Vert wins car show in the Philippines

Starting to like the Infinity G35 (Skyline) quite a bit now.
I was offered Top Secret's 2005 Auto Salon G35, direct from TS after they'd finished with it (as I know a guy who knows a guy that works there). Fantastic motor. Even had a full Roberuta/TS suspension set-up which I lust after. Trouble was I didn't have the £35,000 they were asking! Nice cars IMO.

Land Rover Series 3 advice needed.
It's a bit of swings and roundabouts situation. I did think they would've been ragged about but on the other hand repaired and serviced very well! Hmmm...cheers for the heads up anyway, will send Paul a PM :)

Land Rover Series 3 advice needed.
Seriously thinking about buying a series 3 109 (doesn't have to be though, also Defender 90's, 110's etc). Does anyone have any experience with buying ex-MOD vehicles through specialist dealers or auctions or perhaps could recommend anywhere in particular to start looking (just spent the last hour looking through various sites that deal with ex MOD equipment, not to mention Autotrader!). Ideally looking for something cheap as possible with tatty bodywork/interior but a sound, well kept engine. Cheers, Leigh.

Weekend Away - You decide - Vote
I can only speak for those I've been to, but in order of preference (and it's a tough call because I love them all) 1. Amsterdam (no, not for the drugs, it's an amazing city, absolutely beautiful. And the government subsidises artists so I'm totally going to live there one fine day ;))) 2. New York (a bit far, as Mr. David points out, but, by gad, what a city. Had some of the best times in my life there, partying till 4am in a club at the top of one of the twin towers *RIP*, smokin jazz at the Blue Note at 2am, Greenwich Village full stop, the Gugenheim, MOMO, walking the bridge into Brooklyn, the club scene, the list is endless) 3. Barcelona (amazing city. Fantastic cultural heritage, great food, friendly locals and lots of sun. Perfick.) 4. Paris (I've a soft spot for Paris. If you can muster up the courage to speaka da lingo, even haltingly, everyone becomes a lot more friendly! Been 11 times now and I always find something new to explore. Get yourself down the Latin Quarter, the food is great and there's more atmosphere...though at night it gets "interesting". Catching a show at the Moulin Rouge is worth doing if you're coupled up.) Also a fan of Berlin and Frankfurt (the latter is unusual I know but a real slice of old Germany in the old town, in the same city that has the most skyscrapers in Germany...was there a few months ago during the "Skyscraper Festival" which was a hoot...lots of apple beer :D). Like I say, it's a tough decision but I'd go for Amsterdam.

Cheers, appreciated. Where did you pick the o-rings up from? Did Cos supply them or did you get them yourself from Hella etc?

Fas, would you mind taking the time to post up a "How To" as, despite the difficulty involved, it's definately a mod I want to carry out. Cheers, Leigh.

What ever happened to Friday's
Lol! Ok, ok, I get the message! ;) Actually, if you decide to come over this way for a night on the lash as we've talked about Mr. Bunny (;)) you could always follow me back the next day to have a look at the V8 and the car in the flesh. JD will be over that day as well!

You can't see from that angle but on the other side there is a shut line between the arch on the wing and the arch as it extends onto the bumper (the same goes for the back bumper/rear arches). This will be in place on all four so that both the front and rear bumper can easily be removed. I can't stand kits that aren't practical in that way and I've never understood why people blend their front wings into the front bumper. Just seems daft to me as there WILL come a time when you need to take it off!

What ever happened to Friday's
TBH I've nearly set fire to the damn thing a hundred times (and now it's no longer at BW+ I can show the photos! :D) but you get to a point when you've gone so far there's absolutely no turning back...by hook or by crook No.6 it'll get finished! At least I now know the colour I'm painting it!

With modified 99 spec front end (I raised the upper edge of my 99 spec bumper air dam in real life, so it was in-line with the lights and de-swaged it.) Or how about the car itself...;) (this is a work in progress shot so please be kind! ;))

What ever happened to Friday's
In a word, yes. After he lost his main painter and other bodywork guy he became swamped with insurance work. My car kept being pushed to the back of the queue (understandably) but the result being it hadn't been touched in about 6 months. And with the engine work coming on apace it was turning into a poor situation all round. So I've got it back, I'm finishing the arches myself, then taking them to a pro for the final Grade A finish, then off to a fibreglass company to have masters made. I'll then be selling the kit which will consist of not only the four arches but, if everything comes together, possibly also a complete replacement rear bumper, front bumper, front splitter and rear diffuser (although the arches are designed in such a way that they can be used with any front or rear bumper with minimal work)

Still going ahead just been a bit snowed under with engine-work/music/life stuff recently. The bodyshop my car was at decided to not continue the work on my custom wide-arches which left me right in it so my priority also switched to finishing those off first (they're about 3/4's done). But back to the bumper: the photo above shows the first mould taken from the plug. I subsequently took another mould from that and the next job is to attach all the fixtures, tidy up the front air dam and cut holes for the fog lights, then after a sh1t load of smoothing it's ready for the final master mould to be taken (already got a company lined up to do that as it's not something I want to chance myself!).

Forum refresh
The look of the site is pretty much great as it is TBH :) This topic from back in 2005 has a few good ideas: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=50583&page=1&pp=15 Personally I'd only look at the following things: 1. Automatic sig size reduction if it's too big. 2. Increase the file size allowance for avatars a bit (the max 100x100 dimension is fine though 3. The rides section (;)). Hopefully in alphabetical order as well...;) 4. If you're creative finger really is itching, I stick by my suggestion in that old thread that a slick, professional looking intro page would make the site look more like a club rather than just another BB forum. You could even turn it into a competition for the members: design a front page and the submissions get posted up and voted on. Just an idea ;) Leigh

Hey mate, hope the trip to foreign climes went well (including the speech! ;)) If you know where is best to source the parts and the process involved I'd definately be interested to learn and have a crack at doing one for myself (yet another mad project to add to the list  ;)) Leigh

NIN or Star Trek? I'll have both please...
The greatest fan video ever. Period. The lyrics are a little rude so those of a nervous disposition may want to turn it up till their ears bleed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XwdkxPQCzY So wrong...and yet so right... :wack: :wack:
