  8. the valves are waste gate solenoids.they are used by the ecu to regulate boost if the engine isnt up to temp or detonation is detected.you can bin them but youll loose these functions.

  11. Si,give me some notice and pop round and have a drive of the laguna 1.9dci.great on fuel,reliable,6spd box and handles like its on rails. The 406 was pugs biggest flop and residual values prove this. The xantias are ok but that will also be worth peanuts when you come to sell it.And if you get a petrol 406 or xantia it will depreciate faster than shit off a greased shovel.
  12. I know of a s2 black j spec lwb tt for sale here in bristol.greg knows the car as well.it belongs to Sasha.its a manual with dragger exhaust, advan wheels, fmic, apexi safc, hks f con ecu and some under bonnet bling.she wants good money for it but a nail it aint.if your interested i can give you her number.
  13. Hi Chris,Ive always run 235s on the front with my 8.5j rim.you running 245s??
  14. sounds like clutch master cylinder fault.
  15. I bought a set of these and reckon they are the dogs for fifty sheets.
  16. too all those worried about any alignment issues of which ive never experienced in the five times ive removed a zed engine, paint tippex around the edge of the x member fixing nut.when the nut is removed it will leave a white ring behind making relocation much easier.
  17. I was after a simalar turbo spec.I opted for z1 motorsports gt525s.they have the spool characteristics of t25s and are capable of 100rwhp more.they dont require any exhaust mods to fit them either.and at $1900 which worked out about £1200 at the front door youll have money left over spend elsewhere.
  18. Any of the known brands like instant gasket,or hylamor will do the job a treat mate.I learned of this years ago from a stainless steel exhaust builder.used it ever since even on mild steel systems and never had a problem.
  19. automotive silicone sealant is the best when sealing exhaust flanges.paste can blow out over time whereas the silicone stays flexible.

Works for me everytime, even on truck clutch packs.cheap new oil can filled with fluid, and a piece of w/screen washer pipe.its easier to force the air up into the master than than force air down from it.
  21. Nice looking car bud.Am i assuming your friend told you it was 420-450bhp.With the mods it has youll be lucky to have 360-380bhp.You can buy retrim kits from nippon autos or the zcenter.or you might get a good price from a trimmer.
  22. yes its the same starter for both models.
  23. Having bought quite a few items fom the states id say go for it.customs cant examine every package and apply import duty.some you win some you dont.Even when i have paid import its still cheaper.Youll find most us companies are only to happy to ship here.Z1 are very reasonable.I find it best to phone from my mobile. It really isnt as dear as youd imagine. For a pair of turbos i paid £90 shipping and £130 duty and i still saved £400 on what i was quoted here. The yanks do like to give good service to their customers and you will get a "Have a nice day" after you place an order.
  24. if the pic is of the actual item then its wrong.the fronts are cassette bearings.hth.
  25. Got a koyo rad which im fitting to my car and ive put it in the engine bay for a little taster of what its gonna look like(my engines out for rebuilding).and ive noticed the top brackets dont match the profile of the core.is there a common mod to be made to enable them to be used.my second question is do maplins sell 28pin eprom sockets and what is the going rate for getting one soldered in?.
