Bizarrest conversation today
Thought I'd share this strange experience I had today: The little lady and I always buy each other fun gifts (of the bedroom variety) to unwrap Xmas Eve (to make sure the festive season goes with a bang so to speak :p ) and with this in mind, after receiving a few things off t'interweb I decided to drop into Ann Summers this morning to see what else was going while finishing off the rest of my Xmas shopping. What ensued was truly the bizarrest conversation I've ever had with a shop assistant. The manager, roughly my age, long hair, very good looking, full figured but in a very sexy hourglass kind of way, who was squeezed into a corset that enabled her to virtually rest her chin on "certain areas", asked if I needed any help. After briefly explaining the situation she then took it upon herself to show me round their stock, including all the toys they had to offer. Nothing unusual there I hear you cry, but...she then went into minute detail as to how each one worked, both mechanically (fine) and their effect (Oh my...), each one with a...er...graphic reference to her own experience with them (Sweet Jesus and All the Little Orphans! ). The best moment was when she got round to this particularly large item, mean't for a ladys "derriere"...her response was "I really enjoy this one but you need to be fairly experienced as some ladies find it quite a stretch..." :wack:

Seen these... what'd ya think?
Totally agree. But if I was going to be keeping them a while I'd worry that, what I guess must be cheap, alloy material might suffer at the hands of the elements fairly quickly. Maybe more a wheel to put on before you sell the car? ;) Also have to say that although they're definately an improvement on stock, I don't like either design that much...sorry. :x:

Don't stop Dave! Personally I've been having to watch the amount of my downloads as I've had Tiscali on my back three times now for "abuse of their Fair User Policy". T0ssers. But am now downloading the first one and will be watching it tonight! :D

FAO Si (Pk1) and any other home music gurus: prob with Zoom and Cubase LE
Installed as a generic USB device with no interface (purely the LE software). Found a new ASIO Zoom patch on t'internet, installed it and worked a treat. :D

FAO Si (Pk1) and any other home music gurus: prob with Zoom and Cubase LE
Lol! Typical. As soon as I post, I get it to work. Can only hear playback through the ZOOM unit though, not from headphones in the soundcard output...It's not a problem, just seems strange...Hmmmm.

FAO Si (Pk1) and any other home music gurus: prob with Zoom and Cubase LE
Hi folks, I have a Zoom G2.1u effects module which I've had a lot of use out of. I'd now like to hook it up to a copy of Cubase LE (supplied with it) and Reason to get a few guitar bits down. The unit can be connected via USB so you'd think it would be simple to get the computer to recognise it but being a complete Luddite I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks to Si, I'm running a Chaintech GeForce FX 5200 graphics/audio card. Hope someone can point me in the right direction! Cheers, Leigh

i dont think its unfair
Trouble is, by the time the symptoms of the cold come out, she's been incubating it and contagious for a while already so the chances are you've already caught it...But if you want a few nights peace and quiet without being elbowed in the head while sleeping maybe don't tell her that next time and stick with the seperate room dealio... ;)

Help strong smell of petrol?
Check all your fuel hoses! The metal clips might need tightening (you need to remove the central cover to get at them all) or the hoses themselves might need replacing. Consider how old your car is and, after all the time and temperature changes it's seen, how the rubber will have turned brittle and perished. Also see here: http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/fuelleaks/fuelleaks.html The smell of petrol in the cabin should never be ignored. Do so at your own risk!

Crash Advice
Dan, Rob is spot on I'm afraid. I had an accident back in August 2004 when a guy ploughed into the back of my car while I was stationary waiting to turn right! A supposed open and shut case which has rolled on and on due to various things (ie the guys insurers kept offering waaaaay to little in compensation. I had a relapse of a severe chronic illness as a result of the accident. It's now going to court). If your insurers haven't put you in touch with a good solicitor, I can recommend Garlands. They're used to this sort of thing and are very efficient. Hope it works out well in the end. Leigh.

Single Exit Exhaust???????
And a Happy Xmas to you and yours as well matey! :D :duffer: ;)
-
At last, my cars back from the bodyshop with a few additions!
Cheers mate :) Yep, it's totally stock. The only things done to it at that point were de-swaging, smoothing and the single exit mod. The car is now very different with the arches on and the bumper is being changed again. Instead of going for an off the shelf job (none of which I'm too keen on), we're chopping the bulge off (it's just too big on the 2+2), changing the exhaust aperture again (slashing it straight across the width of the bumper) and adding a diffuser.
