  1. Jeez those boots are bad !! in my experience a lot of cars with hicas joints worn scrub the tyres on the inside like that on the rear,in can be be lowering also though.
  2. fingers crossed its not drastic for you mate.Even if the compression figures come back good it can still have a piston problem,Its usually the 2nd ring or oil scraper ring/land that fails.Generally if the stick comes out its a pressure problem, its worth checking the pcv,s rattle to indicate they are free and moving inside.Id also make sure the dipstick is a good fit in the tube too just to be sure.Is it puffing it out bad on over run?
  3. Martin, tell them your gonna make a recording studio and that your very much into Gabba techno, let em see the bass bins arrive and he will agree to a gym in no time. Its time to get a dog and buy some golf clubs mate, your swing any good? its time to start sending the dogs lawn sausages over the fence
  4. Gonna make this one me finks.
  5. How much did that zed set u back then ? i love that colour and the 400zx on the back. You must have felt the dogs driving that then back in the day.really impressive bud.
  6. I fail to see what anyone could learn about cars/values from someone whos own fell to pieces around his ears then got parted out for what very little was worth anything.Facts ? whos exactly? and as for market forces, when did they start teaching economics on the railways?
  7. What an intellectual answer, jesus.Ignoring you obviously as driving those trains has given you tunnel vision but ANYONE else able to see the bigger picture will see its relavance.
  8. To all those who claim a recession is the reason zeds are so worthless,America is in the same boat as us so imho this proves that its utter shite, this car has bids on it too http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-Nissan-300ZX-Twin-Turbo-Excellent-Condition-/250766344574?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a62d6c17e thats about 10 k so far and its stock. And if you take a look on the US and Aussie forums youll see they command far higher prices there than here.
  9. Regardless of that years ago the meets were well attended and videos of huge convoys of zeds were posted, not seen those in years now and its a real shame.Even in summer no real local meets take place that were a patch on ones say 3 years ago.If the recession is an excuse then in my opinion thats ridiculous? who would own a 3 litre car then avoid meets because of fuel costs,if fuel costs were a problem on any vehicle i owned id sell it simple as.Its usually work that stops me but even so most meets dont summount to much anyway and that kinda puts me off.
  10. Mines grey,on deep dish rims, low and runnin 436bhp at the wheels so cheers fella.Your comments are welcome :gunsmilie:
  11. Does anyone know what went wrong to meets? it seems that the owners have changed in the last few years and meets are not a priorty like when i joined in 2005? the site was full of pics and vids then from regions meets but now its empty? Have we lost the club and now have a forum?
  12. Can the two of us spread the word and eradicate the cheap car myth and banish chav zed ownership forever? i hope so :gunsmilie:
  13. Dave, your a true zedder with the cars interests at heart, take my hat off to you  You have the right attitude my friend.
  14. I wish it was fella, mine is grey though and imho is nice but as good as my avatar pic Lol.
  15. Once again just keep talking the prices down lads . With those attitudes are cars are worth nothing, slating tidy zeds with high prices does nothing but de value the cars which at the moment are worth feck all as it is.
  16. Ive seen this numerous times and im afraid its chopping time as thats the only way some hard pipe kits will fit. Most are copies of each other it seems as why would you make something that doesnt fit? i always use wd40 to fit the silicone pipes, they slip on easy and can be moved into the right position.
  17. Imho a pump in most cases is a waste of money, they are virtually bomb proof.A good rebuild with the journals polished on the crank and a set of shells and the oil pressure will be off the richter scale mate.
  18. Had a sneaky drive earlier on a trading estate and i have to say it feels savage.Even though the tubs are big once it comes on cam all hell breaks loose.should do 500 at the wheels no sweat by the feel of it.Its the most aggressive zed ive ever driven so far
  19. left outdoors with the inlets exposed, mmmm put me down for that one
  20. 8x1.25 metric bolt.8.8 grade iirc,usually 25mm long.hth
  21. Your right mate,it is possible to bridge the socket to put the car into diagnostic mode.
  22. The car is an n,a too im sure,i used to pass a white one in st werburghs when i worked in town.It was hanging, proper shed ex.It was a landlords and it was always parked outside his pub.
  23. It was the second owner who promised to turn the business around mate, seems him and his brother were very much alike.Born with no scruples the pair of them.
  24. Im not normally one for posts like this but after the last few days i cant contain my rant any longer,Ive taken an engine in from a guy who recently parted with 5k to a now defunct Wiltshire based zed specialist. He waited 8 months to get it back and it lasted 700 miles before it developed a rattle. The problem was soon apparent after i got the sump off,no 3 main bearing has seized and welded itself to the crankshaft,so the block and crank is scrap as its ground the cradle and block away.Told the guy i could rebuild the internals into a good s,hand block to save him money.Well stripped most of it tonight and what i found boiled my piss.Re used inlet and plenum gaskets pooped up with silicone, pcv pipes swapped with chopped up rubber hose, asbestos headgaskets when he paid for cometics, and the best is no 3 bore was looking badly scored after so say doing 700miles.After taking the piston out i was astounded.Half the scraper ring is missing and by the looks of the damage to the forged piston it got forced up the side and sat there grinding the bore away. The pistons are battered and tired and have covered way more miles going by the blow by marks up the sides. So for his 5k the guy has a pair of big tubs, some nismo 555 injectors and what looks to be a 60k service kit, bargain eh.He read me a list of parts it had on his invoice,ARP head bolts, cometic gaskets, eagle rods etc.Its all utter ******x.I feel really sorry for the bloke as i now have to tell him he needs to part with 2k to fix it.Hes tried to contact the wan*er that sold him the pile of shit but guess what?? yeh you guessed it,no longer recognised.if someone had done that to me he wouldnt be recognised thats for sure,I hope his fuc*in wheels fall off the robbing c**t.I just pray we have seen the last of fly by night chancers like these who yank peoples pants down to get on in life
  25. My old man bought a zed off Mark Luney,Box was faulty and he knew it but didnt mention it.We only noticed driving it back to the ferry port at Belfast. When he picked us up he drove it like a vicar cus as soon as you nailed it the box lost drive. That supra looks a great car and sideways buff is a beilliant drifter so should be a winning combination.
