I believe you can get one in if its a personal import.i discussed this with a car importer ive been doing some engine work for and he reckons a loophole in the system allows you to bring over cars with no model report.and im sure the r34 skyline has no model report but ive seen quite a few at japfest.im 99.9% sure it can be done.recently a Top Secret 1000bhp r34 gtr was up for sale on flea bay and the seller said he could get the car in but it was gonna cost a substantial amount.

you can do it that way but i prefer to do it the right way.

scrawni is right you should ALWAYS adjust the drum clearance first as by just tightening the adjuster at the lever you can pull the shoes on and wear them out.this is a golden rule when adjusting any handbrake on any car.

could be a piston gone and the compression is so low the unburnt fuel is causing the cat overheat light to illuminate.being a v6 one cylinder not firing isnt as pronounced as a 4 cylinder.try a compression test on the rear cylinders as they are the first to go.or it could be a misfire caused by plug,coil pack and the grating is unrelated.

pretty sure they are called speed fasteners.

Hi mate good luck with the rebuild.you dont need to fit graded bearings from nissan if you dont want to.speak to a machine shop and they will tell you it isnt necessary.the grades differ by microns which is a crazy tolerance to work with.any good aftermarket shells will be fine such as payen or clevite.they come in standard or +10 etc.many jap engines use this system but it is classic jap over engineering. ;)

you must have money to burn then.already GOT them on my car and they do fit without modification.ive sold two sets myself and never had any complaints.i gave a set to a well known 300 specialists and he was impressed with them for they what they cost.

if the car is a 91 then you are fine to remove them.are the flea bay cats the ones sold by 2fast2cool? as i have a pair and am very impressed with them.the pipes come with divorced dump pipes which are said to aid spool on the turbos.

trust me you can bin it anyway.many cars on here have had it removed with no ill effects.mine included.one more thing to go wrong as the valves can stick in the open position. ;)

oh and the c02 will be fine at mot time. ;)

the egr feeds exhaust gas back into the engine to aid combustion.as has already been said bin it whilst its out.total waste of time for the uk.

the guys cars was an auto and i did the typical man thing and fitted them without reading the instructions.everytime we revved the car it stalled.after reading the blurb it tells you they will only work when fitted directly before the throttle bodies.your bovs might have shimmable springs if they have no adjusters.

Those hks bovs are not suitable for fitment where the recircs go the car will stall on over run.in the instructions it tells you they will only work when fitted on the pipes feeding the plenum.found this out when i fitted them for a guy in the usual place and no matter how they were adjusted the car stalled constantly when your foot was let off the gas.

you could always just replace the sagging front coil springs which is the reason most zeds get negative camber in the first place.

spl parts in the states sell a bracket so you can fit 350z discs to the front of the car.the 350z discs are huge compared to stock zed ones.the bracket kit is only $195.ive seen brembos on usa flea bay for about $150 for a 350.cheap upgrade for the money.

I put a disco potato on an s13 for a guy and it did lose some off the line performance but the mid range was fantastic.

are your throttle bodies syncronised properly.there is a screw on the n/s of the shaft which can be adjusted to ensure both throttle bodies open together when you accelerate.the screw can be seen where the linkage is joined from the tps side to the other.worth a look anyway.

Hi,Id imagine that the warning lights are a result of the crank pulley being loose.the drive belts to the altenator,and the power steering belts would have slipped.as for internal engine damage if you drove the car home then to the garage then probaly not.depends how hot the car got.if the front damper came off enough to let the cambelt ride off the crank sprocket then you may have had some damage.personally id get the cambelt checked.if they left the damper loose what else is??.have the drive belts refitted and try the car.with a bit of luck bud you may have got away with it.

it can be done.done mine using a truck ball joint splitter.i put an old bolt in the back of the knuckle to push against.took about half an hour to do.
