The inside edges of my front tyres are wearing faster than the rest of them.

Any idea what could cause it? I've got 18" wheels and standard suspension.

I've got some KYB shocks with lower springs I was going to get fitted soon possibly with a camber correction kit too.

Any idea if tyres worn like this are dangerous?

Cheers folks!

if they are still within the wearbands then they should be ok to drive on but i'd get that correction kit fit asap

They will become dangerous and are more than likely illegal.

The problem seems to be that over the years the old suspension sags and as there is no way of correcting the camber this is what happens.

You either need to put the KYB shocks and springs on and the camber kit or just the camber kit.

Better still would be a new set of adjustable upper arms.

There have been lots of posts on this subject so if you do a search I am sure you will find plenty of answers.

Good luck with it.

Almost certainly caused by camber, unless you have too much toe out.

See DTA re: Powertrix GB for Camber adjustment kits. VERY good value for the kit. All my new stuff is going on this weekend. Camber is way out! Can't wait to get it corrected and some bolt on spacers. Stance makes or breaks a car.

Had the same on mine, I'm hoping the adjustable upper link arms and a session at the tracking and camber shop will sort it.

Go to a garage with high tech wheel alignment, had same probs, costs a fair bit but well worth the money with cost of tyres

Problem withthat is they can't adjust the camber beacause it isn't adjustable unless you fit a shim kit or adjustable upper arms.

I know, I had the same problem when I bought mine.

It's the bushes in that standard arm that perish meaning there's no support and the wheels start to gain more and more negative camber. It least I think that's what happens. Not had mine off yet! LOL

More likely the springs sagging - as the car gets lower the neg camber increases...
