I went to get her MOT'd on Wednesday - everything fine apart from a bit of play in the nearside track rod end, no advisories. Part arrived yesterday - Silverbullet fitted it today, back to MOT tester - All good! Happy man here really considering she is my daily drive. Thanks for your help today Mark (Silverbullet) I would recommend him to anyone needing some work done. Also if you get to go to the garage he uses you can see not 1, not 2 but at least 10 Ferraris - some race spec some just stunning like the testarossa!

hi, i know there are loads of threads about the dreaded auto box but i have to be in work soon - my auto box is a 2nd hand one and working lovely - oil cooler fitted at the same time - it was running great today - stopped for fuel and now will not change out of 2nd - checked oil and seems fine - extremely clean almost transparant with a hint of pink - no codes on diagnostics - can it be a simple blockage or anything other than knackered gearbox - i suppose if this one is dead it will be conversion time anyone got any good options - how much for a rebuild if i remove box etc - any help greatly recieved regards dave

Ok darren at D2 said that my WOT issue seemed to have disappeared which makes me wonder if the Autobox was slipping under high revs at high speed in ever 3rd or 4th gear. Darren also told me that someone removed the bleed pipes or something when they put in boost jets and so the standard waste-gate management dont work properly so i am in safety boost all the time. He said that its pointless putting it back in as i have ordered a boost controller. so my question is..... can i install the Blitz dual SBC myself so i can get to 0.9 PSI soonish ? :)

  10. I was close to buying the spl track rods ends ($220 excluding postage and customs) to compensate for lowering, which bring the track arms back to centre, correct funky steering arm angles and bump steer under suspension compression. Pretty simple really. Heres what i have done. Still going through a few tests, the tracking is way out now so a full alignment will be needed, still haveent had it tracked since i fitted the lower arms i just lined it up best i could by eye. Before spacing the rose joints: notice the angle of the steering arms. WOW seriously out. Heres what the setup looks like: check out the corrected angle, much better: …

Guys and girls. Ive had this rattle for some time now, and its really starting to piss me off. Basically its a top end whirring rattle, sounds like a blown bearing. Its completely intermittent make no odds whethers its hot or cold. it can be provoked by holding the revs at around 2.5k rpm - 3k rpm. I can tell you its not: Cambelt tensioner - new Tensioner pulley - new Idler pulleys - new Water pump - new A/C pump - Disconnected and rattle still present Alternator - Disconnected and rattle still present Power steering pump - Disconnected and rattle still present Lifters - not a lifer noise, two oil changes havent improved/worsened it …

A recent "what's wrong with your Z" thread got me thinking.... .....as the only thing that doesn't work on mine is the headlamp wash system. There's no noise from the motor at all when pressing the button (yes; before you ask, I did try with the lights on.......). So I was thinking fuse or/and relay; any thoughts/ideas please? And where would I find the fuse/relay for it as I don't think it's in the main fuse box under the bonnet? Thanks, Richard:thumbup1:

  16. ive just spent the last 2 hours reading past posts about this and im needing some confirmation before i spend days fault finding. 90% of the time after a good blast the Ecu returns all clear, but on occasion while driving along i get the heavy fueling smell and before ive gone to check Ecu codes i know its registered a 33 and evry time im right. So i reset Ecu and for a few days its fine until it registers another 33. If i where to check the sensor is switching with a multimeter or Ecu light it will be doing as its only happening on occasion? My only option is to change it out for a known working one or new? What actually brings up the code 33? is the Ecu …

As the title says. My car's spewing out coolant and need to fix it but don't know how to go about this. I would take it to Jeff's, but the logistics of me getting it there under it's own steam, (see what I did there?), are complicated at best. OR if someone knows of someone in the Dorking area that could do it, that'd be an option!! Can someone please help? Thanks.

I wrote off my range rover yesterday which leaves me a car short. So im thinking off putting the Z back on the road. I have to put the plenum back and I wanted to put in the 550 injectors I bought. What would happen with just the injectors in and no other supporting mods ie chip or EBC. Would the car run ok?

I,ve took this week off with the intention of getting all the welding done on the zed , two days in and one sides done Cut the sill section off to reveal Then cut the inner panel back to reveal So i made a repair section and a new drain tube Then sectioned the inner panel Then the outer sill section and cut down the repair arch to as little as i could use as the arch only had one section of rot on it but i thought it best to fit it all anyway for peace of mind Just the other side to do now !!!

does anyone know the answer to this pleeeeeease. i have recently fitted a zenon rear bumper to my car (without the new exhausts fitted) now the problem, the 4" exhausts fit through the bumper (when not on the car) but when the bumper is on the car it looks like i will have to cut away at part of the vallance. thats iff the exhausts poke out the holes in the bumper, is the bumper and exhausts made inline with each other to fit or are they going to poke out somewhere else, im dammed if i know, help appreciated, thanks in advance.:batman:
