original vs 99 spec front bumper
Agree with Legrath and Mr Bunny. Front end looks dated. 99 spec is much better looking. And I disagree entirely with FunkySi on the coachlines. Lose them. There are enough shut lines left visible to not make it look like a "jelly mould" (it's when people start blending the bumper to the arches and the tail-light surrounds, for example, that makes it aesthetically, not to mention functionally, problematic). Getting rid of them and smoothing them in sharpens up the lines of the car, emphasizing the sleekness of it's original design. The lines detract from the silhouette (which, even today, is still incredibly striking) and are overly fussy IMO :)

Quite like the look of these
Dave, I like the look of these a lot. Have you asked for any more info about them? Would be good to see more photos and to double check they are real leather rather than plastic leather effect. If not I can drop them an email if you like because, depending on more info, like Nick, I'd be interested in a pair (and would be happy to come in with you guys if you're up for getting them together) :)

Mika
Only heard the "Grace Kelly" track so far. My girlfriend loves it (and his taste in trousers bizarrely). Me, it made me want to remove my own eyes with a spoon then push them into my ears to drown out the noise. But what do I know? ;) And on a side note: NIN concert on Tuesday! Woo-hoo! Though I imagine Mr Reznor might provoke a similar reaction in others...;)

Chat room sex...
That's but one of many he's done, he's a serial internet wind-up merchant...and the others are just as funny!

What exhaust?
Again for Leon at Alunox. One of the best exhaust and manifold fabricators in the UK. He's even taken on the manifolds for the V8 projects and that's a hideously tricky job. If you have time, and Leon can fit you in (he's almost always busy) it's worth the trip to Wrexham.

And this is without Google etc...a Doctor Who baddie I seem to remember?

Chameleon Paint?
Steve at Bodywork Plus (see traders section) uses that along with all the other weird and wonderful cutting edge paints you can get. Cracked ice-look or furry paint finish anyone? ;)

Are you famous??
To reprise from that thread: Helped get Kenny Baker (R2D2...who was the guest of honour...my friend was president of the "Star Wars" society...although he had only seen one film...basically it was a good excuse to form a society and get hammered) riotously pissed on 125 year old port at a small Black Tie dinner at Queens college Oxford. Had to drive his modified green Rolls around as he'd left it across two reserved spaces and the Senior Tutor was apparently out for his blood. Appeared in a low budget "art-house" film with Johnny "Reveals All" Ball. He signed my script. Bless. Had "relations" with Imogen Heap. Went on a post-gig bender with half the GLC in Birmingham (just before they "broke" when they played their last small gig at Academy 2). My mate's mate was their dealer. Saw Michael Elphick coming out of a flat in Hounslow years ago (RIP Boon) Stood 2 seats away from Jarvis Cocker when he made an appearance in the crowd at Wembley during U2's Pop Tour. He got a round of applause. Called celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford a "fVcking c**t" to his face when he stepped on my girlfriends ball gown and didn't apologise at another black tie hairdressing do in Stratford (my mom and girlfriend are also in the business and were demonstrating on the same bill). Was amused to see the look on his face (not to mention the evils I got from his "close personal male friend"...) My life is weird.

And tonight's film review is......
Children of Men....10 out of 10! :D Saw it at the cinema as soon as it came out as I was really looking forward to it....definately wasn't disappointed. Fantastic story and cinematography with another sterling performance by Mr Owen and an amazing turn by Michael Caine, certainly one of his best in years. I'll be buying it on DVD!

All my efforts
Ah. In that case I'll shut up then as was going to suggest Image! But would be a little more moula than that. ;)

All my efforts
Tricky question, but if you don't mind me asking...how much do you have to spend?
-
where can i get these ??
Nice to know you can buy a ready made shifter plate! Was going to make one of my own but if there's one already out there that's saved me the bother! Good find. :)

I am seriously considering..........
Please Dave...I really like your Z...don't do it to her! :( The only time I'd go for a door modification is if someone figured out decent aftermarket double synchro helix door actuation (since we're getting technical Nick...:D ;)). In otherwords "Koenigsegg-style" doors. I was following the progress of a chap on t'interweb that was hoping to make them and even asked a friend of mine (ex Rover engineer and general big-brain) to look into developing one a while back with the info collected, but the work involved was astronomical and it never got off the ground. Please don't. Only my opinion though...if you like it, do it! :D

custom door build speakers
Cheers Nick, a rough guide is all I need TBH so that's great. They'll be sat proud (ish) of the door to allow them to be angled towards the driver/passenger so hopefully depth issues won't be a problem but it's good to know anyway! :)

Why i'm not going to reply to you...
Too. Much. Information.

custom door build speakers
Funnily enough I'm about to start work (finally) on the custom pods to fit the component speakers and the sub/amp enclosures to fit the audio gear that you can see in my Journal (luckily I've done it before and am reasonably handy with the old fibreglass ;)). Out of interest, does anyone know off hand the depth of the stock speakers? (My Zeds over in the bodyshop so would be good to know and save a journey over there!)
