FAO MaaaaarkZX (photo heavy!)
Not 100% sure Rob TBH. I did ask at the time but Mark didn't mention a brand name, only that it was expensive! It's apparently not from the RAGE range as I mentioned that. Could be Alsa?

FAO MaaaaarkZX (photo heavy!)
Have to admit it, although I'm not usually a big fan of flip paint, this car was absolutely stunning in the flesh. Mark mentioned no-one had ever been able to capture the gold flip in photos and although I didn't have my full rig I think I must've got lucky as it seems to come through on a couple :)

FAO MaaaaarkZX (photo heavy!)
When we were at Leon's last time I took a few shots of t'other Marks car on the digi SLR. Was going to send them on to him but my phone had a terminal breakdown last week and I lost his email stored on there. You wouldn't happen to have it would ya? I'm not sure if he comes on here but if you're reading this Mark if you can post up your email or send it to friday76@lycos.com I can send the big versions of the one's below to you mate :)

new tattoo
Tattoos rock. Nothing better than a tattooed alt/rock chick. Check out the Suicide Girls website and you'll see my point...;) Mine below: Being of the arty farty persuasion I'm currently drawing up a big back piece to encircle it and designing another for my girl.

Yup. :D :D :p ;)

Custom front end work in progress
No. But seriously, the only reason being, Steve at Bodywork Plus doesn't want too much stuff getting out there just yet. There will be work in progress pics in the forthcoming Z Club magazine though :) (this club REALLY needs to get a magazine sorted!) Mind you, I'll get round to posting up the latest pics of my own custom bumper work soon.

Custom front end work in progress
Cheers Si! The last two photos of mine in this thread are pretty old now, being of the work in progress plug. I managed to finish it off and take a first mould which at the moment is sitting in the workshop waiting for me to finish it! It's looking pretty good and just needs some attention to the fixings to make sure it fits absolutely spot on (can't stand it when aftermarket kits don't fit properly. A little bodywork and tidying is forgivable but it's amazing the amount of stuff out there that looks like it was made by Stevie Wonder for a totally different car! ). The wings on my own car are considerably wider than stock at the moment! ;) I decided to make this bumper solely as an excercise to see if I could, not to go on my own car (which has a highly modified 99 spec front end). I may end up creating a seperate version just for myself with wider side extensions to match the huuuugely wide arches so I can swap them round but that's a long way off :)

bumper comparison
It's great but it's really only a slightly modified 99 spec :) They've added extensions to both corners which wouldn't be "that" big a DIY job really. And the 99 spec would be a better base as it's Polyurethane.

Are these wheels stunning or what?
They don't float my boat at all.

There's no "seems" about it...one of the writers has admitted they're making it up as they go along! :D

Z oil painting: sketch finished
Cheeky coont! :D I've used the old "tempera underpainting" technique before and I like the immediacy of being able to hit the acrylic base almost at once with oil glazes but with this, as I'm not going for a precise rendering, I'll probably start by blocking in the main underlying areas of colour before working in more detail with touches of opaque colour on top. Probably :D

Amazing art wort..........
Some great examples of modern Trompe l'oeil work there :) It's name is associated with the Baroque period but it dates back as far as Greek and Roman times. Whilst waiting for the television to be invented, filthy rich Renaissance chappies used to amuse themselves by having things like packs of cards painted on their tables then inviting their friends over for a game and guffawing with laughter as they clawed at the wood in disbelief. I guess you have to have a hobby :D

met grey wide bodied zeds...
One of my top 5 favorite Z32's that is. A simply stunning car. It really shows up the "Strosek" kit copies that are out there...they're simply not in the same league (IMHO o' course ;))

Z oil painting: sketch finished
A chap I know who has seven of my paintings in his house (all fairly large abstracts) keeps asking me when I plan on popping my clogs so he can flog them for a profit! Lol!...(the swine! :D) lets drift: it's getting there...;) ZX MAD: reproduce as in make a kit of it? Steve Millen might have a few things to say about that...;) But seriously, yeah sure no prob, got a few you might be interested in. PM me your email address and I'll send them over. BTW, before I forget, was going to call when you started trading again about the power cap ;)

bumper comparison
At the beginning....and carefully :D http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=72839 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=78537 I've now sorted out the first copy so it now fits perfectly. Now I need to start cutting out and forming the apertures for the fog lights/air ducts (they'll be able to be used for either the way I'm planning it)

Z oil painting: sketch finished
Lol! :D Also thinking I might do something more with these couple of quick prelim sketches I did ages ago of a Ferrari 330 P4: Never really got into painting or photographing cars so might be nice to see how they pan out. :)

Ah, go and paint your headlight black Pete! (and no I won't do it for you!) :p P.S. (Gaaarrrrr! ;) :D)

Z oil painting: sketch finished
Just completed my last commission and as I haven't got any more painting or photo jobs on for a bit I thought I'd do something I've been meaning to do for a while now. Tonight I finished sketching out a rendition of the Millen/O'Connell/Morton Z32. It's going to be an oil on canvas piece, 700mm x 500mm and so far I'm having fun doing it! :)
