  1. Depends on what sort of work you want doing, horses for courses etc. I use Motormend in Charlton Road, Kingswood for servicing, they are putting new rad in this week. Kerry on 0117 9604267. Specialised, cam belts etc. Use Zedworld, Jeff tt. or Protechnical in Nialsea tel. 01275 5859955 Elecrtrics, Wiring etc. I use a mobile electrician, he comes to you, amazing, he sorted my cruise control out, found a broken wire under the Relay box! tel.John on 07774294149 Gearboxes auto especially QAS in Filton another John tel. 01179699500. Hope this helps!
  2. Ok, I use a Guy called Ivan in Kingswood, done some good work on my Zed. He is in Charton Road. Tel. no. 0117 9608324
  3. No smoke of any kind!, Rad being fixed tomorrow so will know soon anyway? Let you know what happens!
  4. When my top rad pipe let go on the M5, snapped off. pretty explosive. I thought it was just the plastic top conn. had failed. Its a 91 NA auto by the way. Getting replacement rad. but had a thought that it might be the head gasket??? causing excess pressure! AA made temp conn. and got home OK, no further water loss, but eventually leaking again as not much left to connect to. left rad cap loose so no pressure build up. Anyway to check other than to fit new rad and see what happens?
  5. Further to getting bits for this, from Andy Z, has anybody got any pics or info. on how to fit UK Autobox cooler. to jap car.
  6. My Jap rad ( in a NA) has gone west, top hose conn. snapped of, ouch ( on M5 ). On top of that the AA managed to damage wing on recovery! Andy can get me a UK Rad plus sep. auto box cooler, but is this an easy straight swap and adapt or are there any pitfalls. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks guys
  7. Just read this, sounds like a stripped splines on the stator shaft to me, on which the torque converter runs, which is not good. The only sure way is to strip and have a look.
  8. Silly question, but does your horn work, would you believe that the horn activate wire is routed through the ascd (auto speed control device ) on the steering wheel. I had same problem a few weeks ago, found broken wire just under the horn relay, now they both work OK
  9. A few more
  10. Here we go
  11. Mines not working either, been OK untill last week, when the horn stopped working as well. Fuses OK and wiring seems ok, also sprung connectors on the back of the S wheel look ok and making contact?
  12. My horn and Cruise have both stopped working in the last few days! All fuses and wiring from Steering wheel boss appear ok, so do the sprung contacts behind the wheel. Any ideas anybody??!! :(
  13. All ok now for the moment!!, thanks guys.
  14. As said before, great day, thanks to all for coming, especially Ryan, who sorted everybodys problems! Will post pics later when sorted if others dont beat me to it. Nice to have some 350's 4 in all, and all different colours, very nice cars if only I could afford one. :( Where were the Z31's and in particular Suzy!? and Chris. Thanks again for attending, see you all soon.
  15. Suzy, That means Champagne all round then!!!
  16. Great stuff. Will be quite busy down there, so can everybody try to be early. With such a good turnout we should have a lot of interest from the locals :)
  17. I have just done this, got one fron Wessex garages in Bristol in 7 days, cost £51 inc VAT. Pain to do, but went OK in the end. Just one point, do not try and undo the plastic bit at the top where the mast goes into the body work, the bit with grooves each side of the mast. Once the whole assembly is loose just remove single screw at base of tube connecting the tube to motor body and pull the outer tube off to take out old drive and then reinsert new.
  18. Try NU direct?
  19. For the past week I have been experiencing a fast idle up to 1.5k instead of the usual 750/800, which is most anoying in an auto ( NA by the way). Checked Yellow connector to rad. Cleaned it and all ok (Elec fan does not come on unless v.hot). anybody got any thoughts!? Please.
  20. Seems like about 7/8 coming so far Plus Z club, should be agood turnout! With you all meeting in a convoy, you soild have a blast along the ring road to Hanham, no cameras yet!! Take left at the Cinema Complex roundabout, straight on to A431, turn lleft again at roundabout towards Bath. straight on about 1 mile to mini roundabout, turn right and road will narrow, after twisty bit turn very sharp left after rt. hand bend, road even narrower as you go down hil to river and Pub. See you all soon.
  21. Yep 12.00 seems about right, pubs open then, and we should have the pick of the parking spaces, so we can all keep together.
  22. A bit late in seeing this, but it was probably me!

 Here we go again, its that time of year. Suggest we have a Bristol meet again. The Old lock and Weir/ Chequers at Hanham seems to go down OK, as it is down by the river, plenty of space if early, and has TWO pubs! Date , how about 25th April, makes it 4 weeks before Castle Coombe. Any one interested. Z club may come again, will contact Suzy?
  24. Danny, Ok, I'm convinced, I want one. How do I pay and when can you send it?
