Who is the seller so we can all avoid? Surely not a current moderator?

R32 to Z32 coilovers
Try Demon Tweeks or fleabay. Try searching for "coilover spring perch " as well as lock rings

A mahoosive thanks to mark derby at automozds
I know of an 08 bmw 318 which had a new timing chain and tensioner fitted cause the tensioner failed (hadnt actually jumped timing). No head off etc, just front casings. BM dealer took 2days and £2k. You got a bargain!

Insurance Question. NZR.
£7.5k might not be enough to buy a like for like car. These things a mental money!

checking inner sills
True, but there aren't any hoses connected (or more often disconnected) and allowing rain water to continually dump into the sill, hence less propensity to rot out. :thumbup1:

checking inner sills
If you can get your hands on a borescope you will be able to see inside the sills. Remove the door step trim and pull back the carpet, you will see several circular holes covered with black adhesive vinyl discs, peel them back and put borescope in there, you'll see all you need. The sill structure is 3 or 4 layers, not just an inner and outer. If the sills have been patched already and are rusting, the chances are that there will be much worse inside the sill that you cant see. There is less chance of sill rot with a slicktop because there are no targa roof panels which have a rainwater drain pipe exiting in the sill area. Good luck

Registering an import with 0 paperwork
If this had not been on UK roads, it will be pretty much rust free throughout. Worth saving or using to reshell a uk registered rotter

suggestion
Naming and shaming is one thing, but a user/buyer/customer feedback facility is slightly different but I think a much better concept. It works and is pretty much self regulating. It might also be useful to have a facility for the seller/provider of service to leave f/back too. (this can have drawbacks too though)

Exhaust tuning
I remember a couple of group buys on the AMS manifolds a while back, quite a few members bought them, did they turn out to be crap? I have been offered a pair and I wondered if they are any good?

oil pressure?
The standard oil pressure sensor is notoriously unreliable when it gets old. They then give the symptoms you mention However, so does engine wear. I'd get hold of a mechanical gauge and test your pressure with that.

new intercoolers
I stand corrected- there is a good bit more horsepower to be had in the hands of the right tuner, even with a pretty standard-ish car. As mentioned, check out some of noz's posts on the subject, Mikey Bean too- he has had 400+hp without massive mods.

xtd 6 puck clutch slipping help!
I have fitted many many clutches and have never had one slip from new without being faulty. The bed-in is pretty standard and just like the bedding in of new discs and pads. Gentle use, no fierce applications thus avoiding unnecessary excessive heat generated in the friction material and flywheel/cover for the first couple of hundred miles. Sounds like clutch maybe faulty .

Nissan finally bringing back a small hatchback!
They might be churning out some dreary motors, but Nissan's plant in UK made more vehicles than the entire combined Italian motor industry last year. And exported 80% of them.

Quiet around these parts
I would find it very helpful and easy to use if someone rounded up all of Jeff's How To's, Tech Bulletins and geneal repair photo threads and put them all together in one place. "Jeff's Tech !!"
