Photo Shoot Of Your Zeds........
"As if by magic, the Shopkeeper appeared..." Sorry Stace, not long been in the world of the living, only just read your text (and 'Allo 'Allo style "A-pol-oh-gees" for missing your call). There you go m'darlin ;)

FAO: _cj_
Cos was going to do me an angel eye conversion but he decided to stop making them so never had them in the end :( Gutted as I really wanted a set and still do TBH. Apparently it's not that difficult to put together and he did say that all the parts are easily available but I've never looked into it in that great a depth. If someone started making these for a sensible price I'd bite their arm off.

Now if the thought of you in that little number doesn't bring them flocking to the shoot Stace, some people really need their heads read...;)

a bit of 'light' reading
Sorry, but I've read this type of "revelation" a hundred times over. They shoe-horn "facts" to explain "prophesy" but of course only mention those that work in the constraints of their ideology: imagine the number of things they had to leave out due to not being "on message"; they expone supposedly revelatory quasi-religio/scientific theories seemingly without any order, dashing like an excited child between, Sumerians, Judeo-Christian theology, Geo-Physics, Astonomy, Hopi prophecy, Pyramids (gotta love 'em, they're always a mainstay) etc, etc, etc. As CJ says, there are far more plausible "end-game" theories out there.

Jaypsc ......rip
Only met up with him the other week to get a bumper. Really can't believe he's gone. Totally shocked. My thoughts are with his family. He was so young and seemed to have so much going for him. What a tragic loss :( Leigh

Smashing Pumpkins NEW album!!!
No James and no D'Arcy either. Chicago Tribune recently reported that the group's new bassist is Ginger Reyes (formerly of the Halo Friendlies) and Iha's replacement is Jeff Schroeder, guitarist for the rather obscure Southern California "noise-pop" band, Lassie Foundation. There's a few good, none radio rips out there in internet land. If you have any probs finding a good one let me know and I'll point you in the right direction ;) Not that that will be the end of it, my palms are itching to get hold of the CD, limited edition 7" or 12" plus one of the many promo's floating about...Did you know their studio was "burglarised" (don't you love American-isms?)? Photos for the album art were nicked by two fans who are now banged up in chokey. The pictures have been taken off most official sites but there were still a few with them on if you were quick enough: Have to say I'm not overly keen on the Grim Reaper/president, Paris Hilton, saluting kids and crucified devil/business-man shots as they're waaay too heavy handed but the remaining two are great. Enjoy ;)

Biffy Clyro...tune.
Will be getting it myself. Enjoying the fact that no bugger on here appears to have a clue who they are ;)

Biffy Clyro...tune.
"Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies". Listen to this now. And make sure it's with the full intro. And knock the speakers up to 11. Amazing tune. I have no idea why I'm giving out recommendations. The power of music. Go figure. ;)

Question about WinRAR/WinZip
Think I've just sorted it! Thanks for the info guys :)

Question about WinRAR/WinZip
Cheers for that, will have a go now! :D Any reduction in quality using this method though? Just want to check as they're for a hair/fashion mag and the guy contacted me today saying the deadline has been moved forward to tomorrow, hence much tearing of hair out to get them ready and it put the kybosh on my usual method of burning them to disc and posting!

Question about WinRAR/WinZip
Before, I've right clicked on the original file and gone to "Add to Archive", typed in the name I want for the .rar file, checked archive format as "RAR" and checked "Best" Compression method. If I click on Advanced, a window comes up that has a box marked "Compression" and when I check that a very big and scary window comes up with lots of options I haven't a clue about, lol! ;) I'm sending photos over so I'm thinking the "True Colour Compression" section is the most appropriate, but it's split into "Auto", "Force" or "Disable", then a dropdown box of Dictionary sizes...not sure what to do now TBH! Chris, cheers for that mate, think you might've hit the nail on the head there. Being Jpeg photographic images, maybe that's what's making it go t1ts up, if there's already compression being used? If so...bugger. :( BIGSSS: Like Chris says, most ISP's have a file send limitation. Plus, I don't know what storage limitations he has on his own account. If it's very limited, sending them all may be too much for his account and they'll just get sent straight back. Ideally wanted to compress them to make absolutely sure they got through.

Question about WinRAR/WinZip
Bit of a problem: urgently need to send several large files to someone (just over 50Mb all together), but the limit on my email account is 20Mb so was going to put them in a .rar file. However, probably because I'm a bit of a Luddite, although I've got them into a .rar file, they don't seem to have compressed at all, in fact they appear to be the same size as before. Same thing is happening when I use WinZip. Am I missing something obvious? Do I need to alter the ratio's or something? If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it! Cheers, Leigh.

The worst Ferrari F40 replica I have EVER seen.
It is a work of genius and we should hail him as our new ruler.

Son of Name That Film
Kind of! They try to take the miles off by jacking it up, putting it into reverse and flooring the accelerator...with 'ilarious consequences. :D

Son of Name That Film
Told you it was easy ;) :D Well done! I can't afford a virtual pint, so here's a virtual packet of peanuts. Salted of course :D One of my top 20 fave films...a modern classic so it 'tis, so it 'tis ;)

Son of Name That Film
It's late. I'm bored. Here's a cheap and nasty car-themed, one hit, Dave homage. Should be fairly easy! ;)

right guys im going midnight purple i think
Funnily enough, I've decided to go for purple as well. Not Midnight purple, but it is a limited edition Nissan colour. Personally, although I like Midnight purple, having seen your car in the flesh when the last owner had it in the bodyshop, I'd keep the existing blue. If you have to spray it, then just get it refreshed so to speak.

whats the best gauges
SPA gauges are, IMO, the best and what I'm going for. Proper race-spec gauges that are incredibly accurate. But they're definately not middle of the range! http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/index.htm

First three tracks off my album are finished.
Cheers for the support guys :) Just back from a photojob in Frankfurt so now getting back into music mode. About to wade through a mountain of spam to sort out the good emails! Mr Bunny: glad you liked it mate. Was kept awake over the weekend by how we handled the vocal at the end of both pre-chorus'. Rang the producer while in Frankfurt. Now mixed much better... ;) Will send the new versions to you and diddy_p when I get it. fairladyzgirl: yeah, I know you can sort your own site, but by hiring Nick I get his creativity as well, and I enjoy working with like-minded people as the design aspect goes further than just a Myspace page, we'll be looking into logo/branding, themes and leit motifs that will carry through the run of this project and beyond. Important stuff. Clarkey: always very interested in collaborating with different people in the arts so would be cool to hear from them/contact them. Hopefully also doing something with diddy_p's production company if things pan out well :) Leigh

Electro Acoustic Guitars?
Thanks for the input guys. Luckily one of my best mates has folks that run a really good music shop up in Scotland (where my SG came from!) so I'll definately be getting it from there. The good thing is they set-up everything before sending it on so hopefully that will be one less thing to worry about :) I'll be taking myself off to my local shop to try a few out beforehand to see what I take to which should help.

Electro Acoustic Guitars?
Right, decided it's about time to invest in a half decent electro acoustic guitar. I've previously been using an ancient Oscar Schmidt dreadnought (budget Washburn). Relatively speaking, my knowledge of electrics is ok but I'm not that up on what's good in electro-acoustics. I'm looking a 6 string and I "think" I'd be more comfortable with a traditional shaped body rather than a rounded "Ovation" style body (will be taking myself down my local music shop to check though as it's been a while since I've played one and I might like it now!). Got a budget of about £400. Anyone got any recommendations? Cheers, Leigh
