Gullwing doors
It's all a matter of personal taste, but I think there's nothing sweeter than a subtly modified Zed with decent power and handling. Gullwings/lambos etc end up out of fashion quite quckly and cost lot to do properly. Good luck with your quest though.

Andy Saunders might do it. Cost - ££plenty, if you google his name you'll see his work.

Advice on work and rant!!!!
Sorry to hear this. Take a little time (if you can find it!) Sit down and write down all of the jobs you might like like to do. Narrow it down factoring in local vacancies, logistics, ability, (most people are capable of more / wider roles than they think they are) Start searching and come up with a plan for yourself. in the meantime, try to clear your mind and do your current job as best you can under the circumstances. Keep a wee notebook/diary of your working days and note down events, times, names, specifics (so that you are accurate if you ever need to give an account of what Is happening/going wrong etc) -also worth noting any positive experiences (if there are some) just to remind you that it might not be completely sh*t. Get your plan to change career up and running and bounce ideas off people you know/know you - other people are good at spotting strenghts and skills you aren't really aware of. good luck, I hope you get sme progress.

300zx prices
These cars will pick up in value as time goes on. Ive recently seen previously unloved z31s being advertised at prices generally higher than comparable z32s. -unthinkable 10yrs ago when I first got interested.. It's the market that sets the prices, not the sellers (unless all sellers hold fast to thier idea of value when selling.) Something is only worth what the highest bidder will pay on the day. It can be difficult for an owner to be objective especially if they have an emotional connection to the car (and most people on here who have worked hard improving their cars are emotional about them) We should just enjoy our cars and not get too caught up in the idea that they're undervalued. They are at the moment but that will change.

Guys, this is a big one, I need a shoulder to cry on, and a welder :(
As prev mentioned- you can take a car anywhere and bizarrely any distance for a prebooked MOT. I bought a Zed at Southampton docks auction straight off the boat about 7 years ago and booked it in for an MOT near Glasgow! I drove it back with no reg plates, MOT, UK reg doc etc. I did get stopped on M6 but I had several DVLA/Vosa pages printed out detailing the legislation etc and Japanese docs/receipts etc and insurance. The cops were ok, a bit bemused that what I was doing could be legal but checked it out and let me go. When I left my MOT station and drove 3 miles back home I got stopped by the local traffic cops. One was unsure but the other guy was not happy (no plates/tax/v5 etc). I kept my nerve (and my manners!) I reiterated my understanding of the law and they let me go on my way. You'll be fine. Remember to take copies of the information on Vosa website etc (cos it does seem ridiculous that you can drive 300 miles for an MOT passing dozens of MOT stations en route) good luck!

If the mot garage can patch it up to get a pass for not too much cash you might do that, get a little "breathing space" for yourself, then get to bodymech at a later date?

road tax done today, 30e a week
Probably a useful advertising tool for a custom builder or breaker. I first thought "God No!" but the more I see it, the more it grows on me. I'd change the colour though.

I think that gold one may have belonged to a member (Big Mincey) on here about 5/6+ years ago.

Not EU, Dublin government's way of raising revenue! As mentioned, maybe there's a way to tax it as a uk/ni car

Front brakes binding.....
I had this years ago, stripped and replaced various bit, turned out to be collapsed front hoses. (If they're old and have been clamped with hose clamps while calipers have been off, then that might be your prob) As mentioned, if they free off when bleed nipple is opened, it might point to hoses.
