  1. Just give him your part number mate as they are all the same and as it's going on an auto engine like :) smithy
  2. Yep, just tell them it's a manual engine circa 1990ish also if you manage to have a word with Jeff, think he has a knack of getting the old spigot off quite handy lol smithy
  3. That's all you need to do mate (assuming your not fitting the auto box) Your turbo's go straight on, nowt to do. ECU on an auto is configured for the autobox, so nowt for you to do. No further parts required, so nowt else to do. As said only minor difference is the A/R on the tubs, which in your case don't matter and of course the cams, again it don't matter. If anything you may find the car a wee bit more torquey! Al in all, wapp it straight in ;) smithy
  4. How have you got mongoose rear boxes, it usually came as a cat back system. If you do in fact have the system along with de-catts, you won't really get a great deal better for what ever the cost is tbh fella. smithy
  5. The after market A-pillar pod trim you have, is it secured by a screw at the top? smithy
  6. Had a similar kinda problem many moons ago and in my case it wasn't getting the output from the ECU, another ECU cured that for me. You got another that you can try?? However until the ECU was swapped, which was months later, i remember a relay down in the bottom drivers side kick panel had 2 pins bridged with a wire, summit to do about it works in the same way as the wiring in your house, a ring main circuit, so goes round in a circle basically lol hth smithy
  7. Dohhh you beat me to it, lol Glad to see it has a wee bit of smithy's in there though :hyper: smithy
  8. That's a left hand drive mate! Plus i don't think Si is too much into the bling, just a very clean subtle look. smithy
  9. Decatts on any model is no real biggie to a garage mate and deffo nowt to do with engine in/out. smithy
  10. Chris, before this turns in to a very messy dibs on this and that and you saying it's not for sale, before the thread gets moved for you. Why not quickly copy/paste and put up a for sale thread in the correct section, you can always add to it when you know for sure exactly what's being sold. Confusing thread otherwise ;) smithy
  11. Then please show the link relevant to this discussion  Seroiusly mate, i've had a reasonable good look through and it's all about fitting Zed brakes to other cars, it has some part numbers of certain parts, buts that's it. In cases where some peeps actually use the search function, if they arn't that clever about what's what on these cars, they could read that, see the big wording for 300zx and start stripping their brakes down to find they already have what it says! In the Nissan section menu it doesn't list any upgrades for the Zed.... smithy
  12. That's very good if you own a 200sx, the site is about using the 300zx parts to upgrade to, not what brake upgrades the 300zx can have or do... All in all, for the cost, upgrading to the skyline GTR33/34 sized discs on stock decent working calipers is a good investment. Should GTR Brembo calipers later on become available, simply remove the relocating brackets and stock calipers, sell em and fit the Brembo's, job done ;) smithy
  13. Your best getting intouch with danny mate to be honest. Either way tomorow or monday, they wouldn't leave until monday anyways, so don't worry bud. smithy
  14. You are correct :) smithy
  15. Hmm nice black Zed there in main pic ;) I'll go with 212 belts in last 14 months. smithy
  16. C'mon boyo, give us an idea of how many cambelts you've done now :D or make us guess for a wee prize  smithy
  17. £60-80 oh god i would love that, lol My trip costs me each time i go, best part of £300 and that's without overnight staying which i have to do in one direction, dohhh the perils of living on an island  smithy
  18. Geez mate so surprised you didn't take it back a year ago  Anyway hope he comes through for yer at long last, be good to see ssome pics of it again with an updated spec list :) cheers smithy
  19. Nice wee set up mate ;) So you got an idea now how much longer you gotta wait now to get yer mitts back on your Zed ? Smithy
  20. Syko has a kit for sale http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1313063&postcount=1 As for how much power, i don't recall ever seeing any definate power levels for this. Some have had problems at the lower end whilst some never have problems at the very high end. One guys brand new box broke quite early, though that's considered a one off. Certainly rarer to see peeps moan about manual boxes compared to those with an Auto. smithy
  21. That's a universal one and without any fitting parts, which the correct Z32 specific one does, hence the cheaper (slightly) price ;) smithy
  22. One of my all time fave paint jobs used to be on the back of most jap mags. A full page ad for toyo tyres using a 350z in very sexy metallic green, black bonnet, black roof and spolier. Dig it out and have a look, failing that,,,,,,,,, BLACK!! :D Smithy
  23. Arr geez mate that's bad, so what happend like.. Smithy
  24. As long as they lined up the little windows on the plates as in the instructions mate, you'll be bob on. If they then do as in the link and check out the slave for rod length and still nowt, ??? soz smithy
  25. Just ask him to send you a copy of the actual receipt from nissan minus the personal details, then you'll know. It will either be a long block or short block supplied if indeed new. When i bought mine 10 years agao it had a new shortblock fitted by Nissan and with refurbed tubs, total cost was £6695 yikes smithy
