  1. Are you asking if you have a fault does the warning light come on??.
  2. 5k will cover an engine rebuild to better than standard spec easy without cutting any corners.it all depends how far you want to go.youll want decent forged pistons for peace of mind which can be bought for less than a set of nissan oversize ones. The rest of the performance parts is where your 5k vanishes very quickly.injectors, tubs, down pipes etc.
  3. by casing i mean the wall thickness of the gear box casting surrounding the gear train.thats why the tt box is heavier.
  4. Hi Mate,if it is piston/ring or land failure its rebuild time buddy :smash: .the perfect time to tell the missus oh well its gone bang now so i may as well get started. :D
  5. worse case is your crank case is pressurising caused by piston,ring/land failure.your oil loss was probaly out of the dipstick tube.or you may have just not put the dipstick back in properly.on the n/s exhaust camshaft rocker at the rear is a breather elbow which can blow out under boost and spray oil over the battery.a stuck pcv valve can also cause oil to blow out the dipstick.fingers crossed its the latter.
  6. As a whistle .And that aint starch on your tops either.
  7. I regularly service your missus "washing machine" if thats what you want to call it. ;)
  8. No Daves right the box ratios are the same but the speed sensor is different. The only physical difference is the TT casing is thicker to handle more torque.
  9. Cheers for that.have you got a pic showing the wiring back to the ecu?.I spent hours last night sifting through the aus forum, printed off the diagram only to find the a4 sheets of paper didnt pair up.
  10. Am i right in saying that the middle wire is a shielding wire and has no connection to the ecu.The wires back to the ecu on my car have continuity but i reckon it may have a short causing the problem.
  11. Id love to see what kind of twat drives a motor that looks like that.who are these muppets  .
  12. Must be all the fast spins your missus uses, machine has shook itself to bits.
  13. Is anybody here able to give me the ecu pin numbers for the black wires that run to the o2 sensors.i believe 29 and 55 are the red and black wire nos for left and right hand.My cars not reading the r/h sensor at all.the sensors fine as its new.im gonna need a loom eventually but if i can get round it for now by running some new wires in that would be great as the baffles are dropping in the exhaust and id rather put the money towards that, then do the dreaded loom change later.
  14. Ah i see the old advance the ignition for a few more ponies trick ;)
  15. just a thought but if your ignition timing is too far advanced the car will start very rapidly when cranked.worth checking.
  16. My only internal mods are forged pistons and ive mildly ported and polished the lower inlet tracts. The stock crank and rods will handle the upgrade but the rest of the engine has to be in good condition to handle more power,so id advise that the engine was reconditioned first.Z1 state that with camshafts and exhaust manifolds it is possible.Z1 sell the jwt cams on an exchange basis.Be warned that if you really want 450rwhp youre going to need traction control.mines a handful with 360rwhp.in the wet the car will be virtually undriveable. Its not all about hp though as the torque is very important.Smithys car makes a whopping 475lbft making the acceleration unbelievable i should imagine.
  17. Ive got the gt525s and reckon my tubs are nearly maxed out at the 440fwhp im making.should be seeing John Dixon any day now for a few tweaks to see if any more is available. Can let you know if you like what the tubs are capable of.Smithy is right in what he says that 5 bolt exit turbos will produce more power and torque.
  18. Get some seedy cards printed offering depraved acts with the persons number on and pop a few in your towns red light district phone boxes. :smash:
  19. Id be anti social if id drove 6oo miles to see Marcus. :smash:
  20. My car runs an xtd paddle clutch from the states.Im putting 440bhp through it and its never let me down and ive done 600miles on it.cost me £160 to my front door!!.

Im going to try and pop up after youve had the carvery.not a big fan of sunday roasts, give me a curry and im happy.you all going for a drive after?.
  23. As a V6 is two three cylinder engines in effect the camshafts can settle off lobe quite easily avoiding any valve damage. So its worth trying a new cambelt on the engine as you may have got lucky :) .
  24. Took mine out during the break when corrie was on once  .
