.......Nice one Tom - glad to hear you're both still looking to do this mate ?

Possibly not Vig - it's still early winter and temperatures will probably not have dropped to sustained low levels for that... Unless we have a November cold spell, I reckon we're safe from the salt until the beginning of December.... Fingers crossed ?

Headlamp washers - Keep or Delete?
Yup - what he said.... keep them, if only for show. I would (maybe) only delete mine, if I decided to fit a '99-spec front bumper - but then I'd have to the whole hog and get a J-spec headlight switch pod, without the washer button and remove the pipes etc. My OCD would not permit me to have a switch that didn't operate anything ? I am proud to have a UK spec car, so even if the washers did not work properly, I'd keep them in place as part of its provenance ?

I have booked a hotel for the Saturday night - so Julia and I are a definite "yes!" And by coincidence, it is right on the seafront, so we won't have too far to travel in the morning ?

Autumn Zed pics 2022
We have had some nice sunny autumn days this past couple of weeks - giving us the perfect excuse to get out in our Zeds for a nice drive..... ....So let's share our pictures in this thread. Hell, we could make it into a competition, although not for gain, just for a fun. Or maybe a bag of sweets for the winner LOL! Recent pictures only though, no digging out old ones ? I'll kick off with these, from last weekend.

What did you do to your zed today?
Today I washed my Zed, it was looking rather dirty after nearly two weeks of regular use - and passing the 125k milestone the other day. I then gave it a wipe down with Chemical Guys ceramic spray and put it back in the garage before the rain started to fall..... I also fitted some Nismo smoked side repeaters - I got the idea from one of Vig's earlier posts. I have to say, I prefer the darker lenses against the blue paintwork. Plus the genuine Nismo ones, whilst not cheap, are much better quality than the clear aftermarket jobbies. They feel more substantial and click very satisfyingly into place....!!

NEC 2022.....!
Hi folks, The show is now 4 weeks away and we have three volunteers, plus Tom, whose car can make it, but sadly not Tom himself.....! In the absence of any more volunteers, I am of the opinion we should skip a vote and simply select Joel, Rob (Howl) and Mike as the first three attendees. Does anyone have any objections? If so, please speak now or forever hold your piece.... ? I know Tom is making plans for a proxy-driver/attendee to man the stand with his car, in his absence... So, on that basis we have a possible 4th exhibitor in waiting. I plan to be there on Thursday for set-up; and like last year, I will probably drive up in my Zed.... Which can be used as a last-minute stand in, if for any reason someone has to drop out at short notice. Although I can't be there every day. So assuming we are all in agreement, JP, Howl and Mike, it looks like you're representing us this year. Thanks guys - I really appreciate your support!! I'll discuss accommodation costs with the rest of the committee - as said, I have booked a house about 10 minutes away for you to stay in, and will share details shortly by PM. Tom, no doubt we shall speak soon ? I am surprised not to have heard from Andrew though - he always loves the NEC show and is a great ambassador for the club and the Z32 every year....

NEC Classic Motor Show 2022
LOL - you certainly are mate! I'll PM you ?

Meetup and Drive 30th October 2022
Yup - what he said! Whilst I am still a provisional "yes" I would be staying in Eastbourne the night before, so will happily meet at 8. Like last weekend, how nice was it to head out after breakfast and enjoy the roads, before the world and his dog awoke ?

Headlights
That'll do it..... You can hide the ballasts under the nose and all will be fine ?
-
Happy Birthday nickz32
Many happy returns Nick - have a good one mate! Richard?

Meetup and Drive 30th October 2022
Nice one Tom!! This sounds like a good idea for a final blast before the NEC and Christmas..... I'm a provisional "yes" but will let you know nearer the time. I'll look at staying in Eastbourne on Saturday, rather than drive down early Sunday morning - and would head home from Box Hill after lunch.

New Z32 owner -IoM
Jimmer at Powerzed now has all Zedworld's old records - give him a call..... ....And Jimmer remains the ZX-pert; pretty much all of us take our cars to him when they need attention ?
-
SALE - Air Con Compressor
Are the UK/JDM spec compressors not interchangeable? I thought there may be differences between years of production (perhaps later cars more compatible with R134 gas); but otherwise, year for year, most parts are the same....??
-
Headlights
LOL - but essentially, yes ?

Headlights
Wise words from Alex there.....! Remember, the tester has to know that your HIDs are aftermarket to fail the MOT - so hiding the ballasts and sticking to 5000k or below, makes it less likely they will know. 1990s Japanese super-coupes were way ahead of their time and came equipped with many new innovations... So when they see the HIDs fire up, they may just concede they might be OEM ? ....Unless they read this thread ?

NEC 2022.....!
Nice one Mike - and what a nice looking Zed you have mate..... I was hoping for a white one this year, to vary the colours on display! Thanks for stepping up mate, most appreciated ?
-
NEC 2022.....!
Just like last year, I have booked an Air BnB house for those attending the show. It's under10 minutes' drive from the NEC.... .....As said, we're still debating what the club will fund - but for reference, the total cost for three nights (Thur-Sat) is £660, for 4 people.

NEC 2022.....!
I reckon that could work mate ? I was planning on standing in as our "reserve" car - and would be doing exactly the same thing....!
