  1. Need some advice... I have just switched to sky from NTL / Virgin. They supply thier own router, so I've disconnected my Belkin and used that instead. The set up I used to have is as follows: NTL/Virgin box to Belkin router. Router to Xbox. Router to Upstairs HUB HUB to PC1 HUB to PC2 HUB to Laptop I want to have the same set up but I'm having the following problems: I can connect to the net if I go from router directly to the PC, then I have to change the connection so I go from Router to HUB then HUB to PC's all PC's then connect. However these are the problems: 1) When I shut down the PC's and start them up again, they no longer connect to the internet without me plugged the router directly to the PC again. 2) I can't get X-box to connect to the internet (Tried pluggin it in the 2nd yello slot and the blue but nothing). Any Idea or anyone have Sky plus working for more than one PC ?
  2. Oooh a challenger on Forza :). I'll add you in either tonight or tomorrow. I'm pinnacle1974, however I've just switched to sky broadband but having a few networking issues at the moment as the initial connection wants to speak to the PC only and doesn't like talking to my hub. I'll sort it tonight hopefully.
  3. I would suggest taking off the induction completely and blowing it through with an air gun or a hair dryer. Make sure it's nice and clean. Then let it dry out for some time before replacing it. i.e. leave it next to a rad for 24 hours (not on the rad jsut next to it). Also take the MAF out and as suggested above give the connectors a good clean and check the MAF sensor (inside the pipe), give that a blow manually (don't use a hair dryer or blow jet on this as it's quite sensitive.) You should have two splash guards. One that sites under the engine (this is split into 4 sections IIRC, front engine middle back engine and two sides. You should then have another smaller guard that sits between your oil cooler and your induction, this is usually bolted on to the holes under the headlight pannel. Have you got a modified nose pannel, if so it may be worth you getting some slam pannels installed to minimise the chance of moisture getting down there. Most problems with the MAF / Induction getting damp / wet come from the front bumper, so it's worth having a look at this, you need the air going into the RAD's but try and keep it away from the induction.
  4. Is it possible to start the engine without the underdrive pulley or any of the belts in place ?. The cambelt is obviously in place but with no underdrive pulley to power the PAS, water pump fan and AC, Can you start the engine briefly without any problems even if you don't connect the pulley itself let alone the belts ?
  5. Not managed to get a great deal done this week as I've been back at work and also had the wifes party on Sat night so spend most of sunday in bed with a hangover, dam Raki !! Did get some tempory lighting in place, so I can render the walls after dark when I get home from work. Ingore the pipwork in the far corner, that's on the list of things to do :). Then managed to rebuild the walls at the front ready for the two windows and a set of 1800 french doors. Worked on the Steel end detail, Ridged 4 x 2 cut into sections slightly larger than the internals of the RSJ, then hammered in securely, 100mm x 10mm then attached down the sides, then 6mm ply cut to shape and secured into place to give the bottom end a nice finish. And got the facials and guttering done. Still need to modify the down pipe once I've rendered the front. But have to wait for the windows to be fitted first. Next jobs, fit the windows once they turn up. Sort the pipework, chanel out where the light switch, plug sockets etc are going, then start the rendering.
  6. Yeah, but the guy who will be on the 2nd episode (PE instructor) managed to net £100k because like the lottery it rolls over to the next episode if no one wins it the week before. They don't make it easy to win either. If you saw last nights one it was a 6'4" policeman weighing about 16 stone against the boxer Khan. The first game was seeing how long you can hang from a chin up bar LMAO !!!. The copper gave in after 30 seconds so Khan decided to push out a bunch of chin ups :D.
  7. It's definately the induction which I presume you have. I had the same problem on mine. everytime it got a bit wet I got to about 3 - 4 k rpm and it just seemed to die without stalling. Replace the apexi filtre and the MAF and was good as gold. Can you tell us a little more about the set up ?. Single/dual pop induction, what filter you using etc. Splash guard in place for the induction and then another under the engine ? What vents / inlets do you have on the car that may allow moisture into the air flow.
  8. Anyone started watching this ? The first program was on last night ITV 18:45. My mate Mick Mason from work has just come back from filming in Germany for the episode on the 18th May. He was up against some guy from Emmerdale who does cycle runs for charity. Long story short he lost the first game cycling, the 2nd he lost by 10's second whihc was go karting. Then he won the next 4 in a row to make him the winner. He netted £50,000 for his troubles. Not bad at all, an expenses paid trip for 3 days to germany, get yourself on TV looking pretty good and come home with 50G to spend. Apparently another mate of mine Lee Males, was in the crowd chatting up the guy from emmerdales girlfriend. Trying to make it as obvious as possible to try and put the other guy off. :D gotta laugh.
  9. Try Sure for men, it's pretty good ;), if that don't work the doctor may be able to provide some medication. :D I smoke, I quit 5 years ago and started up again a year ago. Don;t know why I started again, but don't regret it. I have cut down since my daughter was born and don't smoke anywhere near her or in the house.
  10. White looks much better.
  11. I have a retrim set in blue for a SWB somewhere in the shed.
  12. I think SE is the old version, the newer (and still freeware) is Ad-aware 2007.
  13. Start up takes ages as it's probably starting loads of stuff you don't need. When you start the PC, before running any apps.. Start..run..msconfig..goto startup tab. Untick anything you don't wat to start up (windows will load up anything that is essential on a reboot). Also check the services tab, sort by status and see what is running.
  14. No probs with mine. Also done by PPS so I would imagine being the same spoiler as Mac's and being done at the same place by the same bloke it probably used the same stuff to fit it !.
  15. Funny you should say that. Saw this thread and after reading the first post, I thought it's the PTU connected to the cam belt covers.

  17. There's a black one that goes to the TPS, then there's a balck/red one that runs along the side of the plemumn (one each side) this is the connectors for stock/safety boost. If you are running a boost controller these should be unplugged.
  18. Do you mean rad cap or rad plug (i.e. bleed screw) ? If it's a bleed screw. I've no idea where to get one but would be very interested in one myself if anyone finds one.
  19. Do you have a quad light conversion on the back ?
  20. Must be a silver thing !!!. 3 years ago I got exactly the same damage to my wing and bumper when a transit van ran over my car while I was parked.
  21. Strong Carpet adhisive will do the trick. Get the spray on stuff rather than the paste so prevent lumps and give an even surface.
  22. What sort of damage do you have ?. Got any pics ?.
