'm fairly sure that if Scotland goes independent and it all works out better in the longer term, there might be a fair bit of pain in the short term
  18. Get rid of scotland...? Why do you think that our elected UK Leaders are bending over backwards in a panic attempt to convince the "ungrateful" Scots to vote NO? Why aren't they on TV telling the "ungrateful" Scots to go, leave the union and next time another country does so much for them, maybe the "ungrateful" Scots will be more thankful? .......or are our elected leaders worried that if Scoland leaves the union the UK will be worseoff?
  19. Timber.........I've seen timber in the passenger footwell of all 4 zeds ive had ! .....it's alright for nissan to use timber.....but when I carved out my new oak sills and plywood floorpans.....the MOT man went bleedin mental!
