  1. All pointing towards head gasket failure im afraid.it wont develop an air lock out of the blue so its not good news bud.
  2. Id add manifolds, portwork, lightened flywheel too onto your list.you should see 500 easy with that lot, some cams would give you some more on top if you wanted.
  3. Once again were back to the unless youve drove one dont comment,do you really think truckers sit there for a laugh? a good driver would anticipate the hazard of the truck overtaking and allow plenty of room, thats what seperates a proffessional driver from a license holder. When your sat behind a lorry in another and your limiter is set at 1 mph faster than his, plus you have the slipstream caused by the leading truck it can be annoying having to hold back on the throttle so you try to overtake then when you get out round the other it can take ages its one of those things, trucks are allowed in the middle lane if you check the highway code but usually its clogged with knob heads in cars who wont pull over.Id bet you wouldnt make 5 miles through the average town center in an 8 wheeler let alone an artic !!
  4. what you need to bare in mind is the police and vosa work to a different standards so if your car passes its mot you can still be pulled over and prosecuted for something if the copper feels its not roadworthy. This is not hearsay or pub talk. Its fact chaps. When i took my testers course this is explained in great detail.
  5. Ive had my class one for 16 years now and i hate driving trucks now,so many inconsiderate car drivers carving you up and pulling in front of you then braking causing you to shit your pants as 44 tonnes dosent stop on a six pence,or the classic is when a doris in her little car tries to go around the roundabout at the same time as you ffs when you have a 43 ft trailer on,i say folks unless youve drove an artic its hard to comprehend how dodgy it is moving one through traffic these days.IMHO all car drivers should be made more aware of hgv,s and to see what damage they do to cars when they hit them,im not joking when i say you would not even feel a car if it got caught by your trailer when its loaded, feckin scarey things.
  6. She will soon nause everyone off in his company. The other lad Chris should have won imho.im shocked he chose her.really shocked if im honest. She had that cockie smirk all the time which boiled my p*ss.
  7. The pcv valve ball bearing should rattle,if its silent when shook then its no good.If the car still smokes then id say it was time to get your wallet out.You done many miles since you changed them? allow 500 to clear the oil residue out.Generally any idling smoke is Turbo related im afraid though. So brace yerself.
  8. I think i may know what you were on about possibly  the temp sensor for the gauge mmmmm.im glad you cleared that up
  9. The usual cause of this is the terminal on the sensor comes loose on its rivet or it cracks, seen it many times.
  10. A pint ?,c mon Al,you only do multiples Lol :gunsmilie:
  11. Unless those pics in the link are generic they are not t28 tubs.A real t28 has a 5 bolt exit exhaust housing and needs different downpipes to fit.Id be very dubious of those also. The tub looks like a stock unit.
  12. That second pic looks like MK2 escort bumpers am i right?
  13. Is your car Jap or UK,Both can suffer but Uks tend to more, the fuel tanks rust causing fuel leaks, just a thought.
  14. If you unplug an 02 sensor the default setting for the ecu will be to run that bank rich for engine safety so it will use more fuel.why do you think its using to much fuel though?
  15. Im pretty sure Zedworld do these second hand and repaired ones with new pipe swaged on.
  16. Those look like Nitrous pipes going to the boost hoses. It can be an engine killer if not used sensibly. It may explain your oil smell.
  17. That seller needs to have a word with himself in the corner, jeez he has some issues.Id love to take that croc of shit to some chav tastic car meet to take the piss .Take a look at the welds in the rear :cursing:
  18. So you like to gargle "salty liquids" then Bri :kiss:
  19. Id lay off that corsydol, nasty stuff, makes yer teeth go brown,it warns of it on the bottle if you read the small print,my teeth look rank after using it for a few months.
  20. i didnt say the power was bullshit did i ?? im saying that any car that has a tub capable of running 28psi wont be doing it on stock injectors unless they have a huge flow rate to begin with,STI,s run 555 iirc and i have never heard of anyone running pressures that high on those flow rates, thats 740cc + material.
  21. Thats prolly pub talk im afraid, any car that has a tub that can run 22psi and is safe at 28psi would need a bit more than a fuel pressure increase on stock injectors. An upgraded fpr is pointless in most cases, its seen as the must have performance fuel item when more often than not its not needed, its prolly does more harm than good in most cases, uprated fuel pressure can slow injector opening due to the pressure exerted on the pintle.
  22. Jeez whats up with it bud,i get pissed off after a couple of months if i sorn it.
  23. Checked to see what the air fuel ratio is under max boost,if the tuner advises its lean youll know a higher flow rate of injector will be needed.
  24. If your running stock or mildly upgraded turbos stock injectors will be fine for that boost pressure. If your worried get the car dyno ran and checked.
  25. Ok mate, whenever your ready,Some port work, pair of big tubs and manifolds, some high flow injectors, jobs a good un.
