Hi Guys, i've seen a lot of threads on re-trimming the interior panels with materials from e-bay/zcentre/own hide, well i'm looking at doing mine. All the panels i need to do are covered in cloth, they're not bare plastic (like my old MR2), so do i remove the cloth or bond the hide straight onto the cloth, if i do remove the cloth, how easy is it and would a layer of foam underneath be advisable. Cheers Rich

following my new full stainless japspeed system incl decats, the original pipe work that used to connect to the exhausts ie flexi pipes that enter the system behind cats is still connected to the AIV. when starting the car you get exhaust fumes, discharging at these points. do i need to fully remove the aiv system with solenoids, or can i just undo one of the hoses in the engine bay? and cap off as a quick fix. I will be removing the whole system when i get more time. stu

Today i was out driving my 1990 Nissan 300zx N/A Auto, all was fine, until i turned the engine off, when i came to turn it back on again some 10 mins later, it would not start, after cranking it over for a good 5 mins, she splutterd into life, i drove down the road and she stalled, i looked at fuel gage, it was reading as empty, so i put some fuel in, and she started, i went to fuel station, turned off, put more fuel in, would not start again, i called for recovery, they came out, couldnt find why it was not starting, then after a good 20 mins of on off cranking, she fired up, not running 100% but started, and ticked over, but whilst ticking over, she sounded like she was…

What an absolute biatch slap, fried frickin chicken, lumpy bumpy, sucky wucky, dog suck of a job. :sweatdrop: It has taken me two days... yes two days to fabricate and fit one seat :w00t:. You cant get frames for Recaros that fit the 300zx, so you have to buy universal Recaro frames and then use the supplied steel rods and hardened steel lengths to fit them. I could not in any way use the old 300 frames or runners as they lifted the seats up to high. For two days I have been in the garage like a medieval blacksmith heating steel tougher than diamonds!. Then slowly beating it into shapes or around bars to fit the original mounting points. The stuff is so t…

Right my car has a Greddy EBC fitted, it works fine ish. Its set to give 0.5 bar on low and 1.0 bar on high, displayed on a defi gauge. No problems there, apart from its quite laggy/no smooth when building boost. The car seems to build 0.5 quickly and then be a bit reluctant to increase up to 1.0 until its at higher revs. By that I mean the increase in boost pressure isnt smooth. Its not a major issue but its something I would like to fix, does anyone have their settings for their EBC written down anywhere so I could try them in mine? Anyway, last night i was driving home and it suddenly dawned on me that I could turn the EBC off so I though, aha i'll see what h…

As you know car is running big bhp, but on the other hand i am not using it as an everyday car as people who know me already know:tt2: my week end toy. Did think of just replacing friction plate like for like as clutch plate has loads of meet left on it. ACT 6 puk has been mentioned again any thoughts?? Dave
