what about the ptu?????

i did my dipped without having to take the lights out, however it is a fiddly job. you must make sure you get them seated right before you try to pull the metal clip back over. and dont force it otherwise it will probably break. and then your in the sh*t. i know because i did it. still need to get one of those bleedin clips but think they might be intgral to the light fitting, not sure. dont now about the main beamhavent had to do those before. someone on here will have an easy option i'm sure.

you might have got a good one, just have a check around the suspension, joints etc... not sure about the mot thing, id not be to happy if it were me, seeing as the guy is not returning your calls, i hope theres nothing else wrong with it except the mot expiry time, anyways enjoy the car, they are cracking motors when their right. I got mine for cheap actually less then you paid mines a 1990 tt, the engine is well sound on mine, the only thing that needed attention was the front suspension which is now almost completely repalced. I give you a month before you get the zed bug and start robbin childrens dinner money to put into upgrades. its an expensive habit. but i thin well worth it, having not had my zed that long and it being the first, i'm completely hooked, dont hardly see these on the road now, infact sinse i had mine havent seen one. well worth looking after these cars.

really like the zeds with the ass kit, seriously thinking about this. only trouble is cant really seem to find and wide bumpers that i like, well theres a few pics of cars ive seen on here with good ones, but the only one i can seem to find is the one of the zed centre, but thats know good for as the diameter of my zorsts will be two great. if anyones knows of somewhere to get these from or a website or anything that would be great, thanks.

what part of the suspension are you actually talking about???? you talking about rose jointed tension rods??? or something else.

id go for air lock as well, when you fill it up from empty its suprising how much more you have to put in over the next drives, if it aint that and you say its loosing a hell of alot of water then i would think you would be able to see something. does the car overheat now with the new rad on???

well that leads me to another question then, where can i get a nice brushed ally surround from, also would like the shifter surround and ash tray etc etc.....

hmmm, will it go in there will it, thats sounds good to me. oh does any one know what that damn button is that is next to the clock marked auto???. do i have to keep it coz i wanna change the surround to a brushed ally one but none that ive seen have the hole for this button what ever it is???

just wondering where you lot mounted your boost controller if you have one, going to be putting mine in soon, and dont know the best place to mount it, so as it doesnt look out of place.

so take nose panel of, remove all lights in bumpers, pretty much on screw every thing thats attached and hey presto, what about the wing is that a bolt on jobbie or are there any rivets in there??

need to replace my front bumper and off side wing, anyways got the parts sorted, just wanted to know if it is a reasonable job to do the work yourself?? will i need anything else apart from solely the bumper and wing, Cheers.

sorry to hijack, but when u fit these do you have to weld onto the hard pipes (if you have them)???

no knock sensor though, looked into getting the v500 or the aem still undecided

Had my zed now for about three months, all the suspension is now sorted( upper arms, lower arms, tension rods, shocks n springs) now i want to ncrease the power abit so have read that a chipand iehter boost jets or a boost contoller will be the best way. does any one know who can supply the chip for me as not sure where to start or what one i'll need. all advice will be appreciated cheers all.

£475 thats abit bloody steep, you could get a koyo rad and an uprated oil cooler for that. The rad is a pretty easy job tobe honest mate, have ago your self, you'll save a few quid

test again with a different gauge, if the compression really is that low, then then the rings are shot completely, the air will be blowing straight past. quite strange for the comp. to be down on all cylinders though, if that is the case then you'll most probably have to have the engine out.

if you cant get hold of the gaskets fella use abit of mastic, its only a paper gasket, ive whacked abit silicon sealant around the top of mine so didnt have to take the damn things out again, hence the sqeeking has stopped.

can be a real pig to get out, trust me. got a feeling you can get a specific tool for the job, suppose it depends how confident you are with the spanners and how much patients you have before the gas axe comes out.

put some clear side repeaters in didnt work at first but turns out just the bulb not making proper contact, anyways now me alarm wont work, really quite annoying. The two wires on the left hand side one is black and the other green n balck, it appears the green and black is live, the roght hand side is one balck and one green n yellow, which i would presume was an earth, but it has to be connected to the bulb, for the bulb to function, does this wire earth anywhere else, coz i pulled it up abit through the hole and now alarm is fooked, sorry if this sounds dumb. but not very good at electrics yet. any ideas advice greatfully welcomed, oh the alarm is an avital of some kind, dont know how old it is.
