  1. Paris is a great city to visit, i went a couple of years ago to take the other half up the eiffel tower ( no not a euphemism lol) but agree its very expensive. I think most European cities are to be fair, i went to Amsterdam in May and that was pricy too, beer 5.40euro a pint.
  2. All the best Andy, have a great day
  3. This is the part in total, but as said is likely to just need a wire soldering
  4. Happy Birthday Al, all the best, hope you have a nice day.
  5. It will be a wire needed resoldering from the switch, i think the switch was fitted under the light pod IIRC.
  6. Not on the wheel itself, the are a couple of options, the horn push cc unit, only for a TT, the buttons in the boss available from zcentre or relocate buttons yourself in the steering cowl.
  7. Give MJP a ring and he will supply you with the right plugs and filters, pads and discs on ebay are fine, pads anything from mintex, ferrodo, brembo, but there are plenty of threads here about pads.
  8. Sorted one of your pics mate, never apologize for too many pics, its what we love here.
  9. He doesnt half look like you Al, he looks a real happy chappy, no wonder you are proud.
  10. Its only the pre 91 N/A that had the 26mm front discs, after that they had the same as the TT 30mm, i wouldnt advise doing that, i would put your old discs and pads back on and get yourself some TT calipers, then replace the discs with the TT ones you have bought. You can probably get hold of some TT calipers for under a £100, but well worth it for future disc and pad purchase.
  11. You can probably delete that yourself Rob in your settings, but i have asked Lee to do it anyway. Cheers
  12. Nice one Lee, much easier to use and looks far better too, more piccies
  13. A nice update to the front, i like that alot.
  14. That would be tight driving normally in a zed, let alone drifting up there lol
  15. He did a lot on the island where he lived for many years, appearances and supporting local charities, sadly missed RIP
  16. A great idea Jeff and a sticky it will become. I for one have learnt so much from this forum and your goodself and as they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Without doubt good and accurate info is better coming from someone who deals with the zeds day in day out and the time you take out to give this info is very much appreciated and invaluable to the community.
  17. This generation seems to want to grow up too fast lol, my other halfs lad is 12, 13 in october, but ive got him going out to find odd jobs to do with his mate. That way he learns to earn his own money and feel he has done something worth while instead of stinking in his bedroom playing the PS3 all bloody day. Girls on the other hand, i dont have to tell you lol
  18. How much would a manual chip cost Jeff? Thats why my idle rises when i place into gear, my ECU although chipped is from my auto before the conversion.
  19. The Diesel is a belt, the petrol 1.5 is a chain
  20. Its an N16 then, not that it matters know lol
  21. When you say normal when warm do you mean sits at 750rpm when warm? Sounds like your base idle needs adjusting or your IACV needs cleaning. You will need to set your TPS before you do the idle.
  22. N15 model you either have a 1.4 or 1.6 according to autodata, no special tools required. You have 2 chains and need to align the copper links with the marks on the aux and cam sprockets.
  23. Im using 5mm spacers on my rear, with no extended studs. To get the studs out, use a hammer, hub still on the car, the studs have ribs at the base which lock themselves into the hub, so might not just slide out lol. Turn the hub so enough space behind for the stud to follow through.
  24. Might be your fuel pressure regulator or injectors. Mine is running lumpy on tickover at the moment and better when i floor it slightly, i know i have an issue on bank 4 and most likely an injector connector or failing injector. If anyone has datascan or consult in your area, would be able to see whats happening for sure.
  25. Your welcome Colin and congrats on buying Barry's old zed, youve got yourself a good car there and im sure you will have plenty of fun in her.
