I'm doing a euro trip with a couple of mates this summer (taking the Z, obviously!). I have a concern about fuel though, I've only ever used 99 ron (v-power) fuel, supposedly that's what it's mapped/chipped to use. Does anyone know what the availability of higher-octane fuel is like in France and throughout the alps? Also, does anyone have any recommendation for good routes? We were planning on heading down to Mont Blanc, through the alps to the Stelvio pass then italian lakes, south coast of France, Paris and home...

Just taxed the vert, the reminder quoted, 12months @ £190, when i came to pay it was £205!!!! absolutley scandalous. They need to spend a bit more money on the state of the roads, pot hole Britian. :mad2:

Just a quick question that I'm sure someone can answer easily. Does the front Z badge on the panel have pins that extend into the plate or is it just stuck on? I'm looking to remove it in the near future but I'll just leave it for the time being if it'll leave holes in the plate. Peter

I keep hearing knocking noises from the back of the car (passenger side). It happens when going over some bumps (even littler ones in the road) and seems to be there when turning some corners too. Kind of sounds like an empty plastic box. I thought it might have been the exhaust but it doesn't appear to be. Im thinking is it maybe the boards in the boot (boot floor) but I dont see why it would suddly start doing it now. Anyone got any other ideas?

During a routine cambelt change it was discovered that when previous work had been done in the same area who ever had refitted it all up was a bit heavy handed with the old sealant. Sealant / instant gasket is perfectly good product that when used correctly can be a time saver and save some money too. However when meeting faces are machine cut they only need a small uniform smear of sealant to make a good job, it can be very tempting to load the joint up thinking it will make a better job of it, all it does though is squeeze out into places it was not meant to. These two photo's shows the upper water pipe removed, it appears to have an extra it was not meant to …
