Brake Pads
Smithy's spot on about the Ferodo's. I use them myself. Great performers but v.dusty and they squeal like a bar-steward.

Gave the car a clean today...
If I was ever to go for another Z32 I'd want it looking like that. Everything about it, the colour, the alloys, the other subtle touches are just what I think looks good. Nice one matey. :)

new body kit
Which guy from ebay if you don't mind me asking? Currently after a replacement aftermarket rear bumper to fettle. :)

My new alloys
I couldn't possibly comment Si...ahem... :wack: :D ;)

My new alloys
Was quite suprised by the price TBH Si! Was expecting to pay the earth as they're being made to our own specifications but it works out at almost dead-on £2000 including the dreaded....Which is nice :) ;)

My new alloys
Custom made wide arches front and back Andy (DTM/Japanese GT race series inspired with a hint of MG SV). :) We've previously tried 9.5" width 19's and there were zero clearance issues, in fact there's scope to go a lot wider if necessary.

old skool gaming ( c64 )
What a find. Just spent the last half hour playing a few games with a big smile plastered across my face. The games aren't so hot now but it's the memories that go with 'em...playing Ghostbusters again made me think of my nan (God bless her) who used to always fall asleep to the music as she found it relaxing when I was playing. Happy memories :)

My new alloys
Hey Pete, good to see you around matey, it's been ages since I last saw you (manhandling a dash out of your old car for my own nefarious ends I seem to remember! :D). Yup, these things have a way of snowballing out of all control. Bugger. :wack: ;) Was suprised to hear about BBS myself as they're a big company with such a good reputation. I was told by Harry at Image that the word is they're doing it so they can rise again and relocate their manufacturing base to China...

My new alloys
Cheers guys :) It's been a frustrating process with the engine as there seems to be bursts of activity followed by long periods of bugger all as we wait for parts to be made. Unfortunately it's not the kind of build where everything is available "off the shelf", the majority has had to be designed and built from scratch. Not complaining as each component, like the custom throttle bodies, is going to be (hopefully!) first rate it's just with the weather starting to get bearable again I'm missing driving her :( At least the bodywork is almost there and I'm pretty much settled on the colour now which is something! :)

My new alloys
Finally decided on a design. Should be ready to pick up from Image in about 6 weeks (they've got a bit of a back log at the moment as all the race teams are clammering for alloys for the new season. And they've got even more motorsport business than usual with BBS going bust). They'll be 19" rims, 10" wide on the front and 12" wide on the rears. The main guy Harry is coming over to measure them up personally so he can set the centres right back to give them a very deep dish. Photos from the alloys on their display stand:

Confirmation of OEM tyre sizes
Could someone confirm if these are the correct OEM tyre sizes? Front: 225/50/16 Rear: 225/50/16 (J-spec) 245/45/16 (UK) Cheers. :)

Another up-coming film....
Oh My...28 Weeks later and Die Hard...I REALLY hope those two aren't a big let down. The first in particular as 28 Days is in my all time top 20...

What is your 2nd car?
Nissan Sunny Estate. Get in. :wack:

Good, Bad or Ugly
I quite like the motorsport riveted arch look on some cars. Not particularly with that kit though for some reason. Not going for it on mine though. Go figure.

Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
Will give you a proper shout back soon Dave, had a lot of sh1te to deal with since I've been back which has screwed with me noggin. Can't think of another indoor location at the moment that would be suitable but will try and get my thinking cap on. :) Outdoor would be do-able but might be an idea to push it back if that's the case as our British weather is so bloody unreliable!

Metal ?

Merc conversion!!
This has been knocking around the net for a few years now. Amazing work. This was built before the actual model was released.

Beet 300zx Wide Arch
Was only talking about us poor laymen Smithy! ;) Bringing over kits regularly I guess you know what to look out for and have probably got a few interesting connections yourself ;) I just remember the prices some people were coming up with when that TwinZ bumper was suddenly all the rage...ouch. :)

Put it in the car and you'll be caught for charges. Importing a kit on it's own costs stupid amounts (many people on here have looked into it with various different kits not available in the UK and I don't know of one person that has gone through with it yet, when faced with the potential bill). Plus there's a strong chance it could get damaged in transit. Like I said, if you're looking to buy a Z32 anyway and you know a guy over there that can not only purchase but fit the kit for you (;)) it would be easier to import one with the kit already on: you get a decent and reasonably priced Z from Japan (probably with some tasty aftermarket extras) and a kit that no-one else in the UK has got without being charged an arm and a leg for the priveledge. TBH, after my current project is (finally) finished I might do exactly this for a family member.

Beet 300zx Wide Arch
Precisely ;) (Ahhh...Uncle Jack...:D) Nah, b*ll*cks to it Mark. I won't let it grind me down, besides I'm too busy to be ill at the moment...;) Cheers though mate. Hopefully we can meet up again soon when me and JD are back over your way to pick up the manifolds etc from Leon, it's been too long bud :) And as far as the Curve kit goes, if I hadn't had a front and rear wide arch kit custom made, this is one of the only two "off the shelf" ones I'd go for. The other being the Explosion kit (get it on Mark! :D ;)). Actually, I'd also go for an original Strosek but definately not any of the copies as they just don't look as good to my eyes.

I know Mark, it seems daft that it's easier to buy a Z32, get it kitted out and import it than going through the ridiculous hassle of importing a kit. Financially, if someones looking to get a new Z it would work out a lot cheaper all round doing it this way. I've been quiet of late as had a lot on and been off in Abu Dhabi of all places mate. Bizarre factoid: Jeff Goldblum was staying at my hotel. Virtually bumped into him and what I presume was his P.A. in the corridor. Tres weird. Back to earth with a bump though as just opened a letter from the docs saying the results of my last DEXA bone scan shows I've got osteoporosis. B*ll*cks, b*ll*cks, b*ll*cks. Ah well, c'est la vie...hey, at this rate I'll be on my way to collecting the set, so to speak ;)
