Brake upgrade
Nice find Jeremy. These certainly look like they could turn out to be good...if my "man in Japan" can't turn up a decent 2nd hand kit, I may have found my new brakes... : http://www.d2racingsports.com.au/gpage.html http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?t=56726 Apparently the official UK importer of these is K-Sport...

Brake upgrade
Hmmmm...interesting. I've seen D2's suspension kits on a lot of drift/race cars recently but didn't realise they did brake upgrades. Would be interested in knowing more as the 356mm kit could be right up my street...

Might need some bigger brakes...
Cheers Mike :) Think I'll be seeing if my mate in Saitama can come up with a good price or get hold of anything else interesting brakes-wise (I might stand a good chance of picking up something 2nd hand as he's always breaking performance cars)

Window tinting question
It's long overdue mate! :) Away with Lucie in "gay" Paris on Saturday but back on Wednesday so will be able to corner her on dates she's free and then hopefully we can get it sorted! :D

Window tinting question
Hey Dan, this link may be of help: http://www.carkeys.co.uk/features/everything_else/2276.asp You can have them dark as you like (ie "limo" tints) on the rear screen and rear quarters :) Leigh

Sounds interesting, cheers...:) Do you mind me asking how much Mike?

Not before doing some more research I won't. Would like to look into Endless, Tarox, AP etc before I commit.

barry boys disgrace
Absolutely right. I've read a thread where he did exactly that: pulled someone over while on duty, taken pictures and posted them. In his position he needs to remain impartial. Conflict of interest anyone? Would make quite a good small story for the tabloids if they got hold of it...

Are you talking about your old set-up? I PM'd you about them a while back when you mentioned possibly selling them on but didn't get a reply so thought you'd found a way to get them to fit?

Z32 Engine into kit car can it be done
Getting there mate. Everything bar the bay and dash is long gone. Need another visit to remove said dash and deal with the remaining parts in the bay. "Might" be radically changing the rear, so she's not ready for paint just yet ;)

Will do. Yep, got absolutely loads but Steve has asked if I can hold fire from posting them anywhere for a bit. Bugger! :p I guess all I can say is that she's exceeded all my expectations, and then some. I'm hoping we're on the right track with this project as even JD, the king of function over form said he actually liked it! I nearly fell over... ;)

JD and I spent the day over at Steve's workshop (Bodywork Plus) yesterday to strip out my bay ready for the respray and V8 and also fit some TEIN HA's, new DBA brake discs (bought from Smithy ages ago) and Ferodo pads, basically a fair bit (John, I've never seen you move so fast mate! Oh, and got the message about your fun with the SL55...if the drive last night is anything to go by the poor bugger didn't stand a chance! :wack: :D) Decided to move the rear alloys onto the fronts and get a much deeper dish custom made for the old fronts to put back as the new rears (did that make sense? ;)). Should be looking at a 13 or 14" width fitment which will do the job nicely. Only thing is, as you can see from the pics, my Brembo's are starting to look a bit lost under the 19's now! Think I'm going to have to start putting money aside for a big brake conversion and sell on my R33 set-up. Any recommendations gratefully recieved :)

New look for the Z...
Very nice :) Personally if you're going for the smooth look (like I did) I'd remove the swage line across the door, lose the rear spoiler, rear wiper, aerial and the bumper reflector and remove and resite washer jets and the fuel filler cap (inside the boot was where I resited the filler). Worked for me and it gives a great look. :)

260Z's?
I dare you to ask that question on the Zclub site! If you do be prepared for reams of posts asking you to be more precise and outlining all the permutations! To be fair I'm only joking as they're right (back-pedalling! ;)) as it does depend what you want. You can pick up a knackered shell for very little and use it as a base for a resto project or buy mint and pay a lot. I haven't really answered the question there have I? ;)

260Z's?
Like them. But much prefer the 240...:)

You don't happen to still have the sellers details do you mate as I'm after a new suit! Friend of mine works for a big accountancy firm in London and every couple of months they have an agent for a tailors in Hong Kong come round and measure up anyone who wanted a new whistle. Apparently you could specify almost anything from the type of thread to the type of buttons and the quality was phenomenal. Was thinking of getting their address but it's always good to check out alternatives :)

Do you like sports jackets??
Dave, could you do me a favour? Would you mind asking him if he does any smaller sizes (as I'm a skinny fecker! :D). Would be quite partial to something Nismo or Jack Daniels flavoured...mmmmmm...Jack Daniels...:D ;)

Do you like sports jackets??
"Back of the net!" :D ;) But back to Dave's jackets...good find mate :)

Relocating battery (FAO Friday)
Depends what level you want to take it to...it's not as pricey as you might think, and I know a man who can get hold of good engines...;)

Attention Web Design guru's
I currently have a site being developed that's roughly 80% finished. Unfortunately due to personal reasons the friend of mine that's been doing it may have to leave it in an unfinished state. If there are any web design gurus out there that are "au fait" with Flash, I'd be grateful if you could PM or email me on friday76@lycos.com for more info. If it does work out that he can't go on with it, the current designer is completely happy to hand over all original files, templates etc to ensure a smooth transition. Cheers, Leigh.
