  1. have you diconnected a boost pipe by accident??? maybe you removed something to get to the matrix and left it loose??????
  2. probably the best thing you can do as already said is run conzult to see whats going on, a bigger turbo generally will cause more lag than stock, but if everything is set up correctly then it should be that much of a problem. Unless its an oversized turbo for the car then no matter what you do the lag will be there. I think most people recommend a .64 ar impellor as to keep spool up time acceptable. Not to sure if the blow in the exhaust would have an adverse effect on the boost, theres only one way to find out i suppose, fix the blow and see if its any different. Are you running a boost controller???? could be that is not functioning properly causing erratic boost condition. tbh i think run the conzult and go from there.
  3. sure your fuel gauge isnt at fault???, mines not particularly accurate. also can you actually smell fuel, if its leaking chances are you will smell it. have you checked the 02 sensors are fucntioning as they should??
  4. does it not say its a universal adaptor, ifyou go with it double check that the adaptor you get is actually gonna be right for the z32. Like the fella's above say, in all honesty it is really better to pay the extra to get a good part that you know for a fact will be right. For me generally i try to steer clear from fleabay unless they are oem parts from another zed. Get the good part for piece of mind really, thats my opinion anyway. all the best.
  5. no, that is an aftermarket setup. the oem ones are flat panel found in the stock airbox, which has probably been removed since you now have the cone type filters. It is usual that aftermarket filters can be washed and re-oiled, but sometimes this is not needed, depening on type. Are they a stainless steel mesh, or like the paper/filter type ???
  6. dont you worry about my son, we'll be challenging for summit next time round, probably 6th place. but the young lads are getting better n better.
  7. this thread is pure genius, " friends re-ignited" class. Proud to be an infidel.
  8. oh about the cornish thing, thats quite true as it goes, they have their own bleeding flag and everything, black with a white cross. Who wants to be cornish anyway. its all abit hairy palms, and hunch backs down there. ( allegedly )
  9. absolutely, down here you'll be lucky to get a raised eyebrow for giving way to anyone, i'd rather get the two fingers than just pure ignorance.
  10. liverpool n man u, there so 2006, get behind a proper up and coming team like arsenal, who needs thierry henry anyway.
  11. wait till you get a little more bhp
  12. no dont break it fella, you know it makes sense
  13. in my opinion its best to get one that will bolt through the bottom and splash guard, but different people different things. looks alright i spose, but to be honest your probably better of saving a few more pennies and get an apexi one round about £70 i think, or go for my choice which is the blitz sus, at a mear £135.
  14. not sure about having the stock wheels on not alot of room there for bigger discs, its not too much of a problem to use the stock calipers just need the proper brackets. if your going up in disc size then you may well need a 17 inch wheel. Couldnt really tell you how much of a bigger disc youd get in there with the stock wheels on. wouldnt of thought it would be to great.
  15. as above mate, its really only a performance air filter, to allow more air. wouldnt go for a cheapo off fleabay mind. Go for an apexi or a blitz sus.
  16. watched sharapova vs williams today, what is it with the sreaming after every shot, had to turn it off after a while.
  17. just make sure you get the right fitment type for the lights, think the j spec dipped beam, ie the circular jobbies are a h3 fitment, but dont quote me.
  18. its good practise to change both, but if you cant get rid of the code then more likely the sensor itself. If youve taken the plug of with the battery still connected then you'll get the auxy fan running all the time when you start up. if so have you tried resetting the ecu???? if so then you'll have to change the unit, they dont cost much to replace about 12 quid I think.
  19. oh if you meant when checking the level whilst refilling, leave her on idle dont take her of the stands and drive round, to warm up.
  20. id take it for a quick spin, not out for a thrash. then let it idle for 5 mins. switch her off then get her up on the stands.
  21. as above, get onto trading standards, and also read up on the sale of goods act, especially your statutary rights. He doesnt have a leg to stand on. seems to me that he has knowingly sold you abit of a dog. and putting 20/50 oil in the car ??????????. if its smoking that bad and its pretty constant then there probably something quite severe wrong, ie, rings tubs tec..... if you keep the car, then it will cost you a hell of alot more to put that right trust me, take it back and get your cash back. DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. but you must act on it know dont just wait for the guy to get back to you.
  22. as far as i know there isnt a haynes manual for the 300zx z32. you'll have to get a manufacturers service repair manual, and they are not cheap. there is an online manual you can look at. Drain is on the box ist self. warm the car up first and get the front up in the air. u will need to use a dexron III type fluid i think. And there is quite alot of it an all. around 8 litres in total but your never get that out. As far as refiling is concerned think you have to refill through the dipstick guide which will be time consuming. not sure if you can use some sort of pump to get it in through the sump drain. Once got some in fire the car up and get it warm shouldnt take long then take the reading on the hot part of the dipstick, refill as necessary, then you'll have to keep checking it when its cold, first thing in the morning, check it then as well and top up as required.
  23. vinyl all the way, proper way to mix. forget your laptops and cd decks, get top of the line vinyl decks. Oh and vinyl played properly on a good system is far better than cd, cds just more convenient, cheating.
  24. as above, dont have a stag night, the night before, thats asking for trouble. try and get atleast abit of kip, long old day is a wedding. Oh and make sure u remember where your getting hitched!!!!!
  25. what sort of colour is the smoke???? and is it all the time ???
