Was out for a drive the other weekend with my buddy and we decided to go get some beers as it was a nice day.. We pulls up at the local supermarket and to my horror this was what I saw 2 bays next to my car and my mates supra  I didn't know what to say, I don't know if it belongs to anyone on here, but I hope they are intending to get it fixed up soon as it's such a shame to see a Z in that state... -Sigh- :(

Is there any other car that the Nissan 300zx shares a gearbox with (I assume the TT and NA manual are the same)? This information could provide a cheaper way of sourcing a gearbox!

Hi Guys Went to Milton Keynes last night, which is about an hour's drive. On the way there, (about 3/4 ) i noticed the oil Temp was running at about 102/103 degrees. i had not thrashed it in any way, but just took it easy (had the wife on board) i kept an eye on it till i parked up, stayed 100-103. Went home later after 2 hours, temp was no prob, stayed 85-90, i have noticed it go up to 97/99 after some positive driving... but it always returned to normal. is this something to worry about?, what exactly goes on with the oil, is it gearbox oil? any advice would be helpful. Cheers BTW its a TT

  15. After many years of inactivity i decided to rebuild my twin ****ing bitch. I am a member for many years but in the last few years due to family reasons (building a house, having a child, and blah blah blah) i ignored my Z completely. My 300ZX was equipped with twin Greddy TD-06 20G´s on stock engine and i was able to reach 750hp at 1.35bar. Now i am aiming for 2bar with 150shot of NOS and a fully rebuild engine. Me and my brother have another project going on. 300ZX drag car with twin Greddy T-72 turbochargers aiming close to 1300hp. I will keep you guys informed. Glad to be back boyz.

The rebuild and upgrade has started , engine and box are now out , forgot what a bloody job this was , first time mantav8 and i pulled it to do the tubs and other bits the box was left in situ , pulling it with the box on was the obvious way of doing it this time , but was a PITA !! I,ve got divorced down pipes fitted , just lifting the engine and thinking it was going ok the O/S one fouled on the steering column , it was a bit un-nerving lying under the car to remove this with the engine hanging !! Gonna remove all the aircon gubbins , give it a good clean and then tidy up the inner wings as there,s some bubbling patches need sorting , should keep me busy for a while…

Yes the car I owned for six and a half years went to the crushers a few months ago :(. Failed mot on a rotten sil, a hole the size of a 50p, and the other side was cracked, also a bald inside edge on tyre (no adjustable camber arms lowered on 18's) I have had rust welded up on vans before and it really is a long term battle. I knew that it was its final year last year as the arches were going bubbly the filler was cracking and on some parts the kit was coming away. It was a sad day but I knew it would'nt last forever. All the parts off it will be put on my new series one car a year older but only been imported since 2005, very clean body. Lots of work to do, ju…

I`m not normally a cheap skate when doing thing`s to my zeds, but at the moment I cant justify spending £1500+ on retrimming my interior.....so I`ve had a go myself on some small items :w00t: So first I purchased the centre arm rest cover and fitted that, not the best fit but its ok, then I had a brain wave, if I purchased another one and sliced it in 2 then i would have enough material to cover both small door card arm rests, It JUST works and looks kinda ok, so heres some pics of my progress. Hi all, Has anyone fitted the Greg dupree 3" expansion down pipes??? The reason being is after alot of hassel taking the engine in and out to make way for the actuators and various other problems over the weekend  I finally got the engine in place to find that the steering wheel shaft rubs agaist the down pipe and bolt that connects the down pipe to the turbo. Has anyone else had this problem? Im hoping that once ive removed the heat wrap round the down pipe and fitted the gearbox and mount the engine will tilt futher forward and give me some clearence. Id rather not take the engine out again and start modding the down pipe to fit as i kn…
