Who'd be interested in a Surrey Rolling Road dyno day?
Mark, I should be run in by that time, I only have 450 miles to go, then a quick oil change and test, so I'll say yes as it's over a month away and I will pay you my deposit via paypal (£15.60 ;) ). If something goes tits up is it just the deposite I will loose or do I still need to give you the full payment if I can't make it ?

please someone help me!
Hi mainiac, Although other may not believe you I do. I think your problem may not be as serious as you think. I think it all points to a cooling issue, over time the turbo's getting hot and cooling again may have caused a little stiffness in the compressor wheel. What you need to do to loosen it up again is just oil the turbo. Now you problem you have is that you can't easily get to the turbo's. But that's ok, the turbo's are water cooled anyway which means that the water from your rad will pass through them. In this case you can add a little oil to your radiator and it will lubricate them as it cools them. We should have you backup to 40 psi in no time. disclaimer: don't try this at home

Kids and the Zed
She's happy enough in the front seat, I think once I've run the car in and can go over 3k rpm, she'll not be allowed in the Z too much.

Kids and the Zed
I think I'll keep the wife in the back then of use the Beema instead :). Really don't want to throw more money at the Zed, spent far too much already. Thanks for the advice though.

Thanks guys, I only have the lap belts in the back and not 3 pointers. Does the Maxi still fit with just a lap belt ?

Electric fan that replaces viscous
Just on a side note my fan came with an electric switch witch you can fit so it comes on as a certain temp and also has a manual override. However it looks like something from an old boiler and has a copper rod coming from it which the sensor is mounted in and I assume a thermostat. You can turn the knob on top to make it come on at lower or higher temps. I'm thinking I will maybe just buy another switch, a more upto date one so to speak.

Kids and the Zed
Took my daughter and wife out to run some more miles in today. Daughter is still in the baby carrier but will probably be upgrading to a car seat in the next few months. The baby seat fitted nicely in the front seat with enough room behind for my wife to sit. I'm wondering, those of you who put your kid(s) in the Zed. Do you put them in the back seat and what seat have you got that works with lap belts and the akward shape of the bucket seats in the back ?.

Electric fan that replaces viscous
That would be ace mate. I think I'm missing the temp sensor that it must use. Any pics or info would be great.

Problems so far LMAO !!! Problem one Took it out of vallet mode and entered the black jack code. Not accepted, tried the factory code, not accepted. Car stuck in black jack mode with the alarm going off and no power to the ignition. Window stuck open. Called the company that fitted it for me 4 years ago, they could send someone out but at a cost. Guy came out, diagnosed the problem, replaced the switch that you enter the code on, all working again. £80 spent. Problem two took the car out for a drive, keeping the revs below 3000 but above 1000. Drives lovely, engine purrs, feels like it really wants to move. Turbo's kicking in really early at about 2500 rpm. Compared to my stock which was just above 3000. Parked it up for a couple of hours. Thought i'd go out again in it. Turned the key, engine started then died. Tried again Engine started then died. Just doesn't seem to be holding the revs to keep it running. I've not touched anything since I parked it up till I started it again. Any ideas ?. I'm thinking fuel related but I'm starting to remember what a pain in the arse these cars can be at times.

now sorted. It was the switch that has gone, new switch installed after calling ou tthe electrician to diagnos the problem. £80 spent just to get the car working again :(. I was so much better off when the 300zx was off the road lol.

Clifford Concept 600 remote start
Well I didn't get to try this this morning. I have another bigger problem. Got it insured and taxed and has mot so I thought I would take it out of a test drive. I took the car out of vallet mode. Got in started her up, wound down the window, entered my black jack code. Didn't seem to acept it. Tried the factory set code. Again no good. So I've had to disconnect the battery now as I can't get the car to come out of black jack mode without the correct code. Major problem is that I can't do the window up. HELP !!!!
