The American one I saw was $1900, and based on an older 1960s/'70s model.

I've heard that they're good for prolonged sustain but aside from that I haven't a clue. Acrylic bodies have been knocking around since the late 60's/early seventies though. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I'd need to be seated before looking at the price tag...;)

Ok, now I'm completely torn! That looks fantastic to me but it leaves me with the hard decision: do I go with SPA digital guages or Dakota. Aesthetically, the Dakota are winning in my mind, but I know for a fact how well engineered and accurate the SPA stuff is. It's definately going to be one of those two for my own project car though. Nice work indeed :) BTW, anyone in particular I should speak to at Dakota for more info? If you had a point of contact for your Z32 pod it would be great to know if that's ok? Cheers, Leigh.

First saw it at the second meet I ever attended at the Boat Inn in Solihull and a few JAE's thereafter. The interior was always a bit on the lairy side for me but a lovely Z all the same. Nice one :)

With the greatest respect to the guy, and not wanting to knock a fellow snapper too much but those photos are distinctly average for a pro. And that's being diplomatic. Sorry. Too much emphasis these days on taking only half decent photos and relying on Photoshop to clean them up...:x: :(

Sorry, think you misunderstood mate. :) Depending on if it was a go-er, I'd get rid of the KAR gear for your own brand. There won't be much filler left by the time it's finished TBH. The work I originally did has been re-done (by someone who really knows what they're doing! Lol! ;)) and all the custom arch work etc is having moulds taken and it's the product of these that will be going on to make the finished car. Twas just a thought ;) Edit: Not sure what you want to achieve with it but if you wanted "sound off" competition levels with the car, it's probably not the ideal vehicle purely as I'm going for quality (albeit still loud ;)) rather than db level :)

Yes. Me. Trouble is, at the moment I'm using equipment from Nearfield Audio (KAR comps, subs, amps. Specs are in my V8 build Journal: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/journal.php?do=showjournal&j=18 ) but I may not go any further with them as they don't do any in-house glass fibre work (not a huge problem as I do a lot myself and so does the bodyshop I'm working with). My car is being used for the Bodywork Plus demo car but there could be room for a collaboration. Depends whether you want exclusivity or not. PM me if you want to chat.

For the photoshop guru's out there. I want to make some text (which will be quite large) appear metallic, or at the very least gradiated to fade from greys to white. Trouble is I'm not entirely sure how to do this! Any help or pointers would be much appreciated :) Cheers, Leigh

No, a lathe is apparently much better. Although if doing it during work be careful you don't get the crown jewels caught as one may be ripped out and fly off down the workshop forcing you to hunt around amidst the dirt and dust to retrieve the little fella before slipping it back in and stapling the wound shut for fear of the eternal embarrasment calling an ambulance would bring. Then of course you need to settle back for several weeks as the aforementioned part turns black and swells to the size of a water melon before realising that it "might " be a good time to seek professional help. This really happened. Bizarre magazine is a wonderful and informative periodical. ;)

Best. Tool. Ever. Google is your friend remember as I believe there are even dedicated Dremel clubs out there (believe it or not!). Cutting, grinding, sanding and lots and lots of other things. Once you own one you'll wonder how you ever lived without it! Lol! :D ;)

It will be a slightly altered version of mine, created completely in-house at BW+. No, Steve isn't bringing in the Beet Kits mate.

'Fraid so mate :) Once the demo car with the full kit is finished (in time for the 2007 show season) the official photos will be released. Better for people to see them fitted and painted rather than in their current unpainted work in progress form. The kit is based on my designs along with the expert input of Steve and the team at Bodywork Plus.
