Hi, you guys in this Bristol wonderland area, are you interested in a local meet later in the year, say Marchish! I know Yewcheck came last year to the August one. We can combine with the Z club again and get a good turnout. Just floating the idea to get you interested. :hyper:

NZR Turbo/peformance woes.
A colleague here in the office has a LE 4WD Calibre Turbo, and the thing has not been performing as it should, i.e. when the Turbos are supposed to cut in, you just get a flat response no oomph! ( v. tech). He has tried new new intake, new B off valve etc. had it dynod several times to check output curve, all to no improvement. Can anybody here recommend a workshop that could do Dyno check and sort out the problem? South west area preferably ( Bristol ):(

Front Wiper Length
I replaced mine a while back, as they were squeeking and not cleaning so good. Went to local store and got champion 21" at about £8 each, as listed for Zed, and now no squeek and I can now see when wet. recommend them.

BP Ultimate vs Optimax???
LRP is has a high octane value about 98? I think. So should be OK from that point of view. Howeve, john says that LRP would kill the Lambda sensors, to the existance of which I must confess complete ignorance. can you explain what these are and how and why they are affected? Sorry to be such a dunce!

BP Ultimate vs Optimax???
If you are decatted, would not LRP be just as good and cheaper, than either Opti or BP ult. anybody tried it???

UK Rear Wheels vs J Spec - Why?
Mines ajspec NA so of course never frlt the need to change. I have noticed though that tyres do wear edge to edge so getting full tread on the road, so would pressume wider tyres would give even more tread on the road! However do things change as soon as you put larger dia. wheels on?

How much BHP improvment from a new exhaust?
I've got single zorst HKS super dragger, with no cat, and sounds really great. From memory I think the japanese performance car mag listed this mod as giving between 15 to 20 bhp increase. And yes due to variable valve timing it really does need to be thrashed to get to the max. powerband above 5k, but sounds lovely. at normal revs still sounds deep and and burbly and quite load comparedto normal cars.

pads and discs

pads and discs
I need to get some pads and possibly new front discs for my 91 zed. Up to now have been using standard TT pads from Nissan ( got at discount through friend ) but too expensive normally. Did b19rks offer cheap pads etc.? at some time in the past, or has my memory failed me. Anybody got any recommendations or options. just want equivalent, or better than standard not OTT upgrade, cost is all important. Cheers.

early limiting
it sounds like it is still restricted, indicated 120=112 actual. does it start to missfire or just dye away and then come backup to the brick wall? I did not think they had cats until 92!

Wet and Horny
I had that problem last year, after severe downpour, but not only did the horn go off which I had to disconnect, it also shorted out the other things including the ECU and the car would not run above 2k rpm. Turned out that water from the T top drain in the A pillar was leaking onto a terminal block and shoting everything out. Took QAS( Local Autobox and electrical specialist) a few days to track it down, and put in a new unsplit drain tube that extended to where it was supposed to go, i.e. outside. Everything OK since even in severe storms

Cambelt change
This is linked, as one advantage with Jeff is that as he literally next door to Drayton Manor theme park, you can drop car off and spend the day on the rides before take your ride home.:D take the family, girlfriend etc. on the pretext of a day out and just say I know a place where I can park free and get the car serviced at the same time! Also Jeffs price is VAT free and usually does all the drive belts. He Knows Zeds and their delicate ways, and can do ConZult check tune up!
