It's just a shame you can't see their faces when you pull away from them as they still have their pedal on the floor wondering what the hell just happened. :D I have a stillen clutch on mine and the response is unreal. Paul, I forgot to tell you my garage has agreed to recieve my order of two new front tyres from "mytyres". So I'll be well up for the drive to kent on Sunday. Well surprisingly, I didn't thrash the pants off it as much as I would have liked to for 2 reasons. 1) When I put my foot down in 2nd gear I almost cacked myself :p. 2) I still need 2 new front tyres and with the wind and rain yesterday I though I would drive it a little safer (not granny style but just a little less powering our of the corners). For £70 of super unleaded (about a tank and a third) I got 600 kilometers / 375 miles.

Thanks Paul, I'll buy some shares in Shell and then start buying my petrol there, I'm sure I'll make some money back in the long run.

Hi All, Can you point me in the right direction to get my clocks changed. Also how much does this cost?. I find myself dividing by 8 and times'n by 5 everytime I see a darn speed limit sign. I don't want a cheep sticker as I think it looks a little tacky and I don't want a digital dash as I have heard that they are nothing but trouble. Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance Stuart

While we are on the subject of running costs and fuel. Can you guys tells me what fuel you use. I heard somwhere that you should only use super unleaded in a Zed. Is this true or can we use normal unleaded. What difference does it make ?. I'm currently using Super unleaded and haven't used normal unleaded yet just to be on the safe side.

I've had mine since Saturday. I've only just got out of the car. Spent £70 on petrol this weekend just driving having fun. The best part was when a young spotty kid pulled up next to me at the lights in an RS turbo escort and started reving his engine. What could I do with 315BHP under the bonnet and a full tank of gas........... Eat my Dust Boy racer :D

I was also looking for a month or so before I found one. I could not find an UK manual TT's within 40 miles so in the end I decided to go for a Grey Manual TT. I wanted to pay up to £8k for an L or M but went to see a G reg manual TT and was smitten. Need's 2 front tyres, tax and willl need a 65k service (done 69k) but apart from that is was very tidy and mechanically sound. also had a few extras like K&N air, Mongoose cat and back exhaust and a Turbo timer (which is a pain in the butt, and I have been tempted to turn it off a few times already). While I mention it can someone tell me how many minutes a Turbo Timer shoul dbe set to. Also what are the benifits of these devices ?. Stuart

Thanks guys for your help. I took a drove up to my parents today and decided to take apit stop in Brentwood. At least I know where Mike is based now. I was expecting a showroom type shop for seom strange reason, but I guess that would come with a big price tag for all the work done on our cars. I spoke to my mrs about Sunday and she would love to come along, so I will take a day off in the week and sort some tyres out. Can anyone tell me where I can get a couple of new S-02's or Falken's. I don't know much about tyres but I would like to pay under £200 for 2 good front tyres. I need them before Saturday or I would give mike a call. Thanks Stuart

Hi Paul, I can't seem to post on that thread, so I'll reply here. The ride to Kent would be something I'm interested in, as long as I can get my new front tyres on before next weekend I'll be up for it. Can I ask, is it a lads day out or are you all taking your other halves ?

Excellent, thanks Paul. Looks like you guys are all going to save me a fortune. I was prepared to spend a lot of money on maintainance as I've always wanted a 300zx. It seems now that It's not going to cost me as much as I thought in the first place.

Hi Andy, I'm actualy in Chadwell Heath, I've only seen 300zx in this area. Dark Grey with huge single exhaust and a burgundy with tinted windows and rather large boot spoiler. Any of them you ? I really appreciate the offer to help. I didn't think a newbie to Z's would get this kind of attention. I'm really greatful. I love to get my hands dirty, but I have to admit I would know where to start. I looked under the bonnet and scared the pants off myself :D . I will also ty out MJP I believe they are in brentwood. Hi Stuart, Thaks very mch for your help. Personally I think £70 for 2 new tyres is an excellent price. I had the same size tyre on my M5 and I was paying minimum of £130 per tyre. I am very happy now with my new Z ;) . I currently have almost new 245/45 ZR16 Falken FK45's on the back and almost bald 225/50 ZR16 Potenza S-02's on the front. :o With regards to the service etc. I have heard than I can get the parts from Courtesy Nissan at a very good price. Would you reccomend anyone else ?. Also where can I get Jeff's contact information ?. Thanks again. Stuart

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. Well the car has done 69k and going by the service history it hasn;t had a cam belt or water pump change yet. The pulgs have been changed, it has new clutch. So I guess I need the big 65k service with some new pads at the front. Also I don't suppose you could tell me the best place to get tyres. I'm really sorry for all the questions but I'm sure you all know the best and cheapest places. Thanks

I got a good price on it but I need a few things like brake pads, service etc. Can someon tell me the best place to get parts and servicing in the essex area. I live in Romford and want only the best for my new car (without mega £££). Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Stuart
