  1. Lol! ;) Cheers Si but the trouble is the majority of the loops already in Reason are too dance/hip hop for what I need and like I say there's not much point programming in my own as the guy I'm seeing for the demo has got this (amongst other things!) http://www.toontrack.com/demos/chicken_low.mov and all the time remaining I need to concentrate on getting the guitar riffs and fills, the bass lines and my rough working plan of what synth lines I'm going for into a cohesive track on Cubase rather than as individual parts as they are at the moment (I guess it isn't the end of the world if I can't but I think it might speed things up). My little head might just explode. :D Z32KING: cheers for the link but for the little I need it for it's not worth forking out the cash TBH! Thanks though :)
  2. After years of fiddling around with guitar stuff I'm finally going into a studio in two weeks to start work on a 5 track demo. I'm currently pulling everything together very roughly using Cubase to give the engineer an idea of where I'm going. Up till now I've been using the sparse but functional drum loops that come with the Zoom G2.1u unit I've got. I also have a copy of Reason (cheers again Si if you're reading this...the CD's for you and Vini are finally being sent off tomorrow, apologies for the delay, been a bit under the weather recently and haven't been able to get out of the house to send them off :( ) so I could program what I need in but it seems a bit daft when I'll be doing it properly with the studio's set-up (and with someone who actually knows what they're doing!) and since I only need a rough working version, they don't need to be spot on so the time it would take getting my head round it could be used just getting the other parts down before I go. So...does anybody know of any sites that have free downloadable audio drum loops I could have a look at? Cheers, Leigh.
  3. I went for Trafficstar STM's. High quality 3 piece forged split rims. Also love BBS LM's, another high quality make and light as a feather to boot.
  4. Welcome to the club! I have a good friend over there who runs F-S-Autos in Saitama. Same guy that I purchased my (and several other ;)) VH45DE's from for my engine conversion. Going to have a proper look around the Falcon site later and join up if possible :)
  5. Just watched the Silver Surfer trailer. Frankly, the film could be the biggest pile of w/\nk this side of W/\nksville, Tenesse, and I still wouldn't care... Jessica Alba....come to poppa. :p :D
  6. Just watched Grindhouse. There appears to be a young lady with a gun attached to the stump of her amputated leg. You don't get many of those to the pound.
  7. Are you sure she's not just holding onto her dinner?
  8. Thought Pan's Labyrinth had been and gone? Saw a review in Bizarre a couple of months back but didn't manage to get out to see it as it sounded fantastic. Can't wait for Hot Fuzz and about to watch the Grindhouse and Silver Surfer preview! :D
  9. My opinion, if I had the time and the funds: Change the colour. That blue is terrible in that photo. Lose the spoiler. Never cared for the "pram handle" style. Change the lights. The old Fiat light conversion never looked great as the lights were too small. Change it for the larger round light conversion if you want it to look different.
  10. PMSL! [Churchill Dog]Ohhhh yesh.[/Churchill Dog] ;) :p
  11. Before I met my girlfriend you wouldn't believe some of the fun I've had from meeting girls off t'interweb. If you're willing to put the time in to go "fishing" and don't come across as a complete pr1ck (though being a cheeky b@stard always seemed to work for me) the dividends can be...suprising. And not a heffer among them...:D Ahhhh...halcyon days... :x: :D
  12. Shame he hasn't got more examples of his work up on the website. Would've been interested to see more as will be needing a complete custom retrim in a couple of months and I'd be happy to travel for good work.
  13. Very cool :D Also forgot to put in this one...it's in my current top two at the moment! http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch73W3punk-watches.html
  14. I LOVE retro/sci-fi/freaky watches! Check this site out: http://www.tokyoflash.com/ I can afford about three at the moment so now have got it down to this final selection: http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch142W4eleeno-orbit.html http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch70W3handless-watches.html http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch141W3EleeNo-watches.html http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch149W2Contemporary.html http://www.tokyoflash.com/viewwatch154W1series-elite.html
  15. Perfect if you've always fancied a portable pond... :wack: ;)
  16. Well I have TOR/Privoxy on here (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=80416&highlight=TOR)which seem to be pretty good. Could never get it to run with eDonkey though  Haven't tried to set it up with Shareaza yet...being a bit of a Luddite, if anyone has any pointers I'm all ears :D ;)
  17. Liking Shareaza a lot. Now using it for P2P and bittorrents :D Used to have WinMX but if all goes well I'll be sticking with the above for a bit :) Ta Rob!

Great news Si. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that all's well from now on mate :)
  19. Lol! :D ;) Luckily the VH is 100lb lighter than the VG, and we've junked the air con and ABS but unlike John's, mine, like yours, is waddling around with a big f*ck-off body-kit! Mind you, although the alloys are also on the heavy side, if the planned re-rim at Image is do-able, traction shouldn't be a problem as the rears will be 14" and the fronts 12"! Might have to limit the times I go down though...the thought of how much the tyres cost and the amount of rubber lost to the strip might give me a funny turn! :( :wack: ;)
  20. I believe J.D might be tempted to do the quarter in his stripped out, V8 shorty once finished which should be interesting. I'll be giving it a go myself for sh1ts and giggles but not expecting much with all the weight! :)
  21. Cheers for that Chris, was a great help. Definately looks like the guy for what I need doing :) Leigh.
  22. artztogo: Do you mind me asking what you asked to have done and what the quote came to? I will be needing a full retrim in May so glad you posted that website up as it's not too far away from me. Cheers, Leigh.
