Under drive pulleys, good or bad, explained
So whilst look for info to answer on another forum I came across this link about under drive pulleys, it is short but concise and well worth reading if thy are on your Christmas list >> http://www.metroplexalternator.com/underdrive-pulley-kits.html Here is a quick copy and post of some info from that link > When you install an underdrive pulley kit your engine is not suddenly producing more horsepower. You are simply using less in one area so that it is available for use elsewhere. The typical claim is that these pulleys slow the belt driven components down anywhere from 20% - 30% and 10 to 15 horsepower can be freed up by installing an underdrive pulley kit as well as improved fuel economy and improved torque......all with no adverse effects. Common Sense Check: If vehicle manufactures could increase horsepower, increase torque, and increase fuel economy by simply installing a smaller diameter stock crank pulley , which would cost them nothing extra, then these pulleys would be standard equipment on every model of every vehicle made by every car manufacturer on the planet. Just saying. The claims sound great but as we all know nothing comes for free.... and there in lies the rub. While it takes less horsepower to spin a thing slowly than it does to spin that thing fast it is also true that the slowly spinning thing can do less work than it could if it were spinning fast. A water pump moves less water when it spins slower and an alternator will put out less power if it spins slower and an a/c compressor will produce less pressure if it spins slower and a power steering pump will provide less power assist if it spins slower.

OIl Filters
Well fully synthetic is not a requirement so, save on buying semi synthetic instead, also it can leak past old seals more easily. The 10w 40 is the best option as far as ensuring the grade suits the 30 yr old designed engine and whilst 5k miles is a typical oil change routine the grade will remain correct.

Nissan filter and 5 litres of 10w 40 semi synthetic will be all you need. Jeff

I am beyond upset but Alive
Holy crapola !!! sorry to see your ride looking sorry for itself, echo the words above about no injuries etc. That said, do not under estimate how this makes you feel inside , bet you have already replayed the incident in your head a few hundred times and done the "only if " scenario, just do not let it eat you up, accidents happen, that is why they are called accidents, had a very similar thing happen to me in my zed on duel carriage way and lucky the spin was just that, hit nothing and just a bruised ego about my dodgy driving prowess, zeds will bite in slippy conditions its in their nature !! What's happened to Groover
28th February 2018 ( Part received for conversion ) 1st June 2018 ( Enquired about whereabouts ) 8th December 2018 ( Still no word ) So I cannot help you, but I have had dealings with Groover in the distant past and he was always been nothing less than a gent to me, I can only assume there is something that we do know about ( or need to ) which is a problem. Might be best to put it down to one of life`s little swerves in the road and whilst your patience has been commendable, it might be less bother to let it go, maybe Groover will surprise you for Christmas and if he does that is great ! ( hope he is ok ) if not I am sure the parts can be sourced and find some tech bod to convert another pod for you ( any takers ?) Jeff

How Do I Get Interior Cabin Rear View Mirror Off - Z32?
Ok the mirror has a reusable break away fixing, in the event of an accident if your head hits it, it detaches from the roof section safely, so basically grab it with both hands and pull it down sharply and it will come off. Nothing is broken and it can be refitted easily by removing the cover mentioned above undoing the two screws that hold the base to the roof section, refit the base to the mirror and screw it back up and clip the cover back in. Braided cables from CATS go through floor Have Been Cut through is this a Problem ?
Most common reason they get cut is the sensors ( which are only on jdm models ) are almost impossible to undo when removing the exhaust for any reason. The sensors only bring a light on the dashboard, nothing else so insulate and tuck up, if they short out the light will come on. Jeff

radiator won't fill up - common places for leaks
Wow !! if you genuinely got 30 litres in with no visible leaks then you likely have 20 litres somewhere it should not be like the cylinders / sump, the correct capacity is around 10 litres Jeff

Auto box filter part number
Correct no filters, and three litres is the minimum, get four at least, that said you may as well buy a 5 litre can, and have some spare actually price wise will be better value, oh and get Dexron lll if you can. if only Dexron ll available to you that will be ok too. ( will say for autobox and power steering systems on it ) Jeff Eurocarparts £25 One close to you in Melksham, straight down the A350 15 mins open till 4.00pm today https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triple-QX-ATF-Dexron-III-5-Litre-5L-Automatic-Transmission-Fluid-DII-/352223598451

The dealer is not correct, and there is only one strainer fitted, the Zcentre site is showing both sides of the strainer for illustration purposes. So to the actual strainer Here is a little guide that has some useful pics on doing the job, not wholly accurate but gives a fair idea of what is involved. http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/autoTrannyOilChange/autoTrannyOilChange.html I would add a few warnings, one been the mess, this can get very, very messy when done on the floor let alone in a workshop on a ramp. If your doing on your driveway be careful, have lots of covering cardboard or paper and cloths and towels to hand. The sump plug thread is a welded boss inside of the sump pan, this means you cannot therefore totally drain the pan, put the sump plug back in before removal and when you lower it down it will still have around 1/2 a litre of fluid swishing around so if you tip it it will go everywhere ! It is worth noting that when you do this fluid change and strainer clean that you will not of drained the torque converter, the fluid cooler lines or the cooler so when looking up capacity to refill this must be taken into account as most details about the fluid capacity is a dry one, as in totally empty. When all back together add around 3 litres and start the engine, check for leaks and with foot on the brake select each gear and go back to park and switch off. Let it settle and leak check again, check the cold fill level and add if needed, if all ok run engine till warm and check level with engine running. Run the car for around 200 miles and drop the fluid again just at the sump and refill as above, this will help get some of the mix of old and new fluid back out. Finally, it really is worth getting a price from a local auto trans company about how much for a fluid change with sump removal and strainer clean, reason been, you might find it is more cost effective given the cost of the fluid and time. Good luck and enjoy if you do it yourself. Jeff

Erm, just chipping in here, we are talking about the strainer inside of the box, by nature a strainer unlike a filter can be cleaned out with complete success, use some petrol and an air line. The sump gasket also is massively over priced at Nissan, we used to fit and sell ones that came with gearbox rebuild kits, they were available separately for under a tenner, your local auto gearbox shop should be able to order one for you.
