  1. Pretty sure it was me who supplied it lol Think the guy had a load of stuff he wanted done, it never did get done by Ztech, then you bought it? Anyway, http://www.specialtyz.com/clutchadj.htm This adjustment is very often overlooked. Also i seem to recall with my carbon carbon, removing the little rod in the slave and either shortening it or changing it for a slightly longer one of another car, can't recall which of these they did, anyway bang on after that ;) smithy
  2. What sort of clutch is it fella? smithy
  3. Close, it's TB22, a T25 is nice small upgrade on stock and costs about the same if you buy on an exchange basis from the likes of turbo dynamics. All their z32 turbo's come with a stagger gap seal. smithy
  4. For those companies who make these and specialise in Z32 specific parts, they will provide fitting details, Powertrix and Spl for example. There are pics some where on here showing the damage that can happen using arms that are not z32 specific and when fitted the wrong way and how easy it is to fit them the wrong way. From Spl below, hope that helps. http://www.splparts.com/doc/SPLFUAZ32/default.htm Smithy
  5. Soz mate am not too sure, all i know is he's somewhere up in your direction. If yer didn't mind the drive, i would always reccommend Zedworld in tamworth. Speciailse in sorting those niggly problems zeds have, amongst other work of course... smithy
  6. In that case, i assume you been to andy duffs place? smithy
  7. Flippin eck mate, did yer have to quote all the pics and whole post just for that sentence :mac1: smithy
  8. Have you taken it to any garages? hard to suggest where given that your location as between 2 plump thighs :) smithy
  9. He already has a chip mate, couldn't run his 740cc's correctly otherwise. smithy
  10. With you using the Stock ECU mate, there's only 2 i know off that do it. 1 John dixon who has his own system and does this on both the road and dyno, cost depends on how long it takes him and the cost of the dyno session. Once done, he burns the settings onto another chip and that replaces the chip you already have. There is often possibilities that the current chip is not to far away from what it is best at anyway, thus costs are not great. 2 Rising sun performance ( skyline tuners/builders) have the equipment to change maps in Nissan ECU's. Hope that helps. smithy
  11. Wow, suprised to see she was for sale again like. Must confess Leigh the only difference between yours and this one at first glance is the bodykit and yours is 4 years newer, not only have you very similar spec of engine and clutch etc, but yours is also silver too, yikes ;) Good luck anyways fella. smithy
  12. Cough cough erm the man above who answered yer questions for yer, he can't say it, but i can :D Send him a PM smithy
  13. I do love a nice clean and clutter free engine bay without going OTT, that fits the bill mate, geez thought mine was nice, dohhh :D smithy
  14. Absolutely nowt wrong with the 300 degree set up. A very well designed kit that exceeds the border kit and the sards are up there at the top of the tree as regards injectors go, 850cc is more than enough for what this guy is doing... Don't think a "packet" is the saving when it ain't hardly an expensive item to begin with mate. Just a quick look, might possibly be a 100 quid! think i'd have sards over RC engineering and he'll only be fitting 1 set in the his time with the car too.. smithy
  15. Inpressive me thinks, but a bit OTT on the interior for my personal liking. Loving the bit of "smithys" bling under the hood :D smithy
  16. well everyone has to keep books, so providing the receipts are all genuine with vat and reg numbers etc and details and how paid, then you'll have to take it as that i guess. Kirbz is pretty spot on with prices he mentioned, CTM prices being specialist in this field of work is what i would take as pretty average and reasonable. Your garage were always mappers 1st and mechanics 2nd. I blew a piston there some years ago and they didn't want to know about a rebuild. smithy
  17. I know the last time i was at this garage, no way they had the facilities to do this machining work, some basic stuff perhaps. so they must have invoices for the work they "sent out" smithy
  18. This company are shit hot to deal with, if you PM Kirbz he imported the very same engine from this company, so he can give you lots of info. cheers smithy
  19. Good lad you ;) There's some big advantages doing like this, who can you trust to do a big build over here and gaurantee it, well now no worries this guy is one of the best in the business. Biggest expenses are the labour and amounts unknown for machine work and stripping down and re assembly etc, now no bother it's all taken care in one swoop. Usually time wise for a build like this to be done can be weeks in some cases, once the new engine has arrived your looking at just a couple of days or so. Fitting the plenums, injectors, turbo's/manifolds and the usual ancilleries is a straigt forward job, not exepnsive and not time consuming either so your options as who to use are bigger, though personally i'd use either Jimmer or Zedworld. Use a chip to run the engine in, then find yourself a decent mapper afterwards to set her up and hopefully attain your goal. Good luck anyways! cheers smithy
  20. You didn't email z1 did you? Next you would need 300degree fuel rail kit and 740/850cc injectors. Decent set of turbos and divorced waste gate pipes and Mike smith manifolds, something to run it all like AEM or similar, then jobs a goodun :) http://www.specialtyz.com/turbos.htm http://www.specialtyz.com/fuel.htm http://www.specialtyz.com/manifold.htm http://www.specialtyz.com/downpipes.htm Smithy
  21. and so it should bud and you know how this guys engine are eh :D smithy
  22. If your wanting the power you indicated earlier in the week, then forget that farty ass clutch your looking at. Only a really decent twinplate likes of RPS carbon carbon or HKS would take the serious power. If i was spending that kinda wonga, i'd have a longblock imported from one of the best engine builders in the US, Kyle pucket CP Pistons with full ceramic/moly coatings Pauter or Carillo Rods ARP Rod Studs ARP Main Studs Block Inspected and acid dipped Block redecked Block water passage bored out for more water to back cylinders Block Bored and Honed using a Torque Plate Crank center weight tig welded into place Crank balanced New Moly Coated Race Spec Main bearings installed New Moly Coated Race Spec Rod bearings installed Block prepped and assembled ARP Head Studs Tomei Cams(Your Choice) Tomei HD Valve Springs Tomei Solid Lifters Titanium Retainers Ferrea 1mm Oversized Valves Heads inspected and cleaned Heads Pressure Tested Heads redecked Ported exhaust and intake runners 5 angle radius cut valve job Combustion Chamber work Valve heights set New OEM Valve stem seals Heads prepped and assembled New OEM Cam Seals New Cometic Metal Head Gaskets New OEM Oil Pump New OEM Oil Pump Gasket Engine will come with Heads bolted to block and torqued to spec This Stage 6 Nissan VG30 Long Block engine package is for a Nissan 300zx that wants serious power and the strongest engine available. This package will be good for up to 1200Rwhp and 8000 Rpm Rev Limit. This is not for the faint at heart!! The Stage 6 VG30 Long block comes with a full one year warranty against defects and comes with our 10+ years experience on building Nissan motors. $9.500, plus core charge, yes dollars!! Smithy
  23. TBH mate these guys have taken more engines out and replaced than any other person/garage i know. As said, you get "real" and genuine detailed recepits, the car won't sit there for 2 years and you'll be well impressed with their set up. In fact some garges and peeps who work on these cars, send them to zedworld for their final setting up. Cheers Smithy
  24. So it seems like Jeff and co were kept busy with conzulting loads of Zeds at JAE, thing is who's seriously needed tinkering with and then went hope feeling very happy and who's was bob on that didn't need his magic touch :) Just curious, as generally so many are throttle body inbalance's and timing, which can make big differences... cheers smithy
  25. Well done Kim, geez yer not even a Zedder and you go all out to help at these shows each and every time, top job mate, seriously! Smithy
