looking at increasing to 555 injectors however i can see that alot of sites are saying nismo 555 injectors commonly known for lasting only a year in the 1990+ 300z's is this true or should i be looking at a different brand of 555 injectors? wishing to get some soon

Just wanna say a big thank you to Mark, picked up the car yesterday and i cant stop smiling, she pulls good and quick and feels well solid, dont think iv ever been so chuffed with the performance on the car and its only 12psi i think, hopefully after a few hundred miles ill take it to 14 psi and be laughing my head off Gotta say he deserves alot of credit for getting her done and the work was to a supreme quality, love the new gauges Mark you done a brilliant job mate and im chuffed as it didint cost me as much as i thought...... Guys car is running a bit rich (exhaust pipes are sooty and black). Power delivery & boost all seem ok. I know that I need to adjust the TPS as it is very slightly out. Any suggestion were to start looking, adjust mixture etc. I will have Conzult soon to check out codes etc. thanks in advance, H. Just a thought the car hasn't been on many long runs recently, only 8-15 miles for the last month or so, could that have any illl effect? ps. Cars running JWT chip, 14 psi, Biltz filter, standard tubs at the moment.

ok until i next get the engine out i will resort to using others advice and getting some hammerite spray and APC cleaner and doing it satin black............. hopefully will go with the polished plenum and the blue silicone that matches the cars body colour So would you say these two are what I need? hello every1, just done a shell change from a uk auto tt [converted to manual] into a jap spec manual [no rust] [jap car had no cruise control] 1 of the problems i have is i used all the jap spec looms apart from the engine loom which is from the uk car, next to the fuse box in the engine bay, their is only 2 plugs, but on the engine loom their is 3, would any1 no what the extra plug is for, as any1 else done a complete shell change, will my uk clocks and other parts all just work or have i run myself into a lot of little problems,lol, any help will be really appreciated, thank you,

Ive got a 1990 TT auto that had its MOT after sitting for about 6 months.....when driving back from the garage, and once warmed up, i dropped the hammer, as one does....after about 3 seconds of max boost (running standard) the engine just stalled (dont panick!) and restarted after about 5 secs of coasting. I drove it home very gently and promptly changed my underwear. When home, I noticed the fuel pump was making a louder whine than usual to...and the car was idling erratically, seemed to misfire.... when stationary and revving the engine, as soon as you let off the throttle pedal, the revs would drop very low and the car would stall 50% of the time... Sorry if this has been answered already - I tried the search but couldnt find a straight answer. So.... my brakes are shite. They heat up in about 2 mins. Also the pads start to rub on the disc on the front left side which makes the wheel knock really bad so its probably warped the disc. I cant decided if I should see if the calipers can be rebuilt or splash out (eventually) on some big brakes... the k sport 356mm 8 pot front and 330mm 6 pot rear look/sound quite good. So, my question is... if I went down the big brake route would I need to upgrade anything inside the motor (master cylinders etc) to power all the new pistons?? or is it literally a case …

best way to fit JBL 6x4 rear speakers as they don;t locate with the oem retainers?

Any advice on the above? Mine are very pitted and in need of sorting out, nissan replacments are a fortune and ideas / advice guys?

:taz:I have to adress 2 things now that are: 1) Car failed inspection cause 1 rear shock was ....errrr.... bad... :) So i think i am going to need some advise on wich shocks i should use. My goal is a somehow better response from stock units (even thought i dont know them new) but nothing fancy cause is only street use not racer. Also, i found i have champion spark plugs, that have very sooty deposits, ive put in 4 NGK plats so far, need to get the balance bar off tomorrow and do the rest, but while im there, id like to do a Comp test. As above, Need to drop the front cross member but I don't know what torque to do the bolts up to when it goes back on.

I'm in the middle of changing my rack bushes for ES ones. I've removed the brackets holding them in place and changed the n/s one easily. Problem im having is getting the drivers side one off. The rack only has a little amount of play and I can't get the old one out. I know that this side is a "bit tricky" but I'm getting nowhere with it. Hi Guys, Long time no post - Poor Z has been sitting in the garage for a year feeling sorry for its self, so have decided to put it back on the road (I will renew membership as and when it is) Anyways.... The reason it was put off the road was it constantly popped water hoses, as soon as one was fixed another would go, therefor ive been following the aus300zx guide on doing the plenum pull. I have gone over the removal guide a good 6 or 7 times but I still cannot get the plenum to lift off - its wiggling but will not lift - anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance, -Stu

Ok so not technically a Zed part, but there are plenty around the Stroesk front bumpers. Indicator unit? Of course I looked all over the housing etc and cannot find any branding (that makes sense!) as to what manufacturer made these items. I would like to change them for something a bit more modern, i.e. clear glass. Thought I had found them last week and bought a pair of Mazda MX5 Eurospec lights from the USA via fleabay. Turned out the weren't the ones :thumbdown: Anyway a beer at the JAE for the person who identifies them correctly. cheers H.

I have a 1990 jap import with no handbook and have no idea how the cd player or radio work, also the clock underneath does not light up. Any body out there help? Thankyou.

Hi everyone, I have bought a 300zx fom a mate that had been in storage for a while and have put it back on the road but have no handbook and cannot figure out how to swith the radio on. It is a 1990 import and my mate is no longer available(travelling) Thankyou.

LOL... first sighting since I got the Z..... (4 months) about 7:30 pm.... Sliver one at junction 23, then 10 minutes later a white one at Taunton junction 25... waved at both... ..... both going north, I was on the southbound carriageway....
