Hi all, Another year has flown by, so before it's too late, we have to choose our exhibitors for this year's show.... Classic Motor Show | NEC Birmingham (necclassicmotorshow.com) It's a full-on event; you will have to be there on Thursday 10th November (at a specific time allocated by the NEC) to place your car on the stand - and you will not be able to drive away again until late evening on Sunday 13th November. You may, of course, drop your car off on Thursday and then return to collect it on Sunday - subject to leaving the keys with one of us who will be there for the duration. However it would be preferable if you could also stay and man the stand for the whole weekend.... It is a big commitment - but you will have the privilege of exhibiting your Zed on the world stage, in one of the very best classic car shows of the year! We are still debating on whether the club will fully fund accommodation costs this year, but for now, we need volunteers..... If you are interested in exhibiting your car, please register your interest in this thread. We need 4 cars, plus one in reserve. Once we have enough interest, we'll put it to the vote in order to select the top 4 and reserve. Ideally, we'd like one of each style on the stand - LWB, SWB, convertible and modified.... But ultimately it's the members' choice - providing we get the volunteers! Thanks for your support, Richard

Looking good Gary!! Always good to get recommendations for detailing products ? I have been using Graphene hybrid wax this year and have to say, it's good stuff. Easy on, easy off, great finish and excellent durability. Graphene Wax & Free Accessories — AutoBead Also helped by adding the Autoglym (or Chemical Guys) ceramic spray after washing, as a last step protectant.

I bought a Yuasa 3000 series (part no 030) from Allparts back in March 2020 - only cost £107 - and have had no problems with it. I also keep a spare one (same model) on the garage floor next to the Zed, to serve as a booster - and so far it hasn't been needed.

I bought some Autoglym Rapid Ceramic Spray the other week, so after washing my Zed I gave it a wipe over with it.... .....And I can highly recommend it!! Really easy to apply and wipe off - just like a detailing spray - gives a nice shine and it repels water pretty well too. Excellent product to refresh your existing wax or ceramic protection between proper applications. And another excuse to post some shiny Zed pics ? I also applied it to Julia's Rangie too and attach a couple of pics for comparison.

Hi folks, I have just replaced the red "Z" badge on the front of my Zed, so if anyone wants the old one, you're welcome to it. It has a stone-chip (hence why I bought a new one) and it came apart from the metal ring during removal. You'll need to glue it back together and source some adhesive backing to reinstall it (make sure you do it the right way round, the little "studs" are handed (one side it bigger than the other), to match the holes in your nose panel..... ?

Bringing this back to the top, as it's only one month away now....... Please register interest on the thread, as I'll need confirmed numbers in about 3 weeks in order to organise catering with the museum. I will also enquire into hotel accommodation for the Saturday night, for those travelling from afar and wanting to stay over - and join each other for a meal that evening ?

I agree - or more likely one of the turbo oil seals. TBH, unless your Zed fails its MOT on emissions - or it really starts to consume oil - I'd live with it until it becomes a problem.... IE when it starts to perform badly, or you're forever topping up the oil. Where are you based? Maybe another member can meet up with you and offer an opinion after seeing it - or perhaps you can get your Zed to Jimmer, for him to cast his expert eye over it.

Seconded - I had the same problem.... Jimmer cleaned the connectors a couple of times, and all was good for a year, then the issue would return. New connectors cured it ?

A work mate of mine has seen a nice blue SWB parked in the Hayes/Uxbridge area a couple of times whilst visiting his gym in the last few days.... Reg number is L688MEP and from the pics he showed me, it looks like an NA. Is it anyone on here? I'll give him a club flyer to pop under the wipers next time he sees it ?
