  1. As a photographer, my advice for what it's worth: get a good, professional portfolio together. Make a point of going to established model agencies rather than just internet based sites...there are a few scam agencies out there who are just after your money and have no intention of finding you work. If she's after promo work (and by going to a car site that's what I'm guessing she's after?) a good agency will get her job with the right clients. There should always be a model release form: read it, then read it again. If she's not clear on something, ask. If she's not comfortable with the form don't sign. This is a good site, get her to have a look: http://www.safemodelling.org.uk Just my 2p's woth, hope she does well. :)
  2. At the moment I'd be pleased if it moved let alone handled like that! :wack:
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWr6ec2zEyE&NR=1 :wack:
  4. Maaaaaaark: Colour: Nissan 350Z limited edition "Brickyard" a dark cherry red/purple. Which is what I'm spraying mine in (when I can afford it thanks to a certain bodyshop leaving me up the creek without a paddle...you know I'm seriously considering spraying it Matt Black as a stop gap...(mounted chalk on a string optional) :wack: ) First mod: Apexi intake, JD chip, hamster in a wheel, Sidemounts you know, the usual...you choose. Spoiler: the only decent wind tunnel tested spoilers available off the shelf are those by APR. Proper carbon fibre lightweight jobbies and fully adjustable. Buy one now. Oh, and get some bumper canards while you're at it. And be prepared to sell a kidney. And look daft. Which cars you can beat: oooh...BMW's , Lancia's, GTO's...oh, sorry, when you're driving...er...Fiat Panda's, Reliant Robin's, small girls on trikes, spacehoppers... :wack:
  5. Or... "It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the cr@pweasel." I'm tired and easily amused ;)
  6. More amusing if you are naughty... "Here's looking at c\/nt, kid" :wack: :D
  7. Bloody hell mate, that's fantastic news! My hearty congrats to you, your good lady and the bambino!     Leigh
  8. I am officially an idiot. At a glance i thought the writing on the photo said Maniac Performance! :slap: myself lol ;)
  9. Alright mate, sorry to be cheeky but do you have a website for those guys? Can't seem to find anything under maniac performance or maniacperformance. Bizarrely, those are the same alloys I looked at about 2 years ago. They're either the same or identical copies, first brought out in Australia...I was going to ship them over!
  10. Fair do's mate. Hope that's ok. Your payment only went in yesterday ;) cheers.
  11. Any more idea on what sort of price you're looking for Paul (and on a completely unrelated topic...I've just bought a Land Rover 90! 1986 with a 2.5l TD conversion! Heard you were into your Landies...;))
  12. Sorry, just re-read my post and it sounds uppity as hell...didn't mean it to matey! lol! :D
  13. Statement of fact regardless of my, or anyone else's, interest. Breaking a Z32 if more lucrative then selling it as a whole.
  14. Breaking her will probably get you more cash TBH. In fact I'd probably have the rollcage and alloys off you myself (depending on the width fitment of the alloys). My email is: friday76@lycos.com. I can't collect but can arrange a courier to pick them up from your address, pretty hassle free :) Cheers, Leigh.
  15. Felt I had to post to say a BIG public THANK YOU to mtl for sorting out my hosting! Totally off his own bat, he's set me up without a moments hesitation for absolutely nada. Mate, it's not much, but you're getting a mention in the album sleeve notes "Thank you" section! :D It's selfless acts like this that renews my ailing faith in humanity! Cheers fella, I owe you one :) Leigh.
  16. Paul, I am interested. How much roughly are you looking for it. PM me if you'd prefer. Cheers, Leigh.
  17. Ideally there would be a section for news and upcoming gigs that would need updating regularly, and I'd need to upload any new materia,l but aside from that, not a lot else would need altering...I think!? :) Think the AwardSpace hosting option is out as I've just found a huge list of file types that they don't allow! Deep breath: .htacl, .htaclu, .avi, .mov, .mp2, .mp3, .mpeg, .ram, .asf, .quota, .vbs, .shs, .scr, .exe, .cmd, .torrent, .wmv, .wma, .rm, .zip, .htacl, .htaclu, .avi, .mov, .mp2, .mp3, .mpeg, .ram, .asf, .quota, .vbs, .shs, .scr, .exe, .cmd, .torrent, .wmv, .wma, .rm, .zip !!
  18. Work from home...does that count? ;)
  19. After some advice if there are any web bods about? Ideally it would be good to use free hosting with my band website (at least until things get off the ground a little more). What I need though is a package that has plenty of bandwidth (is this right?) that will allow me to put up my tunes (5 at the moment, 10 in total) and enable them to be streamed via one of those add-on jukeboxes (I recently aquired a complete set of "Coffee Cup" web design software and, amongst other useful things for a web design beginner like me, there are plenty of jukebox skins to choose from in there thankfully  :)). I was looking at the free package from Award Space: http://www.awardspace.com/index.html Would this cope with my needs or are there others out there better suited to the job? Their "Ad-free" bit was definately an immediate draw! Cheers, Leigh.
  20. Just found a list of engine's that have "off the shelf" conversion kits for my 90 (ahhhh...off the shelf...I remember that...! ;)): MCK 3 Daihatsu 2.5, 2.8, 2.8T £245.00 MCK 7 Ford 2.5 D.I. £265.00 MCK 8 Ford 2.5 D.I. (with PAS) £280.00 MCK 13 Rover V8 £290.00 MCK 42 Nissan TD25/27 £265.00 MCK 43 Nissan TD25/27 (with PAS) £280.00 MCK 46 Isuzu 4JB1/4JG2 (2.8T, 3.1T) £300.00
  21. Lol! Bar-steward....  :slap:
  22. Definately wouldn't rule out the derv option mate. I believe some go for the Nissan 2.5td, 2.7td (or both in n/a guise), Madza sl35t or Isuzu? Will be looking into the Jap option before commiting! :) EDIT: Mean't to say that, luckily, as I mainly work from home and don't often travel long distances in the car, fuel economy is not a major issue :D
  23. Yeah, if I'm being honest I don't think I'd use the 3.5. If I'm going down the conversion route I want it to be a noticeable difference! Not looking for lightspeed (it's a heavy old Landy at the end of the day) but to be able to cruise at 75/80 (ish ;)) mph on the Motorway without it shaking itself to pieces would be ideal. Out of interest, what Yank V8's would you recommend for the job? (US lumps are definately not my area! ;)) John mate, that would be superb if you could find out if it's available! Cheers chap!
