Just had boost controler fitted with ecu upgrade by dyno demonds in ellesmere port,when collected the car noticed Hicas warning light was on so questioned this and was told when they put the car on the rolling road to set up boost this would of happend then and the light should go out? Light is still on after driving home 20 miles. Has this happend to anyone else when putting there car on dyno? They have told me if the light stays on to ring them.

i've had problems with battery drain for ages, and been through about 3 batteries in almost as many years. as long as I run the Z at least once in a 5-day span then it charges up enough (e.g. to and from work) and isn't a problem, but after standing only 3 days unused, it only just started this morning, and worryingly, struggled a little bit to start this evening when leaving work. the voltage reading (usually 14+ when charging and 13.8 when idling) only reached 13.8 when driving, and sat at 13.3 when idling. the battery is approx. 6 months old and is a good make. ...so I'm going to buy a multimeter from halfrauds and set about molesting the fuse boxes. my …

Hi all, as title suggests, it seems my Z has developed some sort of throttle issue, or fuel delivery issue or maybe something totally different such as idle switch or something..? Last night driving home from my Mum's after a bank holiday roast, for some reason as I lifted the throttle to change gear, and then applied it again, it was as if the cable had just been removed from the pedal, I could put it to the floor and nothing would happen, I lift wait a couple of seconds and it was back on again, totally random events too, I couldnt distinguish it to any bumps I went over in the road or anything.. I've also noticed that there is lots of petrol smell once I've arrriv…

Hi has anyone got a pic of the battery connections particulary negative terminal lead as mine on 1995 N/A manual appears to have come away from the bulkhead it must be a negative earth, as it wouldnt let car start, there is a threaded bolt hole and a large spade type connector in the lead but it looks a little short when offered up to bolt hole there is also a plastic cable clip type thing under it. basically i want to know if i need this clip thing and new bolt or just bolt through spade connector direct to bulkhead. I didnt want too risk Pulling wire to get it to fit in case i damaged it !! Any help or pics appreciated..

got my car in with D2 and they are doing a cracking job so far but i have found out my car won;t start at all today. Darren says its electrical and that there is no spark. It ran fine before i took it off the road last august and so wondered if something is wrong :( He says Both Series 2 and Series 1 PTU seems to get Red Hot Very Fast. Any ideas?

Having tried to re trim my interior not too long ago, and having had the rear quarter panel bits lift due to using crappy spray glue, I removed them and tried again this weekend, only to give up due to not being able to get it quite right. My question is this: does anybody know anyone who can recover these two awkward panels. I just wanna get looking right. Cheers in advance.

just finishing off my engine bay ready for paint. i have removed the hicas and smoothed the inner wing, i have also removed the battery tray and cleaned up/smoothed. i would like to do the same on the passanger side but im not sure where the fuse box will go. its a tt with std side mounts so im not sure if i have room in the usual place anyone know better?

Hi I bought some de-cat pipes they are from andy 300 went to get them fitted and they don't fit they don't bend up to the down pipes or reach them am I supposed to buy longer downpipes for them or are they the wrong pipes. Thanks bjorn

Few wks ago noticed the headlights flickered as if loose wire or something but they did stay on. Anyway havent used car for sometime now, went to get MOT'd and the lights aren't workin. Side lights come on as does full beam but neither side of dipped beam are workin?.... Did all the usual checks of all connections and have checked all the fuses and all seems ok???? Any ideas guys & gals? Cheerz James

im looking at putting somwething like ultralites atec2 in 18 inch in bronze to my zed. my question is does anyone have them or simular in bronze fitted to a red zed so i can get an idea what id be looking at. also how much lower would i need to go to fill the arch?

after reading the replys on lil stevies thread aobut timers and remote starts (as this was EXACTLY what i was thinking) i was wondering how long to let my z warm up and how long should i cool down for? i have tried to find other threads on this, but get mixed answers. does it make a difference if i have not been heavy on the loud pedal? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ever since buying my zed i liked the idea of a turbo timer. i know its advised to just keep of the boost for the last few miles, but i'm not allways able to plan when i'm going to stop. so for ease (and also i think there a bit cool) i woudn't mind fitting one. however trying to find some one to fit one is not turning out to be too easy. every place i ring either doesn't fit them, or just ask me to ring back at a later date. i wouldn't mind having ago and fitting one myself (just turns out i am an electrician) but to my understanding the imobiliser would have to be bypassed to allow the car to lock and the engine to keep running. so i wasn't to keen on tampering with that…

hey everyone! i really want to get my engine bay looking real purdy, i was pretty impressed with the one on my SR20DE im thinking that making some black covers to cover the left and right sides would be a lot easier than painting and shining all the components underneath heres roughly what im thinking, please excuse the rough drawings, but its just so you get the gist, ide be covering the bits in white, leaving holes for the ps caps etc to poke though, and a few vents for cooling what i was wondering is...... has anyone done this before and still has the templates or dimensions etc, or any tips or advice in doing this? im having a few issues here . at the front on the drivers side the arch is sitting 15mm lower than the passenger side . this is snagging on the wheel in bumps and left hand corners and also very slightly under braking . at the rear end the passenger side is sitting 15 mm lower than the drivers side . so opposite corners front driver and rear passenger are both 15mm lower than other side . ive had a really good check underneath around all the links and bushes and the only one which looks like it needs changing now is the front stabilizer bar bush (drivers side) there is still a bit of give in all four corners so i dont think any of the shocks are siezed . any ad…

Hi everyone Is anyone else of the opinion of I wish my sidelights matched my HID's? well.. I was, I hated that my little sidelights (hidden in the foglight housing) were a dull orange when my main beams were so white! So whilst in my local maplins I saw, in a lowered price rack, a group of LEDs which were ready wired for use within a car, you can just drill a hole in where ever your putting it and it locks in, which was quick, easy and as they were only £3 a box, cheap too! Guy,s, I will be getting my new wheels soon, they are 8.5 x 18 front and 9.5 x 18 rear. Question , i have standard callipers all round and ebc slotted and grooved discs, will i need spacers to clear the brakes ? Mine is a 1990 tt jap import. Cheerz Chris

sounds like a daft question, but has anyone bought this for the front? If so, does it come in a jiffy bag on a card kinda thing, or in a box?
