Not going to be daft enough to take on another engine conversion myself matey, lol! Looking to source an engine then hand it over to someone else so they can have all the grief! :D ;)

Rover V8's...?
Just mulling over a few things for a possible project for next year (not a Z!). Does anyone know a good source for Rover V8's, either the old 3.5l, 3.9l (or revised 4l) or 4.6l engine's? Cheers, Leigh.

Youtube??
Alright mate, have a gander here: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ The Free You Tube to iPod converter (ignore the iPod bit, it will play on almost all computers with WMP etc) is easy to install and use...in fact I use it myself! :) HTH! Leigh

TheTwinZ New Concept Rear Bumper
Yep, the design of the strosek-a-like bumper lends itself to a central cutaway and diffuser. At the moment I'm debating whether to put a slight lip on the opening...leaning towards no! Would be all fairly simple to mould as well... ;)

TheTwinZ New Concept Rear Bumper
Funnily enough, I'm already making a bumper, using the original Strosek look as inspiration (no ugly bumper protrusion as found in the LWB OEM), which will look quite similar. It even has a matching rear diffuser.

New 4 Wheeled Edition
Lol! I still haven't forgiven him for getting rid of the RouteMaster buses. And he can shove 'is congestion charge right up 'is Quango... :wack: :D ;)

New 4 Wheeled Edition
Nice motors! Well, have yet to take her on a good stretch of road or up the motorway so will report back with my findings...though I'm not holding out for much! They are quite noisy but then that's not something that bothers me that much...saying that, I am going to soundproof the interior! ;)

New 4 Wheeled Edition
Got a new toy to play with :D Picked up my '86 Land Rover Defender 90 yesterday from a nice chap just down the road from me who's part or the owners club. Ex MOD, the chassis and bulkhead are rust free and she's had a lot of work done. The previous owner whipped out the tired old NA diesel engine and replaced it with a newer 2.5l Tdi version with a completely new crate block and internals. She's had an all new rear diff, bushes, DNB clutch, thrust bearings, steering box, shocks, springs and exhaust, brand new wheels and tyres and a replacement turbo that's only done 2,300 miles. Suffice to say, I'm well chuffed! Got a slight oil leak (which seems to be the norm, lol!) which I need to locate but apart from that, fingers crossed, everything seems to be spot on. I know it's not fast (and not everybody's cup of tea ;)) but I've wanted one of these for years so I'm pleased as punch to finally own one. Now all I need to do is resist the urge to put a V8 in it...! :D ;) Leigh.

Xbox 360 or PS3?
The 360 has lots more games but the PS3 is by far the better machine and, long term, will eclipse its rival. It all depends whether you're a pleasure delayer or seeking immediate satisfaction... :wack: :o

New song added to MySpace
BTW, just listened to it streamed off MySpaz and there were a couple of pops and clicks not present in the original. Would be interested to know if anyone else hears them...If so, will take it off and upload it again...

New song added to MySpace
Just back from the studio. Absolutely shattered but pleased as the first 5 songs songs have had their final tweaking ready to be played over the PA at a battle of the bands comp in Wolves this Friday night that my Producer is sponsoring (it's for 16-25 year olds which unfortunately rules me out from playing live!). Just uploaded a new track to my Kyoto Underground MySpace page, called "The Last Day", http://www.myspace.com/kyotounderground Have a listen if you get chance...oh, and yes...the intro really is THAT long ;) :)

VH45 Progress
Very observant Si, 10 out of 10. You win a ham sandwich (not as random as you might think as I'm currently eating...ahhhh...you've guessed it! ;)). Custom made parts have finally started arriving so we've been steaming ahead recently. Damn good progress since we only get chance to work on 'em about twice a month...three times if we're lucky! Photoshop CS2 question
I think I'm probably being dense but this is bugging me and not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have a frame by frame image of an explosion which I'm eventually putting together into an animated gif. However, each frame has a black line on the right hand side (equal in all frames) which I want to get rid of. I could do it by hand but there's 21 frames and it could be a bit tedious so...I've got them all together in one file as 21 layers, is there a way of selecting the black line and eliminating it from every frame with just a couple of clicks (or the inverse ie selecting the right sized area for each image and copying the lot of them to a new window?)? I've selected all the frames and tried various ways but can't seem to find the right one. It doesn't help that I'm tired and my brain is addled. If anyone can help it would be good! Cheers, Leigh.

"Kyoto Underground" Myspace Band Page now online
Chris: I know you've linked "No Surrender" so, not sure if you need to re-do it as I've just uploaded new versions of that and Everlasting (just a few tweaks....er, honest ;)). Plus, the answer to the black eye is on the site.... ;)

"Kyoto Underground" Myspace Band Page now online
I've been fiddling with stuff. If you're bored check out my page and let me know what you think. I've also taken some ego-tastic self portraits that are up in the gallery section. Feel free to mock and/or laugh in equal measure ;) BTW, it's lonely and cold in the chilly wilderness of MySpaz so if you're already on there, go on, help a poor soul out and be my friend. I'm housetrained. Honest. ;)

New garage advice!
Wow, cheers mate that sounds great, much appreciated! Wouldn't want to trouble you for too much but a few pointers would be perfect, like if there are pre-fab esque options available or if it would have to be custom built etc. Cheers! :)

New garage advice!
the situation: at the back of my parents garden is an area of land that currently contains my workshop, an open patch of ground used for parking and a very old single bay garage, also used for paking. Country wide came along and developed the land around then and now one poor sod has to look out onto the eyesore of our garage and compond every day. Although the guy is a total @rsehole, he's wealthy and has offered to pay for a completely new garage to house the cars as long as we agree to take down the existing one. There are other issues involved like a change of access rights so it's not as cut and dried as all that (and also why we've taken legal advice on the matter) BUT here's my question: He's offered them a two door, two bay garage. They've decided that they'd like a three bay garage that runs more or less the width of our property (which is 9m wide), that can fit a vehicle that is 2.6m high, that has no walls dividing the bays so the garage area is kept open plan, has skylights and that has just one garage door, almost as wide as the garage itself. Are there any builders or people in the trade that know if this kind of design is possible? Cheers, Leigh

Domain names. Advice on who to use!
Cheers for the help folks. Always found this stuff a bit on the confusing side and that's cleared things up :) Will report back with my success or failure...;) Leigh.

Domain names. Advice on who to use!
I might be wrong but I was under the impression that if you had a web page that used your quota of free space provided your ISP you had to have a fairly convoluted address. In my case it would be http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/directoryname , which isn't very professional looking really (they offer 50Mb of free space).

Domain names. Advice on who to use!
Just the name. Wanted to weigh up my options for hosting a little longer. Wasn't sure whether to grit my teeth and pay or go for one of the ad-free hosting sites. I've heard very good things about http://www.awardspace.com
