Is this the thin end of the Wedge?
I saw this on BBC news website. I thought ...."jailed for meeting at KFC"......... If this happens elsewhere there should be a challenge in court (not sure if this application to the court went unchallenged or not) As a precedent has now been set it's a matter of time until it happens near us all. Car clubs/enthusiasts groups etc need to challenge this in court as it happens so that the unreasonable detail (ie no more than 2 cars) is not allowed to pass. If you see clips of the behaviour its intended to tackle (car park /street racing) it's easy to see why the courts will rule against gatherings. However- the number of cars needs challenging so that small groups can meet in peace. ....rant over.... Long live the revolution!

If I were to sell my Zed...
If tbis was a lowly Escort from the same year in the same condition it would be at least twice this price. Lovely wee car, not one I particularly fancy but its a minter.

Need list of insurance companies help had huge estimate
There are so many factors which affect insurance. Age, location, car type etc. The biggest factor is the driver. Background, type of job, no job, driving history etc. Some jobs can load your policy by 100% and some can discount it by huge amounts too. If you happen to have a few even slightly limiting factors, when these are combined it can hammer your premium. My friend couldnt understand that since he had 3 non fault accidents (paid out/liability admitted by other parties etc etc) during the past 2 years and never made a claim himself, his own insurance rocketed. It's all about the likelihood that you statistically pose to make a future claim, based in part on past events. Good luck with it

Import Query......
Pre 1960- MOT exempt. Pre 1973/74 road tax exempt. I think from states 10% import duty plus vat. (Possibly less if vehicle is parts/scrap) There is a guy in Grangemouth who brings in old stuff from US, he advertises on Ebay he seems like an approachable bloke (to ask advice etc) There's info in .Gov.uk website giving details of importing old cars -sorry mate I dont have a link but you'll find it with a bit of googling. good luck.

Car tax question
The registered keeper is the person responsible for taxing and insuring the vehicle but not necessarily the legal owned. For example: if a car is bought on H.P. finance, the legal owner is the finance company until the final payment is made. (Thats why you can't sell a car that is on H.P.)

Got a new V6
Nice car. Be gentle with it if you want reliability. They are legendary for knocking out the big end bearings. If you detect any rattle at all change them right away.. Hyundai now supply an uprated bearing. Hope yours is ok mate. Good luck with it.
