Ble litt paff når det var ett norsk svar! It's better than my ancient Greek but not as good as my Mesopotamian.... ... ... ... ... Nah...Google is my friend ;)

Detailing your car properly can turn into a nightmare if you go about it the wrong way. My advice to you is read up and then post here: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ These guys really know their stuff. HTH Leigh

Important - Please Read :(
Terrible news. Cars are our passion but you can sometimes forget how easily they can turn on you. That's the second fatal accident we've heard of in the last 7 days as a friend of ours, who was only 18, lost her life last week in a similar accident, again in the wet. Our thoughts go out to David's loved ones. Leigh & Lucie.

Have you tried Steve at Bodywork Plus Mark? I'm guessing he'd do it?

Relocating battery (FAO Friday)
Alright mate, happy to help :) Yup, if you're going to relocate the battery it makes sense to go for something better. I needed something that would keep the car juiced but also run my (modest) install without breaking a sweat. I originally looked at the Exide Maxima 900 but after talking with some of the guys on the TalkAudio site I went for a Deta Orbital deep cycle battery (as you might know, it has the same tech spec but is much cheaper ;)) I ordered mine from R. Thursby's http://www.auto-electricals.co.uk/acatalog/deep_cycle.html, who I highly recommend for their great customer service and prompt delivery! Using lengths of iron, myself and a mate made up a cage for it to sit in, in the boot and I ran heavy duty cable underneath. An emergency charge point is also a VERY good idea, particularly if, like me, the car is de-handled and de-locked ;) I made sure the external points were out of the way and not easily visible. The photo below shows the battery before the quick release clamps were fitted. Hope that's been a help chap! Oh...and I've tagged on a couple of shots of the VH45DE as well, as it was when it first arrived and after a fair bit of work :)

Would you walk on this?
I'd definately do that. Amazing construction  Reminds me (on a VERY lesser scale) of a club that used to be in Birmingham (before it became a Spearmint Rhino) that had a suspended glass floor very high up above the dance floor (used to be an old dance hall/cinema I believe so you can imagine the height). Very amusing watching drugged out clubbers go up there and bugging out completely. Lost it's effect after a few months though as it's clearness went with all the scratches.

Looking into sponsorship??
The original draft "should" be on the laptop which I've given to my folks but hopefully I'll be able to get it on Sunday/Monday mate, no probs :)

Looking into sponsorship??
No probs :) Been through it all myself and it can be a bit daunting getting everything together into a cohesive package at first but definately worth doing. At the moment I'm trying to get a certain high end alloy wheel manufacturer on board in Japan, thankfully I have a guy over there to act as my third party translator as my Japanese is limited to "yes", "no", "thank you", "1-2-3-4" and "sushi" ! :D ;)

Looking into sponsorship??
Sponsorship is definately the way forward on for a high end show/track/race car. My main sponsor is Bodywork Plus but I'm also sponsored by Nearfield Audio and F-S-Auto's in Japan (and will have press coverage in the tuning mags over there once the build is finished). My advice is to put a good press pack together: a letter outlining the current level of the car, what it will achieve and the places/shows/competitions/race days you hope to attend. If possible it would be a good idea to get some interest from magazines before you send it off so you can name drop in the pack. If it's possible to secure a feature on completion then all the better (difficult to get a definate on this one as they get a lot of people calling and emailing that never follow through hence they can be a little hesitant at first). Include a CD with as many images pertaining to the build as possible. Also mailshot as many companies as you can. The trick is to sell the aspect of the build that makes it stand out from all the other potential cars requesting sponsorship. If you can find that selling point and sell it well it helps a great deal. HTH Leigh

Interior almost finished.....
Great interior James, very in line with the rest of the car: immaculate, stylish and not OTT. I know you've been thinking of selling up for a while now but still sorry to hear this mate.

How to ruin a supercar.
Totally agree, but I guess my point is that modifying a Z and modifying a Carrera GT is, in my eyes anyway, a different issue. Unlike some, I wouldn't call the Z a supercar (blimey, that's torn it. I'm sure there's a multitude of other threads where that's discussed so please, not here! Lol! ;)). Hey, it's all subjective, there's no right or wrong but it's fun discussing it (tongue has been firmly lodged in cheek from the start ;)). To me, it looks like someone has ram raided Halfords.  (credit must go to Russ a mate on another site for that last gem of an insight :D).

But I'm not sure all the nice new people know the history behind this do they Kimmy? But, because I like to think the best of people, I'll take it in good humour...well done you then. No really, well done. Terribly good. :D

How to ruin a supercar.
Read my post #6. I'm modifying the hell out of my Zed! Lol! Painting a Carrera GT in bright orange, with "those" wheels is not about showing off? Er...right. :wack: Sure, modify...but modify with taste, with all cars, but particularly at that level if you're going to do it all.

How to ruin a supercar.
You're all mad. :wack: You're already driving one of the best supercars on the planet. Everyone knows what it is as soon as they see it. How insecure do you have to be to think, "Hey, I'm not already getting enough attention...let's f*ck with the body and paint it orange...yep, that should improve my c0ck size...." ;) I'm of the opinion that, at that level, it's all about subtlety when it comes to the exterior. The exception to this rule is Lamborghini's which should only be bought in yellow or orange and driven so you arrive sliding backwards at the party shouting where's the Krug!? :D

How to ruin a supercar.
But not often you see it done to a car costing over £300,000! Which I think is my point...why mess when they've already got it so right? Surely it's a "butter on bacon" scenario if you get my drift? EDIT: and before anyone brings it up, I'm well aware of the need (should that be urge?;)) to modify. I'm a victim as much as anyone else on here as my bank manager will testify to. But with something like the Carrera...well, to me it's a different bag of badgers :)

Both of you go to your rooms now. The orange centre's on the alloys fer crying out loud and that's just for starters!

How to ruin a supercar.
Take one Carrera GT, a couple of designers who have more than a whiff of Burberry about them then proceed to royally f*ck it up with unecessary modifications and a retina searing paint job. Sweet Jesus and All the Little Orphans....the humanity! :headvswal :wack: http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/techart-porsche-carrera-gt#more-3907

CGI stuff - stunning
I remain constantly amazed by the level of CGI these days. Google led me to this site: http://www.cgfocus.com/ after seeing the concept supercar work by Yann Goument (he's on there but see also his own site: http://www.yn2097.net/) . The gallery section of cgfocus is mind-blowing. Things have sure come a long way since TRON...check it out if you have time :)
