  1. think you may have a little issue with offset, 35-42mm on 300zx, but as far as i know the stock offset on a 350z is supposed to be 30mm, I may be wrong. think the pcd and the bore are ok, if you get the actual model of whel, you can check it online, think antera's are 309s or 369s, something like that anyway
  2. that is so bad, those are the worst bitch tits ive ever seen
  3. cant see that ever happening myself to be honest, how many cars in england are over 10 years old???? what exactly happens to them when they get banned. thats a whole lot of cars to scrap. then cars that were lets say 8 yrs old would be worth peanuts, and an 8 yr old motor is a fairly modern vehicle. its just another case of overpayed do gooders point scoring for elections. it really is quite pathetic if you ask me, do the ppl who come up with this nonsense not realise this is the exact sort of thing that gets the hard working tax payer up in arms, and rightly so
  4. just read that report, damning me thinks.
  5. ok its all become clear, thanks for that,
  6. forgive my cpu ignorance, but what the hell does that lot mean??
  7. absolutely, i havent had a problem with a scoobie yet, although i havent had any runins with a brand new sti yet, i think some more mods first. although the local citroen saxo brigade seem to think that they have the beatings of me, lol. how i chuckled after letting them smoke there tyres for abit then deciding to make them look even more silly than usuall
  8. we also suffer from grip problems, get one with splippers if you are going to try, but i suspect big money and tears
  9. you will have to have an engine rebulid if you bhp gets towards the 400 mark, which it more than likely will, there no point trying to run high bhp with srock pistons, rods etc, as they end up in pieces, you could try going up to around 380 bhp then totally srtipping the car of all excess weight, then try it
  10. what shipping company was that quote with dude, I'm a marine engineer, it will be cheaper going row row, but like you said someone has to drive it off, but its not as if they can go on a beano in your motor for the day, it will be confined to the port. you could try a general cargo ship, rather than a sole container ship, andrew wier do general cargo, they might be quite cheap, and open to negotiation.
  11. on what basis would the ban be?????
  12. Yeah seen em on fleabay but i'm a little reluctant to buy from there, had anyone got these from there before???
  13. do these work on the same premise as a variable vane pump, with like a conical casing. if so. then problem areas will definitely be vane tips and springs. we use these onboard ships as central priming systems for centifugel pumps. and they get excessive wear on the vane tips which is essentially the sealing medium to increase the pressure
  14. hello all, Can someone advise the best place to get a brake caliper recon kit, got a feeling the pistons are seizing, as brake performance is down and getting worse, discs and pads look ok. dont really wanna pay out big money for a total brake upgrade just yet. cheers
  15. I dont mean to sound harsh, but taking two years to find a z without a spoiler????? surely it cant be that much of a hardship to take the damn thing off, and hey presto, no spoiler. amazing.
  16. you can get a full set of 24 lifters from import parts pro for around $350,
  17. most probable a lifter problem, i had the same on my z. got some "hydraulic lifter treatment" put half the bottle in the old engine oil, ran for a few days then flushed the engine and changed oil put abit more in with the new oil, and that seems to have done the trick. If that fails then you'll need to investigate further
  18. do new shocks come with bump stops??
  19. cheers fella, i'm ok with the spanners so think i'll give it ago. are there any special tools I need, spring tensioner etc...
  20. have one off if and spin the alternator, you'll know if its gone alright.
  21. defo drive belt mate, check the tension on them if all ok,
  22. i take it, it will be a good idea to poly bush the lower arms when i have them out
  23. think thats what i'll do when i change em, i,ll weld another piece of plate in to give some extra strength also i'll think i'll change to rose jointed rods. This is getting expensive now, but the time ive done that i'll pretty much of changed the whole suspension, but oh well. thats old motors for you i suppose
  24. the offset for the wheels is e+35/45 Dont really know exactly what that means but can someone tell me if they are ok or not??
  25. just sent you me number, will wait to here from you, cheers
