  2. Hi all Complete newbie post here!.... My name is Andy and have been a jap fan for a long long time! Signed up to this today as I bought a bodykit today for my car (a MR2, dont hate me though, ive had a few Nissan S14As before so im not all bad!) and noticed this at the workshop. The owner gave it to me to modify and fit to my car as they didnt have the right bumper for the kit i picked up (helpful.. not!). But this is clearly going to be far too much grief getting it to fit on to my car so am going to Ebay it instead. Wondered if any of you guys could help me with my listing though as I dont want to describe it innacurately. Im guessing its a Veilside type rep b…

I have been looking for a UK 300ZX for about 3 months now, and I haven't been able to find anything that's right for me, so I'm thinking about looking at imports instead. Obviously my insurance will be more expensive, but if I can counter it with a cheap car, it should even out. After some research, my insurance will be around £2000-£2500, so I will be looking to spend £1000-£1500 on the car itself. My question is, what kind of car will I be able to get with that kind of budget? Since there's no rules on how to price a 300ZX, it's hard to tell which ones are good and which ones are bad. As I say, I've only been looking for 3 months, so I need a bit of help!

Right The first thing to let you all know is there are dump valves on the car and i dont have the original EGRs so refitting is not possible..... When the car starts it sometimes sits about 1500 RPM other times its lower. (Cold weather or Hot) The tickover seems a little irratic. if you lightly blip the throttle it sometimes sits high for a sec then settles or drops low then settles. When you brake from hard it stalls. I have tightened up the dumpvalves and it helps on the deceleration stalling but is still awful. If its stationary and you give it a 6k rev it also shows the symptoms of trying or actually stalling. I have checked the TPS? I think th…

right i need a clear answer, what is the difference between a drivers side and passengers side turbo, has any on got pictures of each side? because as far as i can tell the only difference is that the compressor wheel is clocked to a different angle, they have the same compressor and exhaust housing and the middles are the same, which if im right meen play time...:thumbup1: and that my Z might be saved from the scrap yard, as i have a T28H and if i get a second could deal with my current turbo problems... i think id need a different set of elbows but evrything else should match...:shifty:...

ok, after having trouble removing plenum i got some advice from a fellow zedder and will attempt to get the last few bits off and free the plenum. only problem is i am aiming to remove the Hicas solenoids/pumps (as i have the locking bar) and remove as much junk as possible. when looking at removing the HICAS part in the engine bay i could see the thing shared a pipe with the resevior pot. my question is......... if i plan to install a manual gearbox, clutch and clutch booster, remove AIV, EGR etc what pipes do i need to pick up? I can see that i need something to stop the REsovior connecting to the Hicas unit so i am trying to build a list of how many…

Just been to my local tame mechanic to ask about some suspension bits. ANyway, the last few days the car has been juddery at light throttle applications and lower revs so I was thinking TPS, sure enough popped the bonnet and the spring clip holding it on has disapared so its loose. Anyway it was pissing me off today so I thought i'll disconnect it and much to my suprise it made no difference. So I got home and began to have a proper poke around Bearing in mind the car drives just the same as it ever has above 3000rpm and even below if youve got a heavy foot, just tickling the throttle gives this juddering. Okay so picture time, firstly On this picture there…

Was just finnishing the last few bits so the battery could go in to try and get the car running. jacked the car up with two hydralic jacks on the middle of the cross member at the front. Firstly using a small one to then get the big one in there to get it high enough to put on ramps. The front of the car was on concrete with the two rear wheels backed out of my garage onto my shingle drive way. I checked it was central on the cross member as I jacked it up using the the big jack, the back of the car must have slid back on the shingle as it went up and it fell off the jack. With a loud thump the car slid back off the jack and then fell back down. The jack…
