  1. Lol! I know, I know! :( :D Mind you, don't know if you got into Prison Break, but looking forward to the next series of that which should be coming on soon... Saw a teaser trailer for Lost Season 3 the other week on t'interweb...looks like it could be verrrry interesting! :D
  2. Argh! I knew the season finale would be frustrating and leave so many questions unanswered but didn't think it would be this frustrating! Violet skies, a massive stone foot with four toes, the return of the mysterious "Henry"....Argh! I have several theories but to be fair they'll probably end up being wrong! And although the writers already have their ending, if the show keeps on doing well they could conceivably spin it out for many more seasons to come...Argh!!
  3. That car, to quote a mate of mine, is a f*cking abortion. But I think you'll find that BarryBoys are actually a bunch of cu*ts that blow syphalitic goats. Easy mistake to make. :p
  4. For me, the opening on the Viper bumper is too big. The upper edge needs to be brought down. The TwinZ bumper is nice but I'm not so keen on the protruding sides. Strangely, I'm currently making one from scratch (first mould has been taken) as a side project that could be interesting if it all turns out ok :)
  5. You're a top bloke Tony and wish you all the best whatever way you decide to go. Hopefully see you round on the circuit sometime soon though! :) Leigh
  6. "Props" for tackling it yourself :) It's not something I have the skill to do so had mine for the VH done by CTM Engineering in Dagenham. Nothing extreme but enough to matter: ported the Inlet and Exhaust ports, cleaned up the combustion chambers, skimmed the surface and done a bit of de-masking around the edges of the valves (also had the cams reground).
  7. 3 cars: JD is building an engine waaaay more mental than mine or Leon's (still using the VH45DE). ;) :D
  8. Just say the word mate ;) Yep, unlike the Yank conversion, going dry sump allows plenty (well, plenty-ish ;)) of clearance so we don't have to resort to sticking it through the bonnet! ;)
  9. Over at Leon's (Alunox in Wrexham) today with JD to start work on Leon's own V8 and to plan out what we do next on the builds. Took the opportunity to take some photos of my engine while it's test fitted in a scrapper we're using. All in all it's a pretty damn good fit :) : Leigh.
  10. Just in case Image can't sort out my existing Trafficstar alloys: 19" Trafficstar STM's in silver. Prices for a 12, 13 and 14" width fitment would be ideal. Cheers! :D ;) Leigh
  11. I went totally smooth on my Zed before I decided to go for the custom arches and it looked great. The "stone chip" paint was the first to go. Do it.
  12. And a belated Happy Birthday from me Mark! Just got back from foreign climes so missed this...did you get your telegram from the Queen then? :D :p ;)
  13. Sorted. And then some! :D Installed Tor (http://tor.eff.org/overview.html.en) with Privoxy and Vidalia, configured them to work with SwitchProxy and it's running a treat. There's a noticeable decrease in speed but I can live with that no problem. If it's good enough for the U.S. Navy it's good enough for me :D ;)
  14. I wish my pockets were limitless but sadly it's far from the case (it pays to be "economical" with the truth regarding budget with her indoors as well! Lol! ;)) With the sale of my existing set-up (the DBA discs and Ferrodo pads are new and unused) I'd be looking for a kit costing no more than £1500-1800 really. Hoping for ~450bhp when she's done (john dixon, also on here has taken his to a more extreme level and will be aiming for ~600bhp when all's said and done). The car has been taken up as the demo/show car for a company called Bodywork Plus. What will hopefully make it stand out from the crowd on the show circuit is that it will have the power to match the looks. All show and no go is something I can't abide! She'll be used for a lot of fast back road driving (abiding by the speed limit naturally ;)) and some track use (albeit rarely as the bodyshop will have forty fits...paint job+gravel trap = expensive! Lol!). The two V8's will definately be taken for a Euro trip to visit the Ring all being well (and I'm currently looking into more sponsorship for mine to do the Gumball run). All good fun, just can't wait for it to be finished now! :)
  15. Lol! :D ;) No worries mate, any advice is always taken on board and gratefully received :) It might all prove academic as I have a friend in Japan on the hunt for a good condition 2nd hand kit...something in a Trust or Endless flavour if I'm lucky! (fingers well and truly crossed on that one!)
  16. Agree with everything there. I wouldn't get anything without looking into them 100%. I already run a GTR set-up and don't take things like this lightly. If they aren't an improvement I wouldn't bother, full stop! D2 stuff isn't exclusively Ebay only though and you can purchase them from reliable sources in the UK. It still remains an interesting alternative and one that may prove viable once the guys who have them have tested them long enough to give a better opinion. I'm keeping an open mind on them for the time being.
  17. Cheers mate, it's appreciated :) Too knackered to have a proper look at it now but will try and get it sussed tomorrow :)
  18. Sounds spot on mate, nice one! Well, if you need a test pilot for the next size up let me know bud :D ;)
  19. No worries mate, thought I'd ask just in case. ;) Yep, I read the thread before I posted it and there seem to be people both for and against, like most things on t'interweb! I'm not so certain the "made in Taiwan" or (indeed China) thing is so much of an issue anymore (remember the "Jap Crap" days? Lol! How things change! ;)). Apparently the calipers for Grex and Rotora are also made in China! I'd definately look into the spec more before going any further though. Will be interesting to see how the Skyline boys get on with them.
  20. Been in touch with the supplier off Ebay and they can do the 356mm kit for £1295 all in to your door. Smithy, are there any other similar spec kits that you supply that go for around the same price? Would be good if there were as I'd prefer to give the money to you! :)
  21. Take a look around PACE's site: http://paceproducts.co.uk can't recommend their products highly enough. and here: http://paceproducts.co.uk/php/products_info.php?productID=oilpump/bgpumps&parent=1 I have a 3 stage BG pump (2 scavenge, 1 pressure) which I'm using on the VH45DE swap. Leigh.
  22. Thanks for the suggestion. Just found a step by step guide on how to configure the add-on :)
  23. Been thinking that maybe it's a good idea to increase my privacy while on the 'net and so recently I downloaded the Firefox SwitchProxy add-on. However, being a bit of a Luddite I'm not entirely sure how to use it! :wack: Would someone mind posting up a walkthrough (for the hard of thinking) on how best to obtain and implement a list of alternating anonymous proxy's? Cheers, Leigh
  24. Heading out now, so will do a search later but I "believe" a Z33 kit will fit with minor modification. Myself, I'd need to double check and make 100% certain before going forward. EDIT: found time for a quick search and it appears that the Z33 fitment is pretty much a straight swap...only thing needed is the holes in the hub must be drilled out to a larger diameter, since the caliper bolts of the 350Z are larger. And you'd probably need an 18 or 19" alloy to get them in (I have 19s so not a problem)
