has anyone been buying brake shoes for 300. just check with numerous people and nothing lower that 120 pounds i came across ..(( help ..

IT CAME AND LOOKS THE TITS BUT NO FITTING KIT AND NO DESTRUCTIONS, SO WENT BACK ON FLE BAY AND NOW HAVE FITTING KIT BUT STILL NO DESTRUCTIONS IS THERE ANYWHERE I CAN GET OR DOES SOMEONE HERE HAVE ONE FITTED AND WOULD KINDLY HELP ME OUT . CHEERS.:confused1:

Anybody know where to get them from at a reasonable price, I rang mellett up and they only deal with trade so I ring a turbo company they put me onto and they wanted £15 each, I don't spend that on the kid at christmas :ohmy:

Just a quick question My petrol pump seems to be constantly making some noise but seems to be working fine at the moment. Is there anything to be worried about or is it OK . It was off the road for a good few months so I was wondering if it just needs cranking up or a long run to get it really loosen up. I am lucky enough to have a spare VG30DETT in the garage, me and my mate were discussing sticking it in a classic car. I've got the engine crossmember, mounts, loom, ecu, etc etc, what would be a good car for it do you think? I originally planned to keep it as a spare and get it uprated and rebuilt for mine, but I also like the idea of a one-off project car. Purely speculation at the mo, but open to any ideas flying around? :thumbup:

Is there a resticter in 1 off the pipes from the air reg to the idle control valve mine is has some after market pipe staight pipe this maybe the problem with my idle ordeed 2 new pies from nissan today thanks taff.

does TT discs (front and rear) fit the N/A, im sure it does but thought id ask you zed guru's.. :arabia: :thumbup:

Yellow ZX last Wednesday about 1500. Pulled out of a minor road opposite the above pub, between Hook and Basingstoke. Couldnt tell if it was Import or not.

looking under the car i could see surface rust in a few places.... pretty much all at the front in parts where the car was poorly sprayed and not masked up... which ended up spraying alot of things like pipes, radiator and quite alot underneath front of car.. before i do any thing major with the engine in future i wish to keep this protected... can anyone advise how i can treat the surface rust and then carry on protecting it in future?

Finally got the time and what a lovely day to do it too. to get to the PCV valves, started with the drivers side as that's where i have the smoke on that bank. managed to get the hose of, and soon as i started moving it, oil started dripping out (PCV valve side) got the pipe off eventually from the rear smaller pipe, and the pipe is actually clogged. there seems to be some kind of hard thing in it, about half way down that seems to be restricting the flow. of what ever it is, to the PCV valve. is this meant to be there, or can i just replace the pipe with a suit able substitute?.

can anyone recommend a good sealant... nissans charges are a bit ridonkulous to say the least....... just hoping to pick some up and apply the High Temperature Resistant Sealant for the waterpump :confused1:

Was away to get rear discs n pads but there was some confusion if they would fit due to mines being an import. Are the discs n pads for my 89' jap the same as the early uk spec??

As I have new harness which meant to be going on LHD car I need examples, pictures and ideas how to fit the cable and the battery at the same time. The extra amount of cables giving me headache. The next option is relocate the battery which will cost me more money, hassle and most importantly I have no room in the boot because of custom audio setup. Please post some pics if you have LHD harness in RHD car.

I'm considering a set of mazda rx8 alloys for my z31, the guy selling them doesn't know much about them so I've been gathering info online. They have a big offset so would require a fairly chunky set of spacers (hubcentric of course) for starters to push them out towards the arches, from what I can gather online it looks like the centre bore for the rx8 is 67.1mm, with the z31 being 66.1mm - with that 1mm difference do you think there would be much vibration? I'm currently advertising my zed on ebay as a classified. To cut a long story short, the guy (matt lewis racing) (mattyzx) wanted me to pass up another swap I was going to do, and sell my car to him for my asking price. I said how do I know you're genuine and won't nit-pick when you arrive? He said he already has a zed and knows the score with these cars, as long as there aren't plumes of smoke from seized turbo's, gouges in the bodywork, rust etc, he will go ahead. He paid me £200 deposit on the basis that none of these things (or equivalent) were present via Paypal. (No auction had ended, no offer was accepted on ebay, so my ad was still running). next on my list of things to do with my zed is to change the pcv valves as i have a bit of smoke at idle from the passenger side bank which appears after a couple of mins of idling . can the old valves and pipes be cleaned up or do they need to be replaced . if they need to be replaced can anyone recommend a place to buy from . also is it an easy enough job to do .
