  1. Cheers guys. :) Just waiting for him to call me back then I'll relay the info. Just spoke to someone else and they also suggested checking the jumpers that govern which is master and which is slave are set up correctly.
  2. Just got off the phone to a friend of mine who runs a recording studio. He's trying to upgrade his studio computer to a dual processor jobbie and it's now having a fit. Wouldn't be a problem but he's got the Prince's Trust coming over to have a chat with him about funding and he'd ideally like to show his set-up running without a hitch. If anyone can help diagnose the problem it would be much appreciated (afraid I'm a bit of luddite so any questions you might have in reply I'd have to direct to him). Here's the thing: He's just put in an E6400 Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2Gb of DDR RAM on a ASROCK Conroe 945G-DVI motherboard. He's dual booting it, running two hard drives off the IDE cable. It can see a copy of Windows on both drives but when you select one (via any route, "safe mode" etc, etc) it goes back to the start (and continues to go round in a loop everytime you try). Any suggestion chaps? The poor guy is tearing is hair out :( Cheers.
  3. Bringing over just the kit would be a fair bit of hassle but, bizarrely, I should be able to bring over a Z32 with it already fitted if anyone wanted it that badly (maybe if they're thinking of upgrading/changing spec etc) as a friend of mine runs a tuning garage/bodyshop/importers/exporters over in Saitama and I bring over cars/engines/aftermarket bits through or from him.
  4. Nice one mate :D Will definately have to meet up! I'm going with my best mate (Gawd bless 'im, he knows how much of a fan I am and got the tickets without me knowing while I was away), for that day only but think we might be travelling over Saturday and staying in a hotel a) to avoid the traffic on the Sunday and b) to have a few beers out on the town Saturday night, so if you're around then you're more than welcome to join us :)
  5. Now have tickets to see them headlining at Reading, August 26th. :D Funny thing is, Reznors playing just before them on the bill and I'll be off to his rescheduled gig at the Birmingham Academy on Tuesday 28th.
  6. Dave and Stace: Back from the Emirates now. Will be in touch soon (think I'm fairly flexible on Sundays around that time but my brain is fried from the time difference so will check for sure when I'm Compos Mentis). Need to discuss exactly what's required for the shoot. Hope you've been playing nice with the guys on here Stace...;)
  7. Yup, I was there to :D Saw them twice before and it was good to see them enjoying themselves on stage again (mind you, the first time a guy had got crushed at the front a week before, and the second was after Jimmy and Johnny Melvoin (their tour keyboard player) got fVcked up in their hotel room, resulting in Johnny's death and Jimmy being ejected for his own good :( ). A lot of people are wondering if D'arcy and James will be coming back. Frankly, I don't think it's important if they do. It was always all about the relationship between Billy and Jimmy, (he's possibly one of the best drummers in the world today and helped form their distinctive sound). And with Melissa auf der Mar waiting in the wings (who is bloody fantastic live) they have all the ingredients they need to come back on top form :)
  8. I am so excited I might explode. Currently looking into the logistics of going over to the Greenfields festival in Interlaken (Pumpkins aside, the line up is first rate). I can honestly say they are my all-time favorite band and I admit to being a little obsessive (hunting down everything they've done...managed to get hold of a few very rare white label pressings of their very early work circa Honeyspider etc). Being a musician/guitarist/vocalist myself, Corgan is my guitar hero. The guys a genius.
  9. Evenin' miss ;) Nice to see you on here amongst the rabble (apologies for the state of the place. I would've swept and put everything away if I'd known you were coming... :wack: :D)
  10. If you want to see what a Z32 looks like thats been completely de-swaged take a look at my Journal here
  11. Funnily enough I was going to post something earlier but ran out of time as had to rush off with JD to finally pick his engine up from CTM in Dagenham :hyper: Yes, every member will get a selection of photos, both with or without our model. :) Just to put prices into perspective, a lot of event photographers I know charge around £10-15 per photo (printed while you wait) and £80-100 for a disc of images (they generally don't like you to have the hi-res images in digital format as that means you no longer need them for repeat prints! ;)). On this occasion, after the shoot, members will each be sent a CD by post containing a selection of hi-res photos for them to keep at no extra cost. Leigh.
  12. Could all members please refrain from any derogatory references to our model as not only is Stacy an outside party who is helping out on this by charging far less than her usual day rate, but also she is aware of this thread and is viewing it on a regular basis. Cheers, Leigh.
  13. Didn't have time to stop and take photos unfortunately but had some good news on the price, it's going to come to £1997.50 all in :D To those that don't like any of them, that's cool, thanks for your input anyway! :) In the flesh these wheels are a totally different ball-game though, possible some of the nicest alloys I've ever seen, and I've seen a few...;) But, you're going by the photos posted so I can see why you might come to that conclusion (LMAO@ "grim" :xxx:  ;) ). BTW, I didn't post for people to decide for me...screw that, I've designed and chosen everything for this car and the wheels will be no different...just wanted to show and tell ;) Going over again on Friday so hopefully will get chance to take some photos then. Mark: Yeah, the EVOX are nice wheels mate but after seeing Images selection and talking with Harry (the main guy who's been making alloys for over 30 years) I'd rather go with them TBH. He's even taking the time and the trouble to visit the car in the bodyshop to measure them up personally, so everything is absolutely spot on. Plus they're a local Midlands business which is a plus in my book and their aftercare service is superb. :)
  14. But unsuitable for my requirements...and they weighed a bloody ton! ;) Cheers for the input folks. The image posted of the fourth one down really doesn't do it justice (to be fair, all of them look stunning in the flesh)...popping over again today on my way to the bodyshop so will try to take some photos if possible. All in, they'll be about £2500 (19" rims with 10" wide fronts, 12" rears). Then there's the tyre bill on top of that. Ouch. :wack:
  15. Yep, the second from the bottom (the Trafficstar-alike) is my particular favorite. And as I'm going for the billet wheels they're sooooo much lighter :)
  16. Slightly delayed my order with Image just to make sure my alloys sold ok. Now they have I'm ready to go ahead, so just need to choose between my favorite four. See what you think. One of them looks almost identical to the Trafficstars I've just sold, but the good thing is I can now have them not just in a bigger width fitment but custom made so the centre is recessed as far back to the hub as possible to create a huge dish. (two below are the same but can be used with or without the locking plate which changes the look of them)
  17. "Hi kettle? Yeah, this is the pot, how's it going?...Right...right...cool. By the way...you're black" :p
  18. Oh yessssh. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=697702&postcount=16  :p
  19. Take it! (*thinks*...then rent your pad to me and the missus for 2 weeks in the summer while you come to check back on things in old Blighty! :D )
  20. Ahhh gosh, you're so purdy when you're all fired up Maaaark... :p :D On a more serious note, just to echo Duffs sentiments earlier, this thread has been a bloody good read, some great insights! And BTW, great news on the job offer mate, bet you're tempted as hell!
  21. Why the fVck she married rat-boy out of Sum 2+2=5 is beyond me  :nono:
  22. No worries mate, I'll shut up now. :D Mind you, before I do, I should say that I'd be able to sell them to you for a VERY good price as I now want them gone... ;)
  23. Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into my eyes, and you're under You don't want another bonnet, you want to buy my 19" alloys instead 3,2,1...you're back in the room... :D ;)
