  1. So had four new lights to fit, my long ladder out on loan ( typical ) so had to make a creative choice, by UK standard not good but bang on for the local heath and safety regs !! lol, flip flops whilst up the ladder perhaps not the best idea buy hey all done and I am well pleased with the results !! any other Monkey boys on here doing diy jobs ?? Jeff
  2. Perfect.... thanks. Jeff
  3. Ok, so to claify, whilst viewing the timing via the timing light you see the timing jump about ? so there are very little things to cause this, 1 ) The hard idle switch on the tps, if this is a bad connection at the plug, or is marginally positioned it may click on/off and this will raise the timing ( thinks throttle is been opened )and reduce again if the setting or connection is intermittent. cleaning the connector and / or resetting the tps will cure this, you can view the tps open / close signal on ConZult to see if it is pulsing on /off when not using the throttle and that is the problem 2) The cas unit optical unit is failing, this will often also cause retarded ignition / poor power when accelerating, hold the throttle at around 1500 rpm whilst watching the timing light it should be stable, now rev up with a quick blip on the throttle, the timing should advance, if its sporadic or retards the cas unit is at fault. A few tests should make it clear where the fault lies. Also, I would like to know how to lock the ignition on 16 bit ecu via the ConZult.....interested. Jeff
  4. Good luck with your ride !!
  5. Hi Buddy, can I ask what sort of money that is going for ? Jeff
  6. Yes his coke supplier Chris ( as South African guy ) took it off him over a drugs debt ( this is not gossip but actual fact ) Ryan (Baggin`s ) disappeared as so many people were after doing some harm to him, the amount of zeds that came to our workshop after he finished to be repaired was amazing, how he got away with it for so long is amazing, quite a few owners did not see their car again !! this and very similar things seemed to of happened to other so called specialists over the years, remember we saw at least 5 maybe 6 come and go whilst I ran Zedworld, each one did more damage than good to the marque... would write a list of names but of no consequence now. oh and Ryan was an IT guy before, his face was still on his old companies website ( personal page ) for some years. Jeff
  7. Hum.. hum.. hum mmmmm
  8. Nice and easy way to check an injector in a car is with a spare connector and some fly leads long enough to reach the battery, connect the live and then touch the earth on off and you will hear the injector click ( or not ), the same can be done with a 9 volt pp9 battery. Note: cleaning the terminals before testing is essential to get a good connection. Jeff
  9. Yeh, yeh I know..... Portugal ha ha !! Living the dream !! Jeff
  10. It so correct that the customers decides, hopefully you get the treatment and service now you deserve, and have no doubt Jim will be like a breath of fresh air for you compared to you last garage....good luck buddy not that you will need it at PowerZed. Jeff
  11. Like anywhere I guess lol ! Jeff

  13. Confusing me with someone else there, my workshop was anything but dark ??
  14. Really does make some of the back street UK stations look dark and uninviting...
  15. So this morning had my first direct experience at an IPO station (Inspecção Périodica Obrigatória), which is the same as the UK MOT stations. What a great system, efficient, transparent and only 30 euro Four cars been done at the same time on a drive through system, the level of checking was impressive as was the testers careful care of the cars. Bang up to date with shaker plates, linked computers, cctv, emission testing done and displayed on big screens and the testers had mics on taking to the office, the paperwork is done instantly and ready to collect with the car on the way out. Impressed !! Oh and yes a pass Jeff
  16. Same thing for you too leave as is, it will be fine. Jeff
  17. No you do not need to change the valve unless your changing the evaporator and pipework, leave as is and it will be fine, just need to run at slightly lower pressure fill. Jeff
  18. Ok had to dig deep but eventually found these on a memory stick, ( nick here will remember these lol ) First one shows the unit removed from behind the glove box, as you can see no need to remove dashboard. Evaporator out and showing valve wrapped Old valve revealed New valve along side
  19. No not at all, take the passenger seat out, then the glove box, ducting, and fan motor and your basically there, the heater box is jointed to the ac part by clips and need releasing as well as teh fixings to the car. Of course remember you will need to completely undo the main ac pipes that pass through the fire wall at the back of the engine, and as I mentioned before are you changing it to upgrade to the later gas? if so the pipes are different and the threads do not match ( I know ) and you have to change the evaporator as well as the valve. Cannot find any pictures on the net, will see if I can find some of mine when I did one, left hand drive is so different do not look it will confuse you. Jeff
  20. Ok, you have a good nights rest, you going to need it for tomorrow I can see. Jeff
  21. Wow that is an overly simplified viewpoint, how can the UK manufactures be more competitive when Sterling is devalued and the manufacturers are buying their raw materials from abroad paying with devalued currency ? Saying that it has to be accepted that there is little chance that manufacturing will increase as the UK now is a country full of warehouses and distribution bases full of imported goods, this is what industry is on the increase, but wait the bubble may of burst on that now.... it is going to get much worse yet. Jeff
  22. Ha ha no I think your getting confused with Ztech that was run by Ryan Southall known as Baggins here, turned out he was a coke head thief who stole customers cars....oh and he never gave receipts, my advise would be to have the car checked over by Jim at PowerZed however long you have had it, I saw a cut and shut come out of that garage once with my own eyes, its was shocking. Here you go >> http://www.ukmotoringdirectory.co.uk/motoring-profile.php?id=10825 Jeff
  23. No, sorry for the blurred photo, all I could find, are you changing it as part of converting to the new gas, or is it faulty ? Jeff
  24. Driftworks are a UK company so the weak sterling is effecting their purchasing costs, and as Stephen said above Brexit has not actually been implemented yet but the fall out from the vote and the events since is real and hurting many companies. K-Sport and D2 brakes kits have been very popular the past ten years or so, many members here have them fitted. Jeff
