OMG-how would you feel??
Yeah, it was the Evo Extreme RS450, mega rare and as you say only 4 ever made. If anyone has an account on that site please pass our thoughts on from all at the 300zx.co.uk club. Whether it's a clio or an RS450, something that you can call your pride and joy getting damaged is heart breaking enough, but having all three of your pride and joys burnt to a cinder with no chance of restoration is just unimagineable, God knows how he must be feeling. :(

Very proud Dad:D

Love affair with the Zed - Over
Running mine in at the moment so not giving it large, but a full tank has done me for 180 miles. I think I'll be down at 100miles a tank once it's all run in.

Been a bit busy today....
Looking good mate, hats off to ya. Are you going to do an under plenumn by pass ?. If so you could modify your water lines that you have sprayed to take out some of the slack that you don't need. I have done this on mine but didn't take out the excess piping.

GetGreddy - autometer gauges
Ive had the oil sender hole drilled and retapped so the sender unit fits in there ok now, but when I offer it up to the car, it's too thick for the oil filter to screw on. :(. I'll take it to an engineering shop with an oil filter and get it fabricated.

painting rocker covers.
You can use normal paint from halfrauds if you want, they don't get anywhere near hot enough to bubble, fade or matt the paint. Unless of course you have an engine fire in which case you may need a little more than high temp paint :).

Tapping noise @1800-2000 RPM
You do have oil in your engine right :)

Rising Fuel Costs!
I do use public transport, Maybe we should get a discount on fuel if we show a valid monthly or yearly oyster card :)

AA breakdown repair cover
I just joined the AA two days ago, paying a lot less as I didn't want home start (Will fix it myself) or stay mobile (have another car), think mine was £12 a month or something.

apexi filter fitted
Nice oil cooler bracket :). Did you not have an internal splash guard for the induction ?. It's not really needed with a standard air box but I would reccomend it with an induction.

leaking subframe bush
Yup collars would work in that case then until you are ready. I'm not sure if subframe bush leak is MOT failure though, you'll have to check that. It's usually just gators and the like, but you never know.

Speed at 4500rpm
My mum doesn't drive anymore but still has a licence, she's 65. How believable do you think it would be if I got clocked doing 140 mph and said she was driving LMAO !!!

leaking subframe bush
collars can usually help, but on the subframe I would suggest replacement. There's a lot of weight that sits on that baby !

Oil around alternator area?!
Check the PAS resoviour and see if it's full. The sensor for the PAS goes into the cap. so you could try cleaning that and topping it up to get rid of the light. Then you just need to fix that leak. If it's not PAS fluid it could be one of your cam seals leaking, have a look to see if there is any fluid behind the timing belt covers

Car Wont Start. Fuel Pump Not Working....
does your alarm have a fuel cut of as well as an imobaliser. I know my concept 600 not only disarms the ignition, it also cuts off the fuel.

What Temp does your car run at ?
Guess what ???. I earthed out the water adapter to the plenum, checked for a good earth with the multi meter and ran the car for 30 mins. Gauge didn't go above 175 F (even in traffic) which is just under 80 C :). Thanks guys for the input. I know I kinda answered the question myself but if it wasn't for all the replies, I would have never have go there (well until I looked under the bonnet again anyway :) )

wear on inside edges of front tyres
Had the same on mine, I'm hoping the adjustable upper link arms and a session at the tracking and camber shop will sort it.

Insurance renual time :(
sky insurance all the way mate, knocked the socks off all of the quotes I got from other specialists.

What Temp does your car run at ?
I just typed a really long essay about how the whole thing is brass and it doesn't look insulated in any way, then I though hmm maybe i need to earth the pipe rather than the sensor. Then, I started thinking about taking a picture of it tonight to show you what I mean. It was only at that point where I visulised myself taking a picture of it that I could see (in my mind) there's a fooking earthing screw on the adapter LMAO !!!!. I'll wire that up tonight and earth it to the plenum and report back ;). Thanks guys.
